ten minutes break. kyle can squeeze in a quick grind at the nearest area with wild pokemon.

he brings himself to the outskirts of the main city to fight off wild pokemon for experience. he doesn't really need to grind, but there was just something about killing things in the game that made it more satisfying that just sitting around in the game.

perhaps it's because it's actually engaging.

he whips out his weapon as he tries to make a reason out of it. when he remembers he'd rather just sleep in real life than do something, his hypothesis quickly gets thrown out of the window.

kyle finally gets why fernando uses guns as his weapon of choice in the game. they just look cool with the clicks and clinks within their steampunk designs that seemed out of place in the medieval setting.

"bam!"

kyle shoots the ursaring with an icicle crash, flinching it for another chance of a shot. the ursaring falls and dissipates into pixels, giving kyle the loot he needs.

he wishes shooting pokemon with guns was an option in real life that he can take instead of battling them with his own pokemon.

the spinda was the more awkward choice to shoot. it's smaller and it teeters with every step and it looks like a predator's natural prey that it's going to die without intervention.

not that it matters for kyle. they're just a bunch of pixels and data anyways.

"bam!"

kyle puts the barrel of the shotgun at the back of the spinda's head and pulls the trigger. it shoots the brains out of the spinda with an icicle crash, spears of ice piercing through its head before it disintegrates into loot.

the spinda and the ursaring were nice, but the stantler was just plain boring. if he wanted to shoot a gun at a pokemon, it definitely won't be a pokemon that would normally be shot at with guns.

kyle points his shotgun at the stantler, ready to shoot it like a hunter shoots at game, which is a pretty direct metaphor to use. he pulls the trigger. it shoots the brains out of the stantler with an icicle crash, spears of ice piercing through its head before it disintegrates into loot.
