Anything he can craft is either gated by precious material that going to cost him more time than it's worth or simply found in the wild from loot drops. More often than not, he can find what he needs one the body of someone else. All he has to do is drop their health to zero and pray that the right item drops.

However, today there's a mini quest that involves unlocking further paths in the crafting menu. Without any prior knowledge, due to the new nature of the quest, there's no way to tell if the new recipes are worth it. So, giving the game the benefit of the doubt, he takes the quest and starts looking for monster to slay on behalf of the foraging guild.

Time to grind.

Monster slaying was much more up Gemma's alley, lately. She was really enjoying the crafting system - a clearly thought-out and intricate menu of things she could make based on what she had looted or gathered. It was sort of exciting... Gave the game a little more purpose, at least.

Not that she didn't need more reason to sink her off-hours into it.

When she spots a familiar player, she grins and makes her way over. The cloak she had bought had been upgraded, fur around the hook and cinched in ways that showed off the red trails over her chest and stomach, while still giving her an air of comfort.

Fernando waves to her with pistol in hand. Several monsters spawn and surface from a pond and Fernando aims his muzzle at them. "Something like that. You too?" He sends her a party invite anyway, prior to her response. Might as well speed up the process. He's only here for the quest and the loot, not necessarily the experience.

He fires a pair of ZAP CANNONS to PARALYZE the both of them. That should render it easy pickings for a burst mage. He loads up a CHATTER shot as well and prepares to leave them dazed and CONFUSED. Out of harms way and set to be CC locked, should be a piece of cake for a mage like Gemma to clean up.

Accepting the party request, Gemma waits for the man to dispatch the two little beasties, before queuing up an ICE PUNCH to hit them. She watches as the little monsters turn to ice after the intital punch, and then with a swift kick of her clawed foot, they shatter into pieces, landing on the ground in little pink icicle chunks.

[attr="class","spiral"] Fernando's personality leaks into his gameplay. Anyone who battles him frequently can spot the parallels. He sticks the to the same routine, no matter how basic, until it's no longer effective. Adaptability comes with failure but until then, there's no reason to change. So he loads up another ZAP CANNON and takes his time paralyzing both mobs.

"Craft anything nice yet?" He swaps to CHATTER ammo and fires. "It's alright. PVP is a lot more fun than I thought but the amount of people out there seems to have died down."

A couple of plants? No worries. Gemma's foot raises, spiraling fire towards the little game sprites. They burst into an inferno, along with Rackham's attacks, and she smiles, before putting her leg down. Her avatar adjusts her leg wear, before Gemma continues along to the next waypoint.

"Oh, not really. Just some healing items, mostly. They come in handy. Especially when people are begging on their deathbed for a heal during a raid." She snorts a laugh. Okay, maybe it was a little bit fun to watch them fade away to their last HP and then heal them up. But scaring people like that was fun! Not to mention, part of the game.

Surskit proves a fitting end to their conquest. Their water moves deal insignificant damage and Fernando tanks them willfully. Anything to help line up a shot. ZAP CANNON pierces the silence with a sizzle and both Pokemon end up paralyzed. Rather than change moves, Fernando sticks to the electric based attack to vaporize the first one.
