[attr="class","spiral"] Fernando's long finished the tutorial. As one of the leading players in the server, there's little reason for him to come back. The monsters here are weak enough to one-shot and provide little to no experience. It's a stark contrast to the stronger ones that roam the dangerous PVP zones.

However, he's close to leveling up and spending some time here to top off his experience bar proves beneficial. As a new game, there's little to no information on what skills or stats he'll receive upon leveling up. He's going in blind and he wagers it's better to see those changes now and upgrade his equipment appropriately while he's still near a town. That's what brings him here to the newbie center and forces him to kill anything within sight, much to the chagrin or those trying to get used to the game.

No such thing as kill stealing if you one-shot it. If the others had their eye on the mob then that's too bad. Shoot quicker next time.

Video games were never her thing. She never dabbled in Xario or Sanic. She didn't care for button mashers or racing games. The only games that a young Bethany Banks knew of was puzzle games in books. A quiet little nerd who wasn't allowed to watch TV until her homework was done to perfection, Beth was what one might consider a little behind on the main media front. [break][break]

And that was why she was still in this forsaken area of the game. How the fuck did this wand thing work?! She had been waving it around for several minutes to try to hit literally anything, but she just kept casting useless healing spells on herself. Finally, she seemed to spot the stupid guide for using literally the only attack she had. Okay. Okay, she could do this. [break][break]

A wave of the wand, her eyes on the prize, and with gusto, she thrusts her wand in the air. It glitters with a sparkling power, building itself up to let loose a beam of little pink bunny silhouettes on her target. Finally, her first kill and-- [break][break]

It was dead before her beam hit. What the fuck? What? Did the game glitch or-- No, wait, there was someone else there. KillJoy whipped around on her heels and locked her gaze on the man just walking through one shotting every mob in sight without a care in the world. [break][break]

"HEY! I had dibs on that one!" she called out. If she could, she'd promptly spam him with exclamation points to emphasize her pitiful fury.

Fernando smiles at her, waving at her welcomingly despite her reaction. "Yeah, must be that. Stupid game. Definitely the game's fault." His word taunt her but the tone of his voice sounds almost genuine, like he truly placed the blame on the system and its' malfunction. Fernando plays along with this only because it amuses him to watch someone displace blame and he tries to egg her on.

Until two more mobs spawn. Fernando locks both within his sights and fires twice. A ZAP CANNON hits each one and leaves them PARALYZED. Easy pickings now. However, watching the other healer struggle appeals to his mercy. He's yet to acquire one for his guild.

He sends her a party invite to join in so they can share what little experience the mobs provided. Considering their level difference, she'll get more than him but that's only because experience gain is relative.

A glitch? Sure bud. Whatever you said. She huffed, and puffed, but resisted further remark as more mobs decided to spawn. Someone so high level could wipe the floor with her easily, so it wasn't worth the fight, anyways. Or, that's what she was telling herself to get her mind focused on simply trying again. [break][break]

It would seem he was about to "steal her kill" all over again, though! Both bulls were zapped and her hair visibly fluffed up in frustration. This little bunny girl healer was about to lose it. How was she gonna level up like this?! However, both bulls were still there after his zapping attack and then a pop up appeared before her. A party invite? Uh... This game had parties? [break][break]

Blinking owlishly at the sequence of events, KillJoy merely spared a cautious glance to the man with a censored name, and hit accept. Various other bits of information popped up in front of her, before she waved it all away for later. Nope. Not dealing with that. Back to the mobs. [break][break]

Bringing up her wand again, the motion was a bit more clean this time. A sparkling effect danced through the air before she let loose a ray of dazzling bunny beams on the two frozen in place bulls. DAZZLING GLEAM was her only attack move, as of now. With his attack followed by her own, it seemed to be enough to deal with these lesser mobs. [break][break]

"... Oh so that's how that works!" she quipped, before looking to the other player. Now she was getting the gaming appeal. "Hey, can you keep doing that?"

Once both monsters are paralyzed, he follows up with the rest of his routine. A CHATTER bullet inflicts confusion and AIR SLASH flinches. Between all three status conditions, the mobs never make it very far, curtaining the need for Beth to heal or for the party to have an actual tank. Just maintaining a distance and keeping them CC'd seemed to be enough to avoid either party taking either damage.

"You new?"

Fernando fires another AIR SLASH and the last mob dies.

"You're a gift!" she quipped, just be the rest of the mobs were essentially deleted from the virtual world with two waves of his hands. This was great! She was practically unnecessary, but here she was. At his question, she promptly nodded. "Yep, figuring it out as I go." [break][break]

Then there was a loud blast of sound from behind her that made her nearly jump out of her VR headeset. It looked as if she had yelled something, but some kind of profanity filter must have silenced her scream. She stumbled a bit, the bunny ears on her head twitching as she turned to the Pokemon that had rattled her so. Yikes! They kept going, as if they were feeding off of each other's roars. An Uproar? She rubbed her human ears briefly, before waving the sparkly staff she had to unleash another Dazzling Gleam on both the Loudred spawns. "Talk about obnoxious, who designed these things?!" she called out over their loud ruckus.
