"ok what do you think? i'm pokkenger full pockets armor!" the superhero twirled around with the straps full of pokeballs wrapped around his shoulders and across his chest to hold more than the usual team of six. skywalker the lucario who was busy finishing up packing the supplies into a backpack for the trip looked him up and down and gave a "so-so" motion with his paw at the sight of it. it just didn't work with the costume, in fact it was a bit much, that's what he would say if he could communicate with his trainer. "too much huh? yeah ok but stick them into the bag. there should be plenty of space in the back pocket."

as the rest of the team assembled for this trip was put away into the bag kazimir checked the empty pc that he managed to jerry rig into his little base, he had let the rest of his pokemon out of storage to roam around the caves and told them to just...well to live.

he was up for helping someone trapped in another dimension but he wasn't brainless enough to ignore the fact that he may never get out of that dimension, for one reason or another, and he told the rest of his pokemon that it was up to them to hold up the fight for good if the worst was to happen. a lot of them tried to dog pile him to not let him leave, but he did his best to convince him that he was gonna be fine. he had a bigger team with him than during the trouble in slateport, that he was gonna go with a guy who could wrestle with those aliens with his bare hands, and whatever was inside him was sure to protect him. "i'm gonna be fine."

the words were meant for himself as he looked at his hands and balled them into fists to reassure himself that this was gonna be an awesome trip.

once skywalker told him that everything was packed and ready the lucario slipped the bag onto its back and turned towards the entrance where the ever faithful retainers of pokkenger, lil busters, came pouring into the cave chirping away. "he's here? that's great, now we can-wait what." he noticed that the falinks were still doing a charades act, and the act of one of them roaring while the others ran around screaming made kaz's face turn pale, not that it could be seen under the helmet. "aw man i forgot about-"

a loud rumble and the earth slightly shaking signaled the trio to rush out of the cave and into the open area where the lucario started to sense people. from behind a wall out came a large tyrantrum that roared and thrashed around the cave, following behind him was a dracozolt that was having too much fun mimicking the t-rex's movements. "tyramigo stop! don't step on anyone! hey tyramigo!" kazimir cried out as he, skywalker, and the lil busters climbed down and followed the tyrantrum to try and calm it down before it squished anyone else who would show up.

It was time to begin the mission. Honestly, it should've started sooner, but Balder didn't want to rush it. Solgaleo needed to be at the top of his form, since he was their mean of transport in this adventure. But luckily, thanks to the lion resting, the Alolan Avenger was able to gather a crew to assist him... Against his own will for some cases.[break][break]

The first one, who had offered himself soon after the events of Slateport, was Pokkenger. Balder knew nothing of the man (Or Woman?), except that he fought alongside his pokemon and had a strong sense of justice. Also that he was seemingly the only one who openly sided with him during the aftermath of the attack. His second ally? Orion. A councilman. And one that didn't seem to like inactivity. Seemed like he had a strong sense of duty too, but maybe that's a bit dangerous?[break][break]

The other individual that Balder had heard of was a certain Isra. Except that she had a link with Fernando, Balder knew literally nothing of her, not even her battle prowess. Overall? This weird team didn't seem like they were going to make it. There was no bond between any of them, and only one or two of them may be good fighters, but would it be enough to survive the unknown world they were about to dip in?[break][break]

As Balder arrived to the meeting point he had settled with the others, Solgaleo slowly trailing behind him, the man began to place the 2 pokeball belts he had across his chest, to make sure everything was correctly secured. Couldn't exactly afford to lose any pokeballs before the big battle.[break][break]

Suddenly, tremors shook the ground, making the Alolan man and his solar lion stop. Balder strapped the 2 additional pouches he had brought to his hips and got into a battle position. Soon after, the wall exploded, allowing a Tyrantrum to rampage around, followed by a... mixed creation? Whatever that was, it seemed to enjoy the trouble that the Tyrantrum was causing. But not Balder.[break][break]

"Leo, keep that weird one in check. I'll handle the Tyrantrum." As the Lion nodded, the man rushed forward, heading straight to Tyrantrum. Reaching close enough, the man leaped towards the Tyrantrum's throat and wrapped his arm around it as best as he could. Using the momentum and the added weight from his body that had steel properties, the man brought the dinosaur onto the ground, trying to keep him still as Solgaleo growled menacingly at the Dracozolt. "POKKENGER! IF THOSE ARE YOUR POKEMONS, HURRY AND GET THEM IN THEIR POKEBALLS BEFORE THEY HURT SOMEONE!"[break][break]

"I suppose you're almost ready aren't you?"

