She had been wondering how had been holding up lately. She had seen the girl a couple times during the warfront and was wondering how she was holding up. She remembers her first time going up against a literal force of nature and how shook it had left her afterwards, her own feelings against those titans welling up inside of her. [break][break]

She had brought along with her some boba tea as a little sweet treat, a green matcha and strawberry for yuina and a brown sugar and boba tea for Melody. She wasn't sure if the girl would like the one she got for her so that's why she picked two she liked herself so yuina could pick her own as well. As she heads inside the mueseum, the staff recognizing Melody as the champion led them to Yuina. [break][break]

But instead where yuina normally would be found, a gremlin losing her mind would be spotted instead.

Where Melody was brought to one of the many old wooden doors of the museum, and knocked... There was no immediate answer, no call to say that someone was on the other side... After a moment though the door did jostle, opening, to reveal two Unown blinking at her languidly. They both looked her over before assessing that this person was in fact not , and opened the door a bit more for her to step inside.[break][break]
Amidst open books, carefully photo copied pages, notes scrawled in haphazard mixtures of written word and the characters of a dead language, Yuina was in her office... But perhaps not entirely present. Pouring over a section in a book she held in her arms, glasses hanging by her ears and carefully working on a series of translations, she hadn't heard the knocking on the door. She wasn't paying attention. That's why she had Nigma and Eru around, to... Keep an eye on things while she was otherwise trying to keep her mind on anything except idle thoughts.[break][break]
"...forever lasting, each inscribed with eternal...," foreign word, but Yuina tsked as she drew a pencil out from behind her ear, moving to change her focus to a page that hung on the wall.[break]
"That's not right... The phenomes don't match...," she muttered, gone entirely until Moroe yipped to get her attention. The fox sat at the corner of her desk, yellow eyes glancing at Melody first before turning her attention back towards Yuina. It isn't until the sprite Celebi flits through the air, moving towards Yuina and hanging in the air in front of her that she blinks, following his blue eyes.[break][break]
"Melody? Wh-what are you doing here?"

Clutching the open book in one arm, pencil grasped in her other hand, Yuina stood up a little straighter and pushed her glasses up on the bridge of her nose. She blinked again... It felt like she hadn't for a minute... Glancing at what Melody held in her hands.[break][break]
"Oh, I uh-- I'm sorry, I just... wasn't expecting anyone," she returned, out of sorts clearly, and oh so tired... Melody came into the office all the same though, where Nigma and Eru drifted back into the space of the room, surveying again, and Moroe was eager to sniff at the sweet treats that Melody held. She certainly had the fox's attention.[break][break]
Yuina glanced around the room as Melody joked about what it was she could possibly be looking at, but with all of the seriousness of someone who was not entirely present to catch the joke or the sarcasm, Yuina looked worried that Melody too was passing judgement on them like everyone else.[break]
"Oh, no they're not here to kill us, they can't be... I hope you don't see the 'golden glowing' Pokémon that way...," she offered first, hesitant still to call them what they might actually be without any real groundings...[break][break]
"That is what I'm trying to figure out though, it's here, I know it is, but... I've been having more trouble translating than normal," she went on, but was stopped before she could turn back to the texts she was looking at...[break][break]
"Thank you... uhm... I'll try the strawberry one," Yuina breathed after a moment, she didn't want to stop, she wasn't going to stop, but it was very generous of Melody, so she did relinquish the books she held to take up one of the offered drinks.

"Golden pokemon?" she asks yuina as she was unfamiliar with what the woman had been talking about. [break][break]

"What golden pokemon?" she asks her as melody was unfamiliar with what she was talking about. She was joking but she wasn't really surprised that there was a new thing that seemed to be popping up in hoenn. She hands her the strawberry matcha and adds a contingency " Maybe you cant find it cause you haven't rested in a while, I can see it on your face." she says as she pulls back the drink momentarily. "So rest." [break][break]

Almost using an authoritative tone on the girl, it was one used out of concern for her well being. But she lightens up her expression for a bit "I never really think any pokemon is truly evil, at the end of the day they do what they do cause they feel a need to. Just like anyone else."

