This position wasn't suitable either! It was so difficult to find the best, most perfect spot to set up Easter's telescope! This spot was too bumpy, this spot had too many trees in the way, where oh where was the perfect one? She looked at her map and decided the one place she hadn't gone to visit yet was this particular one. Off she went!

If all things went her way she'd be able to set up her telescope and search for miniors! And tonight was clear and dark, the area lit only by the moon.

"Ah, yes! This spot is perfection," she said with a raised fist.

But as the wind whistled in the trees, she could hear something closing in. Closer and closer the sound came. W-What was it a g-ghost? Was it really a ghost? Or a pokemon? Easter froze, tension building in her stomach, and once she couldn't hold it in anymore, she shouted! "A-Aahhh ghost!"

Spewpa was getting close to evolving. Clover could tell because she kept catching spinarak webs and soaring on them in the wind, floating as far as she could before finding a new ride. The two of them had been bug hunting in the woods. Clover wore a thin mask over their face - left over from the recent seaside clamperl festival - to prevent himself from getting a hundred webs in his eyes or from taking a string shot to the face from a surprised caterpie. [break][break]

Spewpa was getting away from Clover, though, as the wind picked up. "H-hold on!" Clover scurried after the bug, but it was carried downhill -[break][break]

The woman's scream caught them by surprise, and he held up his hands placatingly as he made it down to her. Spewpa landed on the ground. "No ghost, no ghost, I promise!" Clover removed their own white mask and gestured between themselves and Spewpa. "We were just walking through the woods. Didn't mean to scare ya." Clover's own Minior stumbled down the hill belatedly, rolling in its rock form.

Easter stopped punching and kicking the air. It was just a person with their Pokemon! Thank goodness! She had never been so relieved before to find someone. "O-Oh, my gosh, you scared me," she said with a laugh. "I thought you were an angry ghost come to take revenge on their killer or something! Glad to see I was totally wrong!"

She breathed out a sigh of relief and then noticed the stranger's Minior next to them. "Is that your Minior? Oh, wow! I came here to study them! Look! I even brought my telescope." She patted her bag that held her trusty telescope. "Have you seen any more Miniors around?"

Clover laughed at the situation as Easterbelle explained her anxieties. He supposed he could have fit the bill for ghost with just a few changes, so it was fair enough. Plus, Hoenn had lots of ghost sightings on the daily. There were ghost pokemon everywhere, and there were plenty of ghost stories to go with it. [break][break]

"No revenge here," they confirmed. "I'm Clover." He picked up the minior and came closer to her, inspecting the telescope. "I've got several of these guys, actually. Last month, they littered the safari zone like crazy. I nearly stepped on most of them, actually." [break][break]

The Hoyeon people were generous and very intent on giving. It was instinct and habit, then, that led Clover to offer the Minior up to her. "Really, I have a couple. You can totally hold on this fella if that's what you're looking for. Though, I wouldn't mind getting a turn on your telescope if you don't mind. I've never used one before."

"Nice to meet you Clover, I'm Easter!" And then Easter's jaw dropped. Clover was seriously going to give her a Minior? Just like that? How crazy lucky was she? This was definitely a cause for celebration!

"Yes! I'd love to have Minior! Please, go right ahead and use my telescope for as long as you'd like! It's the least I can do in exchange." Easter quickly unzipped her bag and set up her telescope, adjusting the position juuuust right. "Here you go! If you look through, you should be able to see Miniors flying across the sky! It's about that time."

"Easter," Clover repeated with wonder. What a cute name! He liked ones that reflected something larger than the - in his opinion - boring names other people bore like Alex or Zoe. "Nice to meet you. I don't normally see stargazers out in these parts." Not that Clover regularly patrolled these parts, either. [break][break]

"Yeah, well they were kind of sprouting like weeds last month... I promise, it's really nothing too crazy." They didn't want her to feel like they really owed him anything. Though, he would happily accept a glance through the telescope. He handed the Minior over to her and ducked into the scope to look, though he was completely unfamiliar with them. "How do you adjust-?" He pushed at the scope module and made things blurry. "Ah, maybe not like that..."

Last month Easter had been busy with research so that accounted why she missed so many Miniors. Darn it! She was cooped up in the lab too much it seemed. She marveled at the Minior Clover handed to her. "Amazing," she whispered, turning it over and inspecting every inch of it. Perhaps she'd be able to get some new data now that she had a Minior of her own now! What luck!

"Don't worry, if the scope get blurry you just need to adjust the focuser-like this," she twisted the focuser a bit until the viewfinder cleared up, showing specks of light in the distant sky falling, "See? You can adjust it however you'd like."

She stared up at the sky, her eyes twinkling like the stars. "I'd sure love to go up there one day. What about you?"

His mouth fell open in awe as Easter adjusted the scope. The stars came into view. Their sparkling was clear. If Clover reached out, they could almost touch the balls of light. Soaring minior graced the scope. Their falls were beautiful, though Clover didn't spend much time looking at the night sky. That needed to change. [break][break]

His amazement almost made him miss her question. It took a moment for his brain to process what she'd asked as he pulled away from the telescope to let her look. "I, um, I don't know about that." He swallowed. "I'm a land mammal, y'know?" He laughed nervously. He was careful not to meet her eyes if she was still looking up or around. "I like being on the ground. I like being connected to the earth. I don't do much flying, and uh... stuff's pretty high up there, y'know?"[break][break]

He finally looked her way. "That doesn't scare you?"

Easter peeked through the viewfinder, staring at all the twinkling lights in the night sky. She wanted to catch them with her bare hands and study them until she knew everything there was about Miniors, planets, and stars. What secrets did they hold? What legends were true and what legends were only stories? She'd find out one day!

"Nothing scares me more than staying still," she responded to Clover. "And even the planets move, you know? I gotta move everywhere to learn as much as I can! The other scientists tell me I'm too eager but I think that's my positive point. Oh, I forgot to mention-I work at Mossdeep Space Center. If you ever need anything I'm your gal-in return for this beloved Minior of course."

She held out a company card for Clover with her name and number though a bit of the card was burnt off. "Oops! Uh, that must've been when one of my experiments went awry. Ignore that!"
