It wasn't long after they exited the Poochyena's territory that the duo came across another territorial creature. A large Bouffalant stood at a tall hill overlooking the vast plains of wheat Remy and Earl Grey had sauntered into. Its eyesight didn't appear to be very stellar at all, however, as it failed to take notice of them as they walked by. Remiel considered adding such a muscular and powerful beast to his team... but, then again, he'd seen more impressive specimens in magazines and recorded footage. Even if this one was just a juvenile, he wouldn't settle for less.

So, without an ounce of regret or doubt in his mind, the spectacled young lad carried on.

The plains of wheat led to a rocky pass that cut through a mountain blanketed with forest. At the entrance to this shadowy rocky pass, Remiel and Earl Grey stumbled across a Growlithe happily wrestling with a short log. Realizing that it didn't appear to notice them, Remiel decided to let it be and walk down the side of the mountain instead. There would surely be another pass somewhere. And, at any rate, there seemed to be something magical about the forest on this end of the Safari Zone.

Having readied itself for a Shadow Ball at any moment, Earl Grey immediately dropped his guard when he watched his master saunter off. They didn't always have to resort to violence, did they? It was glad it had such a reasonable master. It looked at the happy Growlithe playing for a moment, imagining what could have been, before turning back to Remiel and quickly following.

In the shadowy mountainside forest, Remy and Earl Grey eventually stumbled across another Tepig. This one, however, appeared much larger than the other. Furthermore, his color denoted another rare genetic alteration he'd seen before in other Pokémon. Instead of the traditional orange, this Tepig was primarily golden. Needless to say, it made it easy to spot. Which, in turn, made it easy to sneak up on. Unlike before, where Remiel had simply walked away, this time Earl Grey got the all clear to unleash his attack. With a quick gesture, the spectacled young lad commanded it. "Shadow Ball."

There was suddenly an ear twitch from the little piggy as the Sinistea began charging its attack. Just as the ball of shadow was fired, it attempted to conceal its position with a plume of smog that came out of its nostrils. Unfortunately for it, the attack had already been aimed and fired. It struck the Tepig with a reverberating echo, bursting the smog outward until it dissipated. By the time the golden pig managed to stagger back onto its feet, it was struck by a safari ball that Remiel had thrown.
