The flashes of fire nearby certainly caught Remiel's attention. Even after he'd sauntered over to pick up the luxury ball with his newly capture Banette, he turned to offer the scene another look. It was only then that he took notice of a Slowpoke ambling out from the bushes.

Sekhmet was quick to rush to his side, a gust of hot wind signaling her approach until she hovered several feet above his shoulder. The only act that kept her from blasting the Slowpoke away was her master's raised hand, signaling her to pause as he stepped forward. The Slowpoke then slowly staggered up... before sauntering away.

On the other hand, he was faced with… a pink Pokémon. Internally hiding his disgust at the sight of the Slowpoke, he wondered if he could have a good use for it. Sighing, he then looked over where his Salazzle now stood, eagerly sniffing the air.

“No, Luxu. Not that. You’d end up getting extinguished before you could even blink,” he added a few moments later. He idly wondered if there the Slowpoke was sun tanning itself all the way out here. These were such weird times and places for Pokémon to be just… lazing around, apparently.

And he could already tell that the Slowpoke wasn’t on his list of Pokémon that fell in the ‘big’ and ‘strong’ categories. Oh, how wrong he would be in the future—but of course he didn’t know that yet, did he?

An expertly executed Shadow Sneak, in the hands of the right pokémon, could make one appear as nothing more than a mirage. And that was exactly how one Mimikyu approached them, staging a rather haunting appearance that was having a considerably surprising effect on Sekhmet. Startled and unsure of where to look, she fluttered above Remiel and turned in every direction.

With a sigh, however, Remiel tucked his hat downward so that it was firmly on before uttering his next command. "Hurricane." And, though she firmly believed they were facing some sort of immortal spirit, the Volcarona complied. The ripping wind that expanded out from them in a circle ended up blowing the Mimikyu out of the tall grass and breaking its disguise. As it stumbled back up, it was met with a thrown luxury ball.

He didn’t know what it was asides from the fact that it had a heart-shaped snout. And it definitely didn’t fit the bill of what he was looking for.

“Go on, go away now,” he said in the Swoobat’s direction, attempting to shoo it away as he waved his hand at its face. “Go on, get outta here!” he added a few moments later before releasing a very slight sigh.

“Honestly,” he remarked as he turned back to Remiel. “It’s hard enough looking for a Beldum around here—look for the one thing you want, everything else but the thing you want shows up. Why the hell’s that? Butterfly effect, you think?” he posed as he let out another sigh before scanning the area.

Hopefully—he’d be able to find the one he was looking for.

Eventually.

Sheer stubbornness would win out, right?

Remiel mused on Arashi's complaint for a moment; watched as Sekhmet fluttered in the sky and spotted an Indeedee gazing up at him in the distance. "Hmm... I believe it has to do with your brain's anticipatory ability. Longing for a Beldum so strongly creates a disconnect between what you expect and what is occurring in reality. In the same way staring at a clock makes it seem as though time is passing by slower."[break][break]

With nefarious intent, the Indeedee got his Volcarona to fly in closer (FOLLOW ME), which prompted Remiel to begin to draw closer himself. Just before the butler-esque pokémon could strike, however, Sekhmet flapped her wings and unleashed a SILVER WIND that knocked the Indeedee backwards and unconscious. When the dust settled, Remiel produced an empty luxury ball and tossed it.[break]