Before she could take up one of the drinks in hand, Melody held back a bit with a condition. Yuina blinked, eyes empty, glossy, staring not at Melody really but somewhere well past her. She didn't want to stop, she couldn't, if she stopped she was wasting time that wasn't hers... If she stopped she would just sink further into the uncertainties that came with waiting for that woman to appear again... But she was so tired.[break][break]
"Uhm... Okay, but only for a minute," Yuina returned, tentative, but she did move to sit down in the chair at her desk as Moroe sniffed avidly at the sweet drink she held now.[break][break]
"I'm glad you think so Melody... Everyone else is trying to attack the Noble Pokémon that are appearing," Yuina spoke then, flipping through a set of pages of one of the many books that was laid out on her desk.[break]
"And these," she pointed then to a tablet of sorts, dark as pitch and almost perfectly rectangular.[break][break]
"Something is happening Melody, the Pokémon are trying to tell us something, I just don't know what yet..."

"Well if you're trying to figure out what they're saying, have you just....talked to them?" she asks them "Cobalion's look alone is enough to make the naughtiest of pokemon behave themselves. Maybe that'll help with trying to communicate what they want? If a pokemon's in distress then I'll try my best to help them." she eyes the plate that Yuina had in her possession, was that the source of her worries. [break][break]

"Those things do send a chill down my spine though."

Yuina didn't know much in the way of the 'Mechanical Kingdom', but Melody was correct to say that what she was working on was in fact incredibly old... And already she had left her drink off to the side in favor of the books in front of her, drawing around one of the notepads she had been working on.[break][break]
"Noble Pokemon were as close to the gods as a Pokemon could become without having already been born a diety," Yuina offered first, flipping through the pages of her book.[break]
"...the man created stone in shape of Pokemon... the ten Pokemon that Sinnoh brought --- light upon," Yuina read carefully in foreign word, tentatively, switching between the book she read from and some of the notes she'd been working on.[break][break]
"Oh, well wait, the word initial consonants there... And the phoneme dropoff...," she pondered for a moment, monetarily glossing over the fact that Melody sat across from her still.[break]
"The people carved and gathered stones in shapes of Pokemon-- the ten Pokemon that Sinnoh shone its almighty light upon," Yuina read aloud, making another couple of scribbles and notes on her notepad... Now that was quite something...[break][break]
"The Pokemon aren't really here is the thing... At least not in an entirely physical sense... They have no infinity energy signatures, and every time I try to get close to one they either vanish or...," she didn't want to say got interrupted... but she hadn't yet been able to truly study one of these Pokemon uninhibited.[break]
"It just doesn't make sense though, not from the legend I've been trying to translate."

"The recent texts I've been trying to translate refer to 'The Almighty Sinnoh' or 'The Almighty Unknowable'. This 'Sinnoh' was later what the region was named for when it was officially settled, and the Hisui era was over," she explained, flipping across another couple of pages in her book.[break][break]
"I've been tracking them for days now, any instance I could gather information on... it doesn't sound like anyone has been able to get close enough to one to capture it... But I think that would be a really bad idea," Yuina remarked, the noble pokemon were not to be trifled with... And taking one away from its territory without its blessing? Melody moves side to side, if they were gonna speak on such complex topics she may as well have brought some cakes too. [break][break]

She's obviously trying to come up with a situation but it seems like melody didn't really have any way to help yuina. She wondered if she could command it to stay...if it was just a spirit or something maybe not. She couldn't rely on that ability, she also didn't like the idea of it but maybe she'd tell yuina anyways. [break][break]

"There is...ONE thing we could do..I'm..I'm meloetta's avatar now. I gained the ability to command others to obey me...if i could command the noble pokemon to stay.." she says but it was clear on her face that Melody was already against the idea without even saying anything.

