The blonde-haired Trainer had been working in the gardens when he heard something he really did not want to hear.

MONCH MONCH MONCH.

"Oh god damnit."

Following the sound, Josh would find that it had led him to a hungry Sunkern. Hot summer day, lots of sun, and berries. Of course the blasted thing would want his berries. Even if he couldn't help the long sigh that ensued when he saw it. Of course, this needed to be stopped. He couldn't exactly let the Sunkern eat his berries, after all. That would be bad. But it was so occupied. And where it was now, if he sicked a Pokemon on it, it would just risk destroying the berries. And there was also the possibility it'd rip off the berry and run if he tried to scare it off.

So he kept very quiet, and tossed a Pokeball at it from behind.

It had been an entire year.

How these berries were still here after a year, Josh didn't know. But he had been absurdly busy with trying to keep Hoenn safe from being destroyed by a meteor and other things to the point the Garden hadn't been a priority. Luckily, Florges had kept the garden safe and happy, and most importantly, healthy.

Josh just hoped he could actually remember to plant new ones and get back to a proper rhythm.

Or he'd work himself half to death and forget again.
