It was one thing to explore the region of Hoenn, but it was another one entirely to be actively walking even when the sun was starting to set. Normally she'd be setting up a camp or something for the night, maybe find a motel or some kind folks who'd let her stay the night if it was going to get too cold outside. But as it stood, she already had a room in the hotel back at Lilycove, but she wasn't going to miss this moment for the world. Astral the Gothorita was an incredibly new addition to her main party, but she enjoyed the gal all the same.

Even as it snowed around them, Ruby had found a large stone and sat down atop of it. She didn't quite understand what was going on, but Astral was simply moving around rocks with the power of their mind, organizing them into some strange pattern that she didn't recognize even remotely onto the ground. Of course, it was getting a bit harder to see with the light slowly fading from the world, but her pokemon seemed to be only growing happier and happier as the sun set over the horizon.

"So, you do this often?" She asked quietly, with a curious tone to her voice.

"Gothorita!" Was Astral's only response, which to be fair, didn't explain much. However, their nod was more than enough explanation for Ruby. She still had no idea what they were doing, but they certainly seemed focused, as if they had a plan of some kind, and she wasn't going to stop them.

Bryan was enjoying a nice rest at the current place he was crashing at. A random little motel that had some room for him and was relatively cheap and in his price range. As he was trying to sleep however his honedge came out of it's pokeball and started to poke and prod at him with it's sash. He tried to initially push him down so that he'd rest with him assuming that Honedge wanted some affection from him. However he'd be rudely corrected as his face was soon met with the blunt edge of the Pokemon's hilt. Bryan stumbled out of bed from the force of the Pokemon's attack. "HONEDGE WHAT THE HELL." he said as it was obviously upset with him for ignoring it's pleas. Honedge pointed his sash at the door trying to tell Byran he wanted to go outside, he stared the pokemon down for a few seconds... Honedge got excited thinking bryan understood, and he did. However Byran simply dismissed him saying "No way it's cold as hell out there go back to sleep." As soon as bryan got comfortable again in the bed he suddenly felt a cloth wrapping around his head.

That cloth then proceeded to yank him out of bed and take his bag with him. Honedge was NOT taking no for an answer, that much was clear. "FINE, FINE WE'LL GO DAMN IT, RELEASE ME YOU KITCHEN KNIFE." he screamed as he stood up and dressed himself for the cold. He got up and put on his winter clothes, stepping outside with honedge and locking the motel room behind him. He looked towards the city lights appreciating the beauty of Christmas in theory, he had horrid Christmas- Nope he's not thinking about home right now, nope nope nope.

He walked out onto route 121 following behind honedge who for some reason was extremely interested in this specific area. However Bryan was less so interested, he wandered around half asleep really. However this lovely stroll in route 121 was about to take a much more interesting turn.

It seemed like they had a visitor. A Chimecho seemed to float on in from wherever it was to watch Gothorita rearrange some of the stones. Ruby glanced upwards with a sudden surprised expression on her face. They were so pretty! She had never seen a Chimecho in real life, but she knew right away that she had to have them! She reached up with a soft expression on her face, almost nervous to scare away the beautiful psychic type.

Instead, they simply seemed to flutter over towards her side pressing up close. Ruby immediately smiled, gently hugging the beautiful Chimecho, who called out their own name in excitement. With a small grin, Ruby just held up an empty Pokeball and captured the beautiful chime Pokemon. She couldn't help but squeal softly in pure excitement from catching such a beautiful Pokemon.

Astral simply laughed to themselves a bit at Ruby's antics, still carefully moving the stones with accurate precision. Finally getting up from where she sat, Ruby was tucking away the Pokeball into her bag as she spoke. "Oh, let me help! Just uh, tell me what to do." Kneeling down, she was just about to pick up a stone. Suddenly, Astral's eyes widened and quickly ran over and pushed Ruby back.

She practically fell on her back, staring up in disbelief at her Pokemon. Before she could even ask what had gotten into her, the very stone she had attempted to pick up began to move. Ghostly limbs formed, a Galarian Corsola. Suddenly terrified to get touched, Ruby couldn't hold back a scream as she scrambled back on her feet.

Bryan had been looking up information on this route from his phone. He found some rather interesting information on this area. According to the internet, this area was once a part of the ocean but because of climate change a lot of pokemon who lived in the ocean died and became ghost types. Ah maybe that's why Honedge was restless then? he sensed some friends? Could ghost types even sense each other? He read on further on his phone until hone-edge turned in a different direction and a scream then ensued. honedge began to freak out and rush towards the area with Bryan stumbling after it.[break][break]

When he finally managed to catch up to honedge, apparently a girl and her pokemon were frightened by a galarian corsola. Of course they'd show up here, corsola who once inhabited here would obviously become the galarian version where they were originally found..Oh crap they're in trouble. Bryan acted quickly, thankfully Honedge was already out so he let out his command. "HONEDGE, SHADOW SNEAK LETS GO." as honedge vanished into the ground and a shadow rushed over to the pair. he appeared behind the girl's gothorita and slashed it's blade upwards with a line of shadow trailing behind. The corsola flew into the air as it landed on it's feet back down. Bryan was right behind honedge "you good?" he said not taking his eyes off the galarian Corsola. The corsola was not going to give him breathing room however and decided to try using ancient power on honedge and gothorita, bryan wasnt going to let that happen though.[break][break]

"Honedge finish it with iron head!" he said as honedge rushed off to try and defeat the ghost type. The ancient power attack hit honedge but did little to stop him since he resisted it and slammed into the corsola, knocking it out. Bryan quickly took out a pokeball and lobbed it at the creature. It shook three times and then stopped. "that was close..any longer and it might have cursed you...those things are dangerous." he said walking over and grabbing the pokeball off the floor.

Ruby could only sit back in shock as a sudden stranger who appeared with a Honedge came to her rescue. He was so quick to beat it up and capture it! As soon as it was finally away, Ruby couldn't help but let out a soft sigh of relief and slump against the ground. Ghosts... Terrifying. Just one touch and they could suck away your life! The mere thought encouraged a shudder that spread across her body as she looked up at her rescuer. "O-oh, I know. There's quite a few Corsola like that back home. I really don't like this area!" She laughed nervously, slowly standing up to her feet as Astral stood by her, looking at her trainer with a cautious expression.

"As you can see, we're uh... You know, I'm not sure what we're doing. It makes Astral here happy, so I suppose that matters for something, huh?" She gave him a soft smile, trying her best to calm down and relax. Unfortunately, a cry suddenly occurred in the background that almost immediately began to give her a headache. Shaking where she stood, she turned around... Only to see a rather weak-looking Solrock! What a poor boy! Out here in the dark when he was meant to thrive in the sun!

He seemed almost sympathetic to Ruby's plight, seemingly suffering from some kind of affliction himself. He didn't look healthy... Exhausted, rather. With a worried look on her face, she pulled out a Pokeball and quickly captured the Solrock. It looks like he needed a nurse to look after him. Before she could even think to tuck the Pokeball away, Ruby finally realized what made that cry from earlier, and why the Solrock was so weak. He was being tormented for who knows how long.

Floating back in the distance, a Mismagius was slowly gliding towards them. It's hat almost reminding the poor girl of an ugly mimicry of her Hatterene. Once again shaking where she stood as the Pokemon grew closer. "T-that's... I've seen some nice pokemon with a hat- T-that's not one of them. N-no no..."
