Alec had raised an eyebrow as soon as he had heard Ruby's command, and that was when the Hatterene had shot out an intense beam of flames at Veda. "ExtremeSpeed, now!" Alec had commanded his Dragonite, and she had quickly stopped her Ice Beam being grazed by the flames as she had blinked out of sight to once again appear right next to the Hatterene, giving it a smack down with it's burst of extreme agility. Good, it seems like Veda is taking this battle seriously. Ruby is quite a tough a opponent. Someone wouldn't be able to tell by first glance but once the battle starts, people get a good view of what they wouldn't expect. She is in every sense of the word 'a Strategist', and a very good one at that.

The words had echoed in the back of the young Gym Leader's mind. Honestly, he had thought he had heard her name from somewhere before, however he couldn't remember where though. Then again, that could have been anybody named, Ruby in all honesty. "Hope you and you're Pokemon can keep up with Veda's Speed! She's my fastest dragon." Alec had said to Ruby with smirk. He was beginning to take this battle a lot more seriously.

He needed to if he had planned to keep on par with her Powerful Psychic Type Pokemon. She still had one Pokemon that was not revealed to Alec yet, and then there was this Galar Pokemon that Alec had not encountered before. If he was going to beat it, then he had stay focused and be on top of his game in this battle.

Whisper got smacked with the Extreme Speed as the Dragonite sped through the air faster than she could possibly keep up with, and recoiled from the blow. Ruby immediately bit her lip, not enjoying the sight of Whisper getting hurt even if she knew that the witch Pokemon was strong enough to take the attack.

"Whisper!" Ruby cried out, her hand clutching against her necklace. "It's time to stop playing games! Let's hit this dragon with your full power! All the way!" Her necklace with the mega accessory began to glow as Whisper's whole body began to glow and change. Taller, stronger, her hair grew, splitting apart at the sides to reveal the smaller form within. Her eyes were staring straight at Veda, her three tentacles swirling around her as her psychic presence seemed incredibly intense.

Ruby's eyes practically shone with pride for her Pokemon, quickly reaching out to command. "Now! Let's see that speed benefit you now! Dazzle them Whisper!"

Whisper roared out as a bright light suddenly shone out across the entire arena, using Dazzling Gleam. Hopefully, the extremely bright light would not only be hard to dodge but hopefully, it could blind them somewhat and making moving with such speed hard.
