Now that Isra thinks about it, she's never really done much in the way of going down. Up into the air has always been a much easier feat, her family's dragons made it easy when she was younger, her own make it enjoyable now. She's always found that flying was freeing in a way, and frankly sky diving was a thrill that she indulged in every once in awhile too.

Somehow, the waters had always escaped her, until now.

Or rather, she simply hadn't done much more than the usual swimming and occasional questionable dive off a river bank but such opportunities were limited to those that dwelled in the night and were only met with the cold of water void of the sun. Even now in the early evening letting her hand drop from the side of the boat confirmed the chill in the waters. Isra found herself excited despite it as the boat made their way towards where the school of luvdisc were believed to be stranded in the waters.

"Have you ever done this before?" she asks of the other woman that was on the boat, who was tasked with the same endeavor as she. Isra had not spoken much until now, enjoying the mild rocking of the boat as it took to the water.

"Yes." Was Celeste's immediate reply. Diving and swimming on her own certainly took the energy out of her rather fast, but it was part of the chill that just kept her returning. Glad they were doing this later in the evening as compared to during the day, she might have actually melted within her wetsuit. Sitting on the edge of the boat, she began to get herself completely ready to dive in relative silence. However, it seemed her Dhelmise was eager to go. His massive form floating in the water by the boat, ready to act as their steady elevator down into the waters below should they choose.

Finally looking over at her partner, she let out a soft sigh as she tried to force herself to be a bit more sociable than she was used to being. There was no reason not to if they were going to be working together after all. "By that, I suppose I mean I have dived before. I have not, however, performed underwater rescues. They are not traditionally my style. However, far be it for me to ignore the needs of the ocean's creatures."

Finally suiting up fully, Celeste held the diving mask with radio built-in to her chest. It was certainly more expensive than anything she could have afforded, but theft was surprisingly easy when a 'rogue' ghost pokemon began haunting boats. A second mask just like it rested in the boat as well for her partner. Strapping herself in with the mask just above her head, Celeste spoke once more. "I suppose this is it. Once you're ready, I'll meet you down." Sliding on her mask, she leaned backwards and dropped down into the water.

Slowly swimming through the water, she wrapped her hands around her Dhelmise's anchor he held up near the surface, motioning for Isra to join her.

The other woman answers twice and is met with a reassuring grin, a gentle practiced pleasantry for the sake of social interaction. Isra cares little for what she means, small talk keeps her from getting lost in the waves on the waters surface. It keeps her mind from sinking down into its depths and questioning what she might see. Every little thing becomes a drifting thought and her mind loses its place in the reality in front of them.

"Can't say rescues are normally my thing either." she comments idly, as if simply looking for a false momentary connection that strangers often seek to find in each other. The appeal of it escapes her but she plays into it nonetheless. She's more along for the excitement of something she's never done before than anything else. A small patch of fun in her many dull nights.

Isra looks up in time to watch the other one go over the edge of the boat, they've both been waiting and by now they're were they needed to be. Without further time wasted Isra releases her pokemon, the Primarina being one of her most trusted water types. The creature dances through the waves around the boat, waiting for her to enter.

She does so in much the same fashion as the other woman, placing the mask that had been supplied over her face before sitting on the boats edge. There's only a moments hesitation while Isra checks over everything one more time, making certain everything is just the way it is supposed to be before they submerge themselves.

A porcelain hand joins others in clinging to the anchor of the pokemon, the primarina that has joined them circling them as they wait to delve deeper.

It seemed her partner wasn't much for conversation either. Not a bad thing either, considering the opposite would have been someone who never shut up, she infinitely preferred this. Isra seemed nice, judging from what brief commentary they've shared with each other.

When the grabbed onto the Dhelmise as well, Celeste simply motioned to the well-trained anchor Pokemon to lower them down into the ocean. Slowly but surely, they were lowered and then pulled down into the ocean below. It wasn't super bright beneath the water, with this rescue taking place later in the day, but they could still see just fine without breaking out the diving lights just yet.

A swarm of water-type Pokemon swam around the area, diving in and out of rocky crags in the ground. It was honestly a rather beautiful sight in her opinion, but they were regretfully not here to sightsee. Reaching to her belt, Celeste sent out Leviathan, the single Wishiwashi.

