a ribombee floats by, a trail of pollen behind it. his gardevoir stares it down a moment before snatching it out the air with PHANTOM FORCE. the bug pokemon didn't stand a chance.

reflex pulls marcel to step aside as soon as he senses a disturbance in the air. the ENERGY BALL, having missed the man, continues towards his gardevoir. it hits its target, rippling into spectral matter without making it through the other side--absorbed, perhaps, or maybe it had simply fulfilled its purpose.

his gardevoir was a puzzling specimen, that was for sure.
[break][break]
if it's bothered by the attack, it doesn't show it--then again, he hadn't seen any hint of emotion from the pokemon as of yet. without warning, it TELEPORTS close to the slurpuff, hitting it with a swift PHANTOM FORCE.

it's swallowed into the ground--like it is dying once again--shadows into shadows until it is impossible to tell that anything had been there at all. though marcel keeps an expectant eye on the shuppet, even he jumps slightly at the winding arms that burst from beneath it. the shuppet breaks free with a flicker of a will-o-wisp, before it's snatched from the air once again.

marcel watches with some discomfort as the pokemon's pulled into the ground. well, that was some demonstration.
