The first Pokémon he came across was rather interesting and in hindsight he should have expected something like this. With the recent introduction of Galarian Pokémon into Hoenn would make for all the reason to find Galarian Pokémon inside of the Safari.

That is why when Samuel encountered a Falinks he paused for a moment before smiling a bit to himself.

In his roster he already possessed a Falinks and did not want nor need another one in his command. So he’d pass this one up and go deeper into the Safari.

Walking alone eventually became boring for Sam so he summoned his Pyroar from his capsule. Out of all his Pokémon Samuel’s Pyroar was the best companion for a simple walk or relaxation. The Pokémon’s calm and relaxed composure along with having been one of the man’s longest partners made it quite easy for the two of them to get along.

Another positive of having the lion around was his ability to detect danger before his human counterpart. There was a Charmander stomping about, one that began spewing flames from its mouth in a rather aimless and dangerous fashion due to the appearance of the man and his Pyroar.

”I suppose we walked into its territory.” Samuel laughed, watching this pompous little one strut about was just too cute. The Charmander then made its way to Regulus, staring up at the lion defiantly. The Pyroar at first ignored the smaller Pokémon until it began to spew flames at him.

Samuel raised a brow at the lizard, it had quite the courage to do something so stupid. Regulus stared down at the Charmander before releasing a Hyper Voice, sending the small fire type flying. Samuel shook his head and walked over to the Charmander, safari ball in hand.

”Let’s see if we can harness bravado for some good.”

The Safari continued to be full of surprises! A Honedge was the next Pokémon Samuel came across and its appearance was quite welcome. There was no need to thinking over the pros and cons of having such a Pokémon around, Samuel wanted it so he was going to have it.

And with a simple snap of his fingers Regulus attacked the Sword Pokémon, unleashing a stream of flames from his maw at the steel/ghost type.

The wild Pokémon managed to endure the attack which was quite impressive, or Samuel’s Pyroar was being lazy. Either way the ghost now sprung into action, attacking back.

Before it could do any damage and meet its mark, Regulus responded with another Flamethrower and this time the ghost wasn’t getting back up. He used one of the safari balls given to him in order to attempt and capture the Honedge.

Another successful capture, the safari zone was offering some great Pokémon today. With two down Samuel was eager to see what next he’d add to his collection of Pokémon.

The next one he encountered while not a total disappointment was still one that he did not care much for.

Another Galarian Pokémon, one that’s look was quite familiar to him. The difference between this Pokémon and its Kantoian counterpart was quite obvious outside of one evolving and the other not. But alas Samuel would be skipping this one and see what else there was to find here.

Well he’ll be damned they had actual prehistoric Pokémon in this safari. What sort of hoops did they have to go through to set something like this up?

It had to be quite a feat to get authorization from the league to pull something like this, though in years it has become more common to see such a rare sighting like this.

But unfortunately Samuel was not in the market to add such a Pokémon to his collection and would have to pass up on this little one for now but if he didn’t find anything else interesting then he’d have to reconsider.

”Now what happened to you?”

Samuel was surprised to come across a Golett and even more so to see it in such a sorry state. It looked as it had seen its own fair share of battles with the currently ragged state it was in.

Samuel crotched down and inspected the damaged tiny golem. The light that usually beamed from these Pokémon was dim, clearly a result of its damaged state. Samuel did his best to take care of the Golett.

He cleaned it up and fixed any damage he could given the circumstances. And while it wasn’t a great job, not even a good one, it was one that would have to do for now.

With that done the Golett seemed to come to life, looking around confused as to where it was. Samuel explained what had happened. He’d leave the Pokémon to its own devices but it appeared that the Golett wanted to come with him.

”Oh? Well I can’t guarantee that you won’t end up getting hurt. You okay with that?” The golem didn’t seem disturbed by the man’s warning so he tapped the last of his Safari balls on the Golett’s head causing the empty capsule to hope and a beam of light to envelop the Golett.
