at least he had long reach that prevented the secondary effect of king's shield taking place.

two actions all for him meant that the player he's assisting gets a free turn. king's shield taking place meant that the warrior's attacking afterwards, but it shows the warrior's cards for both of them to prevent further surprises.

the rogue having a ranged attack wasn't what he expected, however. the attack hits, and he sees a short cooldown on his health bar that indicates the duration of the flinch. kyle breathes deep. he was certain people preferred high damage moves more than status effects during the early days. did fernando establish a meta?

kyle recovers from the attack, still clinging on his high ground for the fight, watching his teammate try to take down the rogue instead. kyle has mixed opinions on the decision, but without knowing their entire moveset of their opponents, everything's a shot in the dark.
