But Neon (mint frost) would be here, and that was (unfortunately) the man he was looking for. "I got held up by some Leaguer." It's as much of an explanation he will offer.[break][break]

The post is temporary, made available by tera tunnels and it'd disappear just as soon. The nature of this conflict made it that any posts this far out would be gone within a few hours. Neon had capped this one to four, judging the location to be quite advantageous and the risk low even with the supplies they'd pooled. It's not much, but it's enough to get people in and out on their feet instantly. All the while, he can cover ground and scout League routes as they winded and changed throughout the battlefield. [break][break]

Tempest Quinn is late, not that he expected any better form the bone head. "Just one Leaguer?" he asked. It's clear he'd not concerned, more so amused. The insult hung at the tip of his tongue. [break][break]

Even so, he holds it back preferring to give Tempest a look over. He didn't care, but their purpose was to provide aid. And he'd keep the Beast on his feet, least another Beast with less gray matter than Temp accuse him of trying to get the guy killed. "A few, only one wildcard has passed through. Possibly scouting the way ahead for more to cross. They're setting up for the ambush from here." he said. It's not visible form there exactly, they'd have to move. [break][break]

Zabaglione catches a scent in the air and moves in closer, out of nearby bushes where he'd been, very helpfully, keeping watch. He turns and abandons his post barreling towards Hati in sudden, erratic zig zags before stopping abruptly before her to sniff at her and touch noses in greeting.

"If you see one roach, you need to check for more." Is all the explanation he gives, though there is a hint of annoyance there. Just because Tempest was thorough didn't mean whatever mint frost was implying. If Neon thought that squishing one bug took care of the whole infestation he was piss poor at his job.[break][break]

But Tempest will let that simmer for the moment.[break][break]

Hati puffs up when Zabi darts from the bushes, only the scent on the wind calming her down. She yaps playfully and meets the Zigzagoon halfway with a few little leaps, giving the other a good sniff. Another chirp, pleased, before she brushes their noses together and tries to lick the Shadow on the forehead.

"You also need to be efficient. Spending too long on one roach is inefficient." Neon rolled his eyes but said nothing else. Easy enough to just crush the whole system. No need to check. But he's not going to tell Temp how to do his job. He'd let him fail all on his own if that's what it came to. But failing is different from dying. So he gives one more earnest check before offering a response. He doesn't notice Zabaglione's absence, busy going over his notes with the fellow beast. This time its all paper. [break][break]

"Sure, can you handle map coordinates or do I have to transport you there myself?" Neon asked, again poking at his lateness. He flips through ha waterproof notebook. "I've got a scout following a particularly efficient trio of rangers. Probably trying to set up a new base for comms, their packs seemed bulky, but I didn't press too close." he said gesturing at his helmet. The implication of a possible apertures that could capture and magnify images there. "Another, actual squad of officers were moving outwards that way, possibly strengthening this other supply line we're tracking." [break][break]

As beasts discussed tactics and battlefield updates the pokemon caught up, far happier than they should be this deep in the battlefield gloom. But for now, Zabaglione is happy to help. Happy to be present. He shakes his pelt, entire body swaying almost too quickly before slowing down as Hati got closer. He lets the Eevee do as she pleased, plopping down on the ground, eyes closed. Zabaglione continued sniffing, ducking his snouth near Hati's mouth a couple of times before letting her finish the greeting. He barks, controlled and small for stealth, but still yaps all the same.
