“It’s their statues…” The older woman began explaining, while gently rubbing her Fuecoco’s head. “They have the power to resurrect those three, somehow. At least that’s what Uxie thinks.”

Anger and bitterness briefly flash on her visage upon hearing the name of Ogerpon’s arch-nemesis. “I hope that damn peach stayed in Megalopolis and got eaten by the zombies!” She snarled, baring her fangs.

Andrea took a deep breath, regaining her composure. “It doesn’t matter… Pon and I will kill them again as many times as necessary.” She calmly stated.

Cass nods at Andrea's explanations ... "I trust Uxie there," she says, before massaging her temple. "I just wonder how and how we can put an end to this ... it seemed like they made a pledge somehow."

The mention of Uxie does make her think of another pokémon in her party, one that swiftly appears at the threats directed at Pecharunt. A Ralts appears that is no Ralts - and she wonders for a moment ... but she does trust Andrea, and it seems like Uxie's also talked to her. "We're also here if you want someone to hold that bastard peach down," she murmurs, leaning back slightly as she looks at the Ralts with the most intense stare ever.

"I ... uh, you know, Azelf?"

Just how the frick are you supposed to do reveals like these?

Gladly, Azelf takes over for her, simply dropping the disguise at the mention of its actual name - and not stupid other names that start with A.

Andrea tilted her head curiously at the girl’s question. “Azelf? They helped us escape from that awful prison. What about them?” She asked in turn.

The answer came in the form of the blue-headed lake sprite dropping its illusory guise and appearing at the violet-haired teen’s side. “Whoa! Hi there, Azelf!”

A rather casual way to greet one of the earliest beings in the history of the universe. Between Josh Devlin’s Raikou and Elise Calcifet’s Calyrex, she’d gotten used to her friends getting legendary Pokémon of their own.

“I reckon this little guy joined you for a reason.” Andrea remarked. “Have you met Eris Halla and Hideo Kino by any chance?” She added. Depending on the answer, she might have had to spill the beans.

Cass is relieved to see Andrea's reaction being fairly casual - she definitely doesn't know how to handle anything else than just saying it and moving on. Azelf seems to slightly turn to her with a lopsided grin of See? which she pointedly ignores, instead smiling with obvious relief at Andrea.

"I ... hope so," she replies, "though I haven't really figured out yet why, and maybe never will."

But there's something that she can feel, too. "Yes, I did! We talked sometime after the kidnapping, and I think we ... are friends." She thinks on the slightly more complicated situation with Eris Halla, but hope her words ring true also for Hideo Kino since she never really confirmed anything. "So, I know that they got Mesprit and Uxie respectively ... don't think I could get one without being involved with the other two, somehow," she smiles faintly.

"... but none of the League higher-ups know, and I'd like to keep it that way," she adds, being careful not to let her distrust towards the government show too much. She doesn't think Andrea would tattle - but better to at least mention it.

“Don’t worry, you’re not the first one to ask me to keep that a secret.” Andrea reassured the younger girl, not judging her in the slightest for her reticence.

Andrea’s Fuecoco waddled closer to Azelf, giving them a vacant, beady-eyed stare, before smiling. Hello, new friend.

“The League sees avatars and people who bond with legendary Pokémon as soldiers. I disagree with them.” The woman admitted. “Pokémon are not tools of war, especially not ones that are basically gods.”

Cass' expression is one of surprise, then grim agreement as she hears Andrea's words. "Yes, I fully agree with you there," she nods empathically, before shaking her head. "But between Rocket and the League ... a rock and a hard place, really," she sighs then, closing her eyes for a moment.

Azelf regards the Fuecoco with weary curiosity, unsure what to make of the little fire guy. Who is actually a bit taller than itself. As he smiles then, Azelf seems to relax a bit, giving the Fuecoco a little wave.

"With the war, it's almost like you're a soldier anyway if you wanna do something, anything."

“I don’t think that’s true. You’re only really a soldier if you take a side.” Andrea mused, mustering a warm smile as she watched her Fuecoco bond with Cassandra’s Azelf. “If you’re just trying to do the right thing and help as many people as possible, that doesn’t make you a soldier.”

That was what she had tried to do in Petalburg, and while it had ended up tragically and she regretted having been there in the first place, she knew that it had ultimately been the right thing to do. If Fallarbor Town had been attacked instead, she would have welcomed any help no matter where it had come from.

“By the way, if you and your friend ever get tired of living in caves, feel free to crash here. We have a spare room upstairs.” The Minor Gym Leader offered. “Plus, it would be kinda nice to have a sleepover with friends.” Her last sleepover had been with Elise Calcifet and that already felt like centuries ago.
