flying-type mobs weren't particularly interesting to katherine, yet there she was, searching for some in the bridges of avia.

why?

well, there was only one reason.
the false king. his types were the types she needed to train against the most. and despite having already won a battle versus him, kat very much intended to pursue winning the next one. and the one after that. in fact, all of their fights. if he'd taken the sword from her, then she intended to make him pay by losing each time they met each other in a place where killing him didn't require a special invite.

a beautifly.

cute, katherine thought to herself. she did like the butterfly pokemon and would have even considered capturing one if she had encountered it in real life. however, in this game? all it could her was its loot. unfortunately, it didn't seem like a mob of a higher rank-- so she doubted it'd be anything to write home about. nevertheless, she amasses strength and mana into her wand, forcing it to expel flames that dance upon the bug-type's body, until it is lit by flames and burns into pixels.

the loot, before it drops to the ground, is carried to the mage by the aid of the psychic move. and onto the next one now..!

the server-wide message appears on her screen.

all of the spots for the raid against zapdos have been taken. other players got to it first. "fuck. really?" the pinkette feels a tad sad now, especially considering how much time she wasted in avia. there were so many other, better kingdoms to explore... ah. what a shame. "whatever. i didn't like it here anyway. probably best to save these for the next one." the mage attempts to convince herself that she isn't mad.

and if it wasn't for the fact that she kept blasting the poor, scyther mob with the psychic move repeatedly, then maybe someone would have believed her.

she's too distracted with thinking about the fact that the raid spots were taken by someone else. shit. it's not what katherine wanted to hear, clearly. instead, she would've preferred to hear about some mini-boss spawning nearby-- but no. lady luck wasn't by her side tonight. "whatever. i'll beat him with and without special gear," she speaks to herself, drawing the attention of a nearby unfezant spawn. the mob's eyes narrow as it slashes the air with its wing, carving an air cutter in the wind. "annoying." she mutters, blasting it with an icicle that goes through the attack and hits it easily.

and then, another icicle is conjured if only to finish the battle. she wanted to log off.
