he didn't want to leave his house and his vrmmorpg lifestyle, but this was something that needed to be done. the corporate evils has forced him to do the one thing he doesn't want to do: leave his house.

while he whines and groans throughout his trip to the safari zone, kyle is pretty determined to not leave the place empty handed. there was one thing that he wants from the safari zone's current list of pokemon, and kyle is not leaving until all four of his pokeballs held the pokemon that he wanted.

stepping out of the facility and into the vast wilderness, kyle readies himself for the hunt.

a bird flies overhead. kyle doesn't notice it cause he doesn't walk around the safari zone with his head tilted all the way up.

the trainer keeps looking for the pokemon he sought for. he thought the wide plains was the place where he'd find them after he saw bailey stream planet zoo on their e4 and friends discord server-- aptly renamed 'original e4 and friends' after the untimely death of mateo and stormy replacing him.

the lycanroc in that game had nothing in their enclosure beside a few rocks, and he thought that was a thing in real life too that they prefer a living space just like that.

the dunsparce was so plain that kyle did not even notice it on the ground. that, or he's just too focused on finding rockruffs.

he continues to traverse the vast plains of a section of the safari zone. a few patches of grass were here and there, but nothing much stands out, which was good. it meant that any rockruff stands out of plain sight.

finally, he gets to meet one.

"charlie, get him!"

his hand moves to his side, clicking the release button of a pokeball hanging by his waist. the figure of the mightyena comes before them, surprising the rockruff that stood before their path. instead of getting aggressive, however, it remains in place.

"i-it's not fighting back? the fuck?"

kyle approaches the rockruff after gesturing his mightyena to stay. the wild pokemon doesn't seem to get aggressive even when the trainer approaches him, only taking a few steps back as a precaution.

when he finds no signs of aggression from the rockruff, he quickly moves in and picks up up by its torso and carrying it by his side. he gives it a proclamation that he was certain a docile rockruff wouldn't question.

"you're mine now, okay? okay."

his attention was all to the rockruff he just captured. it remains on his hip as kyle travels the safari zone with a dog beside him. his mightyena follows after his trainer, seemingly unsure on how to react to the wild pokemon they just kidnapped.

he stops at the sight of the gible. the temptation is there as he lists people he knows that might appreciate the pokemon, with him being at the top of the said list.

kyle quickly disregards the musing in his head. he has an objective when he came to the safari zone, and he was here to follow his to-do list. he only has three pokeballs left to use, and using them on a gible was probably something he'd do once he runs out of time.

a solosis was something that he'd try out for battling, but it doesn't have four legs so it wasn't a dog. that meant he has no time to waste for the likes of it.

kyle continues to search for the elusive blue puppy since that was his objective. setting goals and making sure they get completed was a healthy mindset, or something like that, so kyle continues to make sure he makes it a reality by skipping the useless ones.