"Nearly." she places another precautionary item in her messenger bag, what she wants kept on her most during... whatever they were going to call this. "You seem quite relaxed about this." the old voice is a familiar comfort before she leaves, one she welcomes as she turns towards the doorway where her house keep stands. Of course there is always more to it than that, and that is why they are talking.

"Why wouldn't I be?" they share a knowing grin as the older woman moves forward, taking the brooch she has been holding and pinning it onto the front of Isra's coat. "If there is truth to be found it will be there, in a place in between places. Regardless of why they send me it can only hold possibilities that I wouldn't dare let pass."

The older woman nods, hand settling on the brooch for a moment with a solemn smile. She knows better than anyone that there will be no deterring her and perhaps that is for the better. "I will watch the estate while you are gone then, as always."

"Thank you Amelia- Amsonia, thank you for all that you are."

They are off to a phenomenal start.

The woman was already skeptical, she's seen the reports of the Slateport incident, what could be found by public records or supplied to her for this endeavor had done little to quiet her worries about the group she had somehow been roped into joining for this... adventure.

The blasted dinosaur storming through the area upon her arrival and immediately being wrestled to the ground by the man she assumes to be the sun avatar is just bloody ideal isn't it? If it weren't for the potential pay off she would probably listen to the little inkling in her head telling her to turn around and let them fend for themselves.

The scene is in sight and Isra makes no move to come any closer to the area they are supposed to meet at, choosing to steer clear of the rampaging pokemon. She eyes the entire scenario critically, judging every bit of it as an omen of what's to come ahead of them as they inevitably enter the portal into one of many spaces in between.

"So, is it too late to walk away or am I stuck with whatever this is now?"
[break][break]
The woman tries not to think too hard about what was before her, and inevitably waiting ahead. Given the chance she will simply stray further away from the scene, allowing them ample room to deal with the pokemon without having to get involved.

Orion's never felt so scared in his life. He flips off the lights in his Fortree home, trying not to think about how it could be the last time he sees the place. He sends a text to the daycare where he'd left the remainder of his Pokemon, leaving instructions to forfeit them to the Rangers, should he not return. His bags are packed like he's going on a small vacation: rations for himself and his Pokemon, medical supplies, and a good third of the Pokemon he owned nested snugly in their balls.[break][break]

Only his Absol and Alakazam stand beside him, and he kneels down to wrap his arms around the former's furred neck. "Sorry for dragging you into this, old friend."[break][break]

He nods to Circe, and they are suddenly somewhere else.[break][break]

From Fallarbor, they walk to Meteor Falls on foot and in silence. He arrives second-to-last of their rag-tag band, dark eyes flickering between the other figures. There's something familiar about the woman he can't quite place. Has he seen her around the office, before? Pokkenger he knows only from wild tales and what little he'd seen during the events of the new year.[break][break]

He nods to Balder and Pokkenger, but it's Isra who he approaches. She stands apart from the rest of the group, and he finds connection in a fellow outlier. He holds out a gloved hand; he's dressed in his ranger gear, meant to withstand harsh weather conditions, because who knew what they would face on the other side?[break][break]

"I don't think we've met. Orion. I'm — with the Rangers."[break][break]

The Absol sits at his side, mega-stone glinting half-buried in the fur of its neck. Orion's hand absently scratches at the base of its horn.

"ack sorry sorry sorry sorry. tyramigo c'mon get in here!" seeing the man just take down his giant dinosaur like that was...something else. like damn that guy was both so awesome and so scary in pokkenger's eyes that it...it gave him conflicted feelings. as more people showed up those feelings just increased as he probably realized he was...kind of the most immature one of the bunch. returning both of his dinosaurs and his falinks to their balls he cleared his throat as thoughts raced in his head. he had to show that he was a brave hero and not some nut job in a costume, and assuming command of the party seemed like a good idea even if he wasn't really the one who gathered them all here. speaking of which he wasn't even familiar with any of them, well a few seemed like familiar faces that he'd seen on the news about slateport but that was just about it.

"erm. welcome everyone to today's trip to the unknown! as you know we're here to get hoenn's most precious darling mateo out of whatever hell hole he ended up cause some aliens decided to nab him. to my right is team captain miseur Balder Schwartz who some of you are probably familiar with. and i'm pokkenger! your tour guide and safety captain on this trip!" ok so far so good. he felt like he was an actual tour guide right now!

