"Should be somewhat of a regular customer by now, eh?" the researcher muses as he enters the Safari Zone for what he believes to be the fourth time. He somehow hadn't quite catch on all there is yet, so here he is again, going through it all once more - this time, however, he keeps the Metagross by his side after the shiny Rotom decided that this would be far too boring for it to do again, henceforth basically looking itself up in its Pokéball.[break]

"Stubborn little brats ... but at least I can count on the variable of all variables," Xuying hums - humoured, a little, though it is rather bothersome that his one Ghost type decided to nope out of here when there are a couple of Ghost types that appeared in the Safari Zone the last time and suchthing ... Well. Maybe it'll come around. Probably not. "Guess it's you and me and you and me."

Encountering another Galarian Corsola, he feels like he actually hasn't gotten a hold of the one he caught last time, so ... "Let's catch this one," he points at one of the Ghost Pokémon floating around. Immediately, the Metagross approaches one of them, using Meteor Mash to weaken it enough that Xuying can comfortably throw a Pokéball at it.[break]

"Nice ... let's continue!" he hums, already feeling like this trip might not be as much of a headache as some of the others have been that he had.

With one more individual to add to his pile of aspirations higher and simultaneously lower than anything that mankind could ever dream of, he watches as the terrain shifts only ever-so-slightly, fire appearing like little lost lights in the subtle shifts between dark and light. He wanders with caution, knowing from his last visit that there once was a Fennekin who pickpocketed his phone after putting on a show ... and he can only be glad that he found it after releasing the safari ball at home, his phone having sustained only so many scratches.[break]

He'd rather not do that again. Thus, Xuying moves quietly through this space, eyes sharp as the Metagross is on high alert by proximity, too - and hopefully, they made it further down the Safari Zone without any such incidents anymore ...

Holding his breath for the whole duration where he can even make out the faintest of lights from a Fennekin (alleged or real), he finally exhales deeply as they tread into another Pokémon's territory ... One that he caught before, but there is also some dissatisfaction with that one, never having been able to get as much of a hold of it, so ...[break]

"Alright, let's get another one!" Xuying hums, directing the shiny Metagross to one of the specimens floating around, "Meteor Mash on that one." That one seems fairly big, right? Though he doesn't know whether or not size would actually influence the estimates and impressions he'll be able to make, it's going to be much easier to hit him and catch when he isn't as small, considering the Metagross' size.

Watching as the Pumpkaboo disappears into the safari ball and it stays that way, he feels more motivated to go through the rest of the Safari Zone once more. There should only be two more that he hasn't even met by now, right? "Wonder what that will be ... I forgot to ask the warden again," he easily chitchats with the shiny Metagross, although he is sure that it can probably understand him a little, even without voicing such empty air that brings nothing new to the table. But - oh, well. As if life isn't full of its own mysteries and nonsenses, right? So he walks right past a Cubone, his eyes set elsewhere.

With two more safari balls remaining, Xuying and his Pokémon partner are making haste through the remaining Safari Zone, with the researcher on the lookout for whatever he might have missed during his previous visit to this place. Soon enough, stumbling over a Joltik, it only needs a distraction caused by Hyper Beam to enable him to throw a ball at the Pokémon.[break]

Holding the one safari ball with the Joltik in one hand, and the empty one in the other, he hums, "only one more to go ... I guess?"

The last one presents itself in the form of a Dreepy, floating right into their way and looking quite more combat-ready than the others. But it's nothing compared to the Torchic that nearly knocked him over, so the catch happens easily enough once he manages to get a hold of it after a ray of Confusion by the Metagross, throwing the last safari ball in his current possession to see about capturing the last one.[break]

"Phew ... that should be all, right? Time to get going," he pats the Metagross as they make their way back to the entrance, humming. Yeah ... nice work once more.
