The wolf had become accustomed to his den, or rather, his prison cell. He had no idea what time it was cept for when they let him into the courtyard under extreme supervision. Any slight crack would be enough for him to escape, xerneas did not respond to his calls. [break][break]

He had been grieving alone. [break][break]

He knew as soon as he felt that vision against that bitch that something was going to happen to him. It was this, this was the fate she had spun and foretold to him. it was then he had made a rather strange request for his captors, to speak with her in private. They seemed conflicted on granting such a request at first but he promised to behave if they had honored it.[break][break]

To gain his compliance, they agreed and so the call was made for her to come and speak with the Wolf beast should she accept. [break][break]

He sat on the floor of his prison cell towards the back wall, his hands restrained and the heavy weights on his feet to hold him down.

She was working through another set of translations and pouring over as many books as she could carry at a time. Doug was still gone, and her addled mind gave her little room for rest. She couldn't stop, if she did, she'd only been waiting for the blink of an unown, that black panel... They were watching, they always were, and as a puppet on their path curated just for her... She just wanted to forget.[break][break]
Yuina was truly her own worst enemy thinking that she could hide away from it all...[break][break]
It didn't matter how exhausted and bone tired she was, the summons came, she was to come to Evergrande at once. It wasn't a suggestion, or a recommendation, it was an order... Because a prisoner was requesting to speak with her.[break][break]
Wrapping and unwrapping a silk, sunflower yellow ribbon in her trembling fingers, Yuina walked silently, as small as she ever felt, with the wardens through the doors of the prison. There was a moment that she struggled to breathe, as if that chain was around her neck all over again... that magenta haze at the farthest corners of her vision...[break]
She stumbled when the small entourage came to a halt, her thousand yard stare did little to help her coordination as she blinked, and she was offered an open door... To go in alone...[break][break]
It took more will and more energy than she truly had left to force herself through the door, the uncertainties were heavy, impossible to carry, Yuina had no idea what any of this was, what any of it meant, they'd given her a name but she didn't know who it was? She didn't know what a prisoner of war could want with her, she was inconsequential to so many, especially as she had not fought in the war itself, just tried to survive at the behest of the white haired lady... Was it that woman, and the Gardevoir? Had she somehow been taken prisoner?[break][break]
Yuina paled and froze entirely, the yellow ribbon strained between her hands as she found a man sitting on the other side of the cell...[break]
This was much... much worse...

Gods, he could use a cigarette. It would be comforting.[break][break]
However the only comfort he'd find in these four walls was the warmth from his hands being strapped to his sides so that he couldn't swing them.[break][break]

It seemed at least this prison would provide entertainment for him as the familiar face he requested appeared. "There you are, Yuina. Right?" he says as the once rabid man seemed more tame now. Honoring his promise, for now at least. [break][break]


"How's working for the triad going for ya'll? Was Killing Xerneas part of your master plan to cripple hoenn?" he asks him as he wondered how she'd respond to his outrageous claim. It was obvious bait to piss her off.

He spoke, regarding her... and there was a moment that Yuina couldn't decide which name she hated more... When he said her name, she hard that woman in kind... she wanted to tell them both to shut up. But her rage was buried beneath the thousand yard stare of her empty, glossy eyes that almost seemed to stare right through him. She was petrified, strangling her fingers in the length of silk between her hands with white knuckles, but her mind was reeling.[break][break]
'You're even working with them?! Taking their hand outs or somethin...'[break][break]
She couldn't breathe, knowing where he was, where they both were... Knowing what he saw, what they both heard...[break][break]
And then he said it, out loud, for any and everyone to hear, it was the loudest thing Yuina had ever heard and it startled her as she jumped and trembled where she stood. Her eyes darted in every direction, truly panicked... and then those oh so fragile threads of space time began to fray at the edges of her fingers...[break][break]
Yuina clutched her hands into white knuckled fists, eyes cast down, trying to breathe, trying to focus... Not here, not in the middle of league headquarters...[break]
"I-I don't know who Xerneas is," she spoke first, he wasn't going to blame her for something she didn't know, for a fight she didn't fight, for a casualty that she bore no part in... But he held so much more over her than that...[break][break]
"What do you want from me..."

Like the remnants of an electric shock, Yuina's fingers were fuzzy with the energy that she was so intimately familiar with... And the temptation to disappear within the frayed edges, to step through the shredded curtain just to feel anything like who she thought she was... [break][break]
Instead she rubs the silk between thumb and finger, the only other thing that her addled, ragged mind could cling to as she lowers her hands in front of her frame.[break][break]
"I'm no one," she returned first, as quick as it was quiet, and as true as she could mean it. She was a shadow, an empty shell with only the thinnest layer to present to the outside world. She was... an anomaly without cause and something that wasn't supposed to be here...[break][break]
"I'm nothing but a shadow, I don't know what she wants with me... I have nothing to offer her," she spoke, her eyes still cast away to some far away place... Yuina was a mistake, Yuina wasn't supposed to exist, and yet the woman regarded that name in particular... She wasn't going to deny to him what they both know he saw and heard just as she did... But she couldn't tell him any more than she already did... She didn't know what that woman wanted with an empty shell.

He regaled her of what Xerneas was, what it was to him, he was once an avatar, to a Pokemon that brought life. An immortal being at one point, now brought down to the same base level as everyone else, shackled and chained to a visage that represented the mortality he might have once scoffed at.[break][break]
"And you think that I can do anything about this Xerneas? Or your arrest here," she returned, his attempt at humanizing himself, at playing the victim... Was she supposed to have sympathy for him?[break]
"You, who made a threat on my life? And when you couldn't kill me like you promised, you made good on your threat anyway," she iterated, reminded him.[break][break]
"You might not have killed me, but you have taken my life from me," so rescinding his title as life bringer.

A ravenous hunger once flowed through his veins, threats of taking one's life came out of his mouth as if it were breathing. However it's obvious this time he regrets it. If he hadn't done it she might be more willing to help him even a little bit. [break][break]

"You're right. You can't do anything for him, no one can. I'll probably be burning in the border soon to come...if he's truly dead." he says as Bryan becomes dejected and kind of just falls on the floor, a loud thud on the floor and he becomes apathetic almost too suddenly. [break][break]

"Spent so long running from death only to inevitably be surrounded by it. So would you humor at least one request from me?" [break][break]

He had a feeling it was pointless. "I know you have no reason to...but could you occasionally just bring me news of the outside world? I don't really have much to offer in this deal...but.." he says as he realizes she'll most likely say no because of what he had already done with .