"now please make sure all your belongings are safely stored on your person before we depart, who knows what kind of exciting and heart racing thrills we'll see on the other side. uh please make sure you have proper medication if your prone to...alternate universe sickness? yeah that. and without further adieuuuuuuu." he nearly frolicked over to the mighty sun lion and gave it a nice scratch under his chin as he cooed, "leo-kun, can ya open up a portal for us please?"

IN A RACE AGAINST TIME, Team Solar enters their ULTRA WORMHOLE on their daring quest. The moment they enter the distortion created by Balder Schwartz's Solgaleo, the world takes a turn for the worst and they're ejected into another time stream. Space tears into a cascade of stars and the vertigo becomes a blur of bright lights as they hurtle toward another dimension.[break][break]

On their mount, they are spared the disorienting drift of ultra space; however, the sensory overload is intense. Their path divides into three separate exits.[break][break]

The first opening greets them with a blast of arid air. It's terribly hot. Peering into this world reveals a dramatic desertscape, adorned with crystalline mysteries and rocky obelisks. The terrain is harsh. Unforgiving. Bathed in the sweltering heat of some alien sun, the landscape breathes dust and sand as if it were flowing water. Occasionally, they capture glimpses of beautiful turquoise minerals.[break][break][break]

The second opening reveals a glimpse into what appears to be buildings. Manmade structures, perhaps? Harsh lights, similar to the luminescence of the tunnel they're in, dominate the cityscape. One grand tower stands above the rest: a foreboding presence. From the tower, beams of light flash around like a prison's searchlight. There is no natural light here.[break][break][break]

The third and final opening reveals what appears to be a rainforest. Heavy rains batter the world, striking against all manner of alien foliage. Here, the trees have grown into sturdy ziggurats, with branches reaching far and wide. The ground is thick with sloppy mud, and the vegetation sprawls out across the forest floor like a vast, tangled web. Occasionally, the world seems to quake.[break][break][break][break]

Remember, the objective of this adventure is to the LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE while hunting for the lost Elite Four member, mateo martinez, and the secrets of Ultra Space.[break][break][break]

Great rewards lurk around every corner, but can come with a costly price that may end your adventure earlier than it should. Plan your route, make wise choices and remorseless risks, and enjoy.[break][break]

Your Ultra Space Adventure will be DEATH ENABLED. In other words, your Pokemon may perish and your characters will encounter terribly dangerous situations. After all, this is uncharted territory.[break][break][break][break]

"Isra, if you would." she does not shake his hand but the nod of acknowledgement should be enough to suffice to social cues needed to be polite. He's vaguely familiar but her attention is quickly returned to the scene before them and her skepticism about the group she has been burdened with the company of can only ascend further.

They don't get long to chat before the last of their little group makes their way and the excursion begins, she has little interest in their arrangement for entry but plays along quietly for now. Her interests lies on the other side of what to come and to that extent she will tolerate the situation as much as she has to.

Isra does not watch the blinding light, the passing blur of a world they cannot truly know or name. Her eyes close, lungs fill with a breath she holds tight and she lets it pass unseen. A voice nags her in the back of her head about the light, the sun, how she can't be sure any of this won't cause a reaction in her skin. She throws it aside at the sound of a voice, the first of them speaking.

She opens her eyes, scanning the options that lay before them as she releases the breath she has been holding. At least no one seems to be losing control yet.

"I would prefer the rain. We need only be ready for the down pour." her comment is steady and calm, if the situation has her unsettled she does not show it.

"I don't know," Orion answers truthfully, in response to Pierce's question about protection. "Never been where we're going." He watches the armor-clad man approach Solgaleo, and says of him, "He was really brave during the New Years incident, though."[break][break]

He had seen Pokkenger leap toward the Ultra Beast with swords in hand to rescue Olivia. He didn't know why the man dressed like a superhero from a kid's movie, but he was glad to be on his same side.[break][break]

As they leap through the portal, Orion closes his eyes against the blur of distorted imagery. It's too overwhelming and it makes him feel nauseous, though he does force himself to open them again when Pierce speaks. He thinks about replying, but forfeits in favour of letting his stomach settle. There are three paths ahead, and the others voice their opinions.[break][break]

"Just as long as it isn't acid rain, like during Slateport." He grimaces at the unpleasant memory. "I'm a ranger, I'd feel most comfortable in a natural environment, but even the city sounds better than the desert. I don't fancy the idea of going through any desert, let alone that one."[break][break]

After he says it, he wonders if a desert here would even resemble those on earth. His skin prickles at the thought of the unknown, but he swallows down his anxieties and does not voice them.