Flipping through another couple of pages of the book in front of her, having again entirely forgone the sweet treat that Melody brought for her, Yuina's distant eyes drifted across foreign character and faded text. Celebi flitted along the edges of the office, blue eyes scanning over the pages that hung there, scrawled with Yuina's own writing, and plucked one in particular from the wall as he had been watching what Yuina was working on.[break][break]
The sprite drifted down towards her desk and laid out the page for her, another set of characters that she had been working out that seemed to work in conjuncture to the texts she was working on then.[break]
"Thank you," Yuina offered first to the sprite, shuffling the page around before she blinked up at Melody.[break][break]
She was familiar with the small Pokemon Meloetta, it had been fond of her too in one way or another in the handful of visits Yuina made with Melody. What she hadn't known was that the Pokemon was... A Pokemon like Celebi, in which it was a proponent of power to bestow on whom she might deem close to her...[break][break]
But what Melody spoke of, a 'power' granted to her, Yuina's fingertips flexed, scratching at nothing to the plain eye, but in her own tension the miniscule threads of space time that she could feel twinged at the idea of disturbing the Noble Pokemon in such a way.[break][break]
"Melody... please, don't even consider the thought," Yuina looked up to her, worried, concerned... Would Melody ever...? That kind of power, mixed with the malice that she saw so many so freely give themselves to on that ship...[break]
"These pokemon are sacred, we should not intervene in a way that could be perceived as a threat to the divine force that is looking for more successors to its power... They're protectors, they are here for a reason," Yuina couldn't express in any more words how much she felt like attacking and forcing the Noble Pokemon to a will that was not their own was a terrible idea.[break][break]
"I don't even know if anything in here is worth anything... Especially if I can't figure out why I can't read it."

She was right. Yuina is a kind heart that shone with a beautiful brilliance to it.[break][break]

"I'm glad you said that, I was more so just seeing how far you would be willing to go." she says as she sits up on the desk where there was an empty spot and swings her feet, being careful to not knock anything over. [break][break]

"Quite frankly, I hate that I was even given that ability. I never want to really use it if I can help it." she says as Melody looks up towards the roof. Melody tries to guide Yuina though in the right direction. [break][break]

"Maybe you aren't meant to yet, find out more about it" [break][break]

"If this...sinnoh is as powerful as you say it is...and you can't find out more about it yet. Maybe we're not meant to yet? Do you believe in like a "grand design" type of thing? Like certain things happening at certain times?" she asks as melody had more points to make but wanted to let the girl digest it first.

Where there were scant traces of relief that Yuina could cling to at present, knowing Doug was gone, noble Pokemon were roaming the region, distortions were appearing outside of their world in ultra space, and many more things beyond, there was a small bit of relief as Melody too spoke of her distaste over such a power. She... she believed Melody, she believed in a lot of things that Melody said and told her, and Yuina felt she could believe Melody on this too.[break][break]
"I would never look to exert control over the unknown, over the uncertainties... These Pokemon deserve the same understanding I try to give everything that... shouldn't be here," she agreed, glancing down again to the pages of her books. She almost smiled as Melody spoke of her work in a much more metaphorical sense than something more tangible or logical... It wasn't as if the words weren't appearing to her because it wasn't time to be revealed, there were translations that weren't matching up, and words that she couldn't understand in trying to read through things.[break][break]
Where Yuina almost went to redirect Melody to a more tangible line of thinking, she grew stiff at Melody's line of questioning. A grand design? Certain things happening at certain times? Happening for certain reasons...[break]
It was more than Yuina believed in a grand design, she was a part of a grand design that she never asked to play part in... She was a puppet, and her part in a grand design was being decided for her right as they both sat there in her office...[break][break]
"I'd like to think that a fate and a future haven't already been decided, but it seems silly to think so when the region has been overtaken by that prophecy," Yuina muttered, referring to the prophecy of the icelands, from Kyurem's emergence... But she knew it was all a lie, to think that a future could be anything someone wanted it to be. Her fate was already decided for her, just like the region was being guided on the path of that prophecy, and there was nothing anyone could do to change it...

Melody see the smiles on yuina's face that had quickly went away and tried to bring it back. [break][break]

"Now now Yuina, I like to think of it as a...script." she says standing up and raising a hand as if she was an actor on the stage. [break][break]

"Certain points are determined yes, but what of the rest of the show? Things can go wrong, sudden turns can happen, maybe even a stage malfunction or two." she says as she lowers her hand to have Yuina grab it. [break][break]

"That is what I believe makes our world special, things that should not have happen DID. Who gets to tell us what our fate is? Even if the script that's been given to us has been accurate so far, who's to say that there aren't corners of hoenn that are free from such things? Avatars shouldn't be here, mega evolution, sygnasuits, All of it!" [break][break]

She says as a joyful and excited gleam in her eyes becomes infectious, the starry night in her eyes pierce into the girl's very soul. "So let it happen! Make mistakes, fumble around, fight back!" she says [break][break]

"Write your own prophecy." [break][break]

but she looks her up and down for a moment, noting the exhaustion. "And maybe take a nap now and then."
