it was week three of his poochyena-hunting endeavors. kyle hasn't given up yet on increasing the numbers of his poochy army. now that he has noah faber taking care of them when he's away, kyle has more freedom when it comes to dogs he gets to keep.

on the other hand, maybe he'll just take what he can get. maybe if his dreams come true and he'll have to sacrifice other pokemon to die so he can live, having a bunch of filler pokemon can help the pokemon he likes more to survive in this world longer.

he finally encounters a pokemon, though it wasn't a dog. instead, it was a ditto.

kyle quickly recalls the mightyena that was walking beside him before the wild pokemon could transform into it. the only thing it sees is kyle, forcing it to turn into a human.

maybe he can get it to turn into mateo someday when he's bored and punch it in the face or something.

before the ditto could do anything with its new form, kyle quickly swoops in with a fist and slugs it straight towards ditto!kyle's cheek. the impact leaves him on the ground, weakened by the sucker punch he throw. once the impostor kyle was on the ground, kyle proceeds to kick it to the ground to weaken it further.

once it wasn't moving, kyle simply drops a pokeball from a height, allowing it to fall onto the ditto for a capture.