the brilliant hole in the universe opens up and the gang of unlikely heroes are drawn inside as the solgaleo leads the pack with everyone practically floating beside it as the sea of stars and lights passes by them. one person however wasn't quite so quick to enjoy the view as pokkenger was almost curled up into a ball as the whole world around him was spinning. "don't throw up don't throw up." he whispered to himself as he kept his mouth shut to keep anything from spilling out and into his helmet. his lucario is able to stop him from spinning indefinitely and keep him somewhat upright so that the fluids go down into the pit of his insides.

as the masked hero takes a second to not let nausea be the first thing he encounters he's able to catch a glimpse of three more portals that greet them, each one offering a scene to where it may lead. both places full of nature's wonder are pretty bad to the superhero's costume and he doesn't like the idea of expiring due to heat stroke or finding some kind of malevolent force in a forest that'll probably pick them off one by one. he's seen enough horror flicks to know that trick. "i think the city's a safe bet. i mean when do people actually meet alien civilizations? plus..." he stifles a burp, "i might need a little pokkenger's room in a bit."

It didn't take long for the people to gather. Orion, which he had met previously, showed up as he said he would. As well as a woman and another guy. Who were they? Balder did not know, nor cared at this point. As long as they could go in there and come back alive, with Mateo in tow, that's all that mattered.[break][break]

He couldn't deny the fact that he was sad he never got a hold of Stormy Silph and kyle lopez before this trip. Their strengths would've been a good addition to this team, but he'll have to make do now. As Pokkenger finally recalled his pokemons, Balder stood up and nodded back at Orion, before looking around and ignoring the girl's statement.[break][break]

Pokkenger decided to take the scene, acting as a tour guide. The avatar of the sun allowed him to do his spectacle, before approaching him and leaning close to his ear. "We're not here for a show, Pokkenger. We're here for a rescue, and to seek answers. Keep that in mind, would you?" Balder took out the Silph Scope given to him by FERNANDO SILPH and proceeded in equipping it, making sure it could record everything that the man would see. Then, the man nodded at the lion, who proceeded to open the portal and allow everyone to enter.[break]

As they entered the portal and were faced with choices, everyone began to state their opinions. Balder remained quiet for a while, staring down the 3 holes that were opened before them. A city, a desert and a rain forest... The choice seemed easy, but what should they expect in this other dimension? Nothing pointed with any normality.[break][break]

Clearing his throat, the "Captain" decided to speak. "The acid rain we experienced in Slateport was caused by one of those creatures, Orion. So it's highly possible that this tunnel leads to a safe natural location, but it's the mud and swamp that I'd be more cautious of. Who knows what could be hiding in there."[break][break]

"Desert is definitely a no go. I don't know how much I can handle that sun, even though I'm the avatar of the Sun, but you guys might melt underneath. And for all we know, there's nothing there that awaits us. And since we're just starting our adventure, and get to meet with a trace of civilization right away, I think we'd be better off going to meet them. We lack information about our foes and meeting them could reveal possible traces of Mateo."[break][break]

The man then glanced at Orion and Isra. "And who knows, maybe they'll be able to offer advice on which portal to take, or equipment to fight back whatever could be in that forest. Or to not get wet at least, cause we'd have to face sickness instead."

THE PARTY MAKES THEIR CHOICE. as they enter the opening, they do not immediately teleport into whatever this new land is. they're taken into another tunnel, the bright lights of ultraspace flashing all around them. it's like a kaleidoscopic grid with webbing, curled into a cylinder of crackling energy. as they travel forth, they hear disjointed voices. odd languages- or sounds just ripped apart by the speed of their travel. explosions. screaming. silence.[break][break][break]

and once they alight upon the smooth, black pavement of a city, they find more silence. the buildings are prismatic in shape and outlined in fluorescent white lines. street lamps and lights embedded in the road surface illuminate black light; however, the beams of light that flicker from the grand spire in the center of the city are different. they seem to search around. big spotlights seeking actors.[break][break][break]

here, the buildings create many alleyways. they have doors, yes- but curiously, there are no people. everything is oddly quiet. the party seems to be absolutely alone.[break][break][break]

curiously enough, x-shaped barricades, glowing in purple and black light at their sharp tips, line across several streets. they meet most of you at the chest, being tall, obtrusive structures.[break][break][break]

Kazimir Wynter and Orion Lykos sense movement from the corner of their eye. something small, but airborne, darts in between the buildings to their right. they can't shake the feeling that they are being watched. furthermore, one of the grand spire's lights is headed your way, drenching the road ahead with its exposing vibrance.[break][break][break]