The swam in circles for a few seconds, enjoying the ocean's cool currents before Celeste's motions got his attention. Speaking through the radio on their diving masks, she kept a calm tone to her voice. "I don't see any luvdiscs, we should start searching."

With that in mind, the Wishiwashi's eyes suddenly shined rather brightly and not even a few seconds later a sudden school of Wishiwashi formed all at once, coming to his help and forming the massive school-form Wishiwashi that was so often called the Demon of the Alolan seas. As they quickly set off, searching through the many crags, Dhelmise simply remained steady, leading them down rather gracefully.

They descend, ever so slowly with their pokemon in tow and Isra is entranced by what she sees. The world bellow the water's surface this far out is a life all it's own and unlike any she has seen before. There is a sort of whimsical wonder to be found here that Isra wishes desperately to explore. She keeps that to herself however, she must or else she will find herself wondering too far from their mark.

Her attention is caught by the swarming pokemon and the other woman commanding it. She watches with interest it formed into something else entirely and grins beneath the mask at the sight of it. Truly the ocean had more wonders to explore than she had realized.

A gesture of her hand signals for the pokemon she had sent out to join the other in their endeavor, seeking out the school that had been caved in. The grace of the pokemon was more than she was used to seeing, truly the Primarina shined in the underwater domain. "I can't imagine they'll be hard to find, at least if they got us to the right spot."

She doesn't let go of the anchored pokemon taking them down, certain that if she did she would be as lost to the sea as the luvdisc were.

There was a part of her that wanted to be.

Diving was always such a wonderful experience. Granted, it wasn't often that she dived with a goal in mind. She was no Pokemon Ranger, nor did she ever have the faintest inclination to become one, but the occasional rescue of the ocean's life was definitely worthwhile.

Confident enough in her diving capability, she slowly let go of her Dhelmise and began to kick with her flippers to move through the water. Despite it still being bright enough to see, if she was searching for this lost school of Luvdisc they were probably somewhere she couldn't immediately see. She grabbed her diving light from around her waist, quickly activating it and beginning her search personally

The Dhelmise would begin to follow her under the water, using its eye to search around, and should Isra remain on their anchor, they kept a gentle, slow pace. They had been well trained to carry people, in a variety of different environments, so this was something they were quite used to.

Luckily, it didn't seem to take long to find the lost school. Leviathan quickly turned around, roaring out its cry to draw her attention. With a curious expression, Celeste swam her way over towards their side, gently patting the side of their school-form. "Well, what do we have here?" She spoke to no one in particular.

A quick look down would easily reveal that a huge pile of rocks were seeming to cover a cave entrance. There was only just enough room to truly see the Luvdisc school inside as she shined her flashlight. Such an incredibly tiny crack truly didn't leave any room for almost anything. After all, each one of them was practically 2 feet tall.

"Over here, I found them." She'd slowly motion towards her partner in this endeavor, Dhelmise moving towards them as well. "Looks like some rocks trapped them in this cave. With a few Pokemon, it wouldn't be impossible to break them free."

Isra watches the other woman as she lets go, there is something uncanny in the moment, where she is certain the sea ought to steal them away and never give them back. Perhaps it is a small notion from her childhood that rattles around in her brain. A memory jostled loose by the sea. Unlike her counterpart she finds herself unable to let go of the anchor pokemon, something in the depths of the ocean leaves her with an odd unease as much as it does overbearing wonder.

She takes hold of herself again as the pokemon returns, the melody of her own can be heard in the distance, soothing and sweet as if to calm the luvdisc should they hear it. It is only when her diving partner motions and speaks that she finally lets go of the anchor, seeking to swim out further ahead with the other young woman.

"Break it apart we shall then." she says, reaching for the only other pokeball on her person during the dive. With a tap it releases the off colored milotic. Though the pokemon usually spent its days beside her pond in her estate, an item of beauty as much as the flowers were, there would be no denying the strength behind it.

She gestures to her pokemon, the milotic wastes no time much like its trainer. Energy brims within its tail, coiling around it as the pokemon readies the dragon tail, a sweeping motion, seeking to only skim the rocks and rubble and shake them aside into the currents of the ocean. And the sound will be enough to bring the singing mermaid back from her short lived journey through the ocean.
