Once again, Maverick found himself on route 114. Though this time, he knew what he was looking for. After recently learn some of his old pokemon some how made it here, the man was determined to find them. Although he was not sure how or why they are here, he just hoped to find them soon or at least before they ended up on some ones else team. He already heard of a few dark types like to hang in this area and Mav was sure his would too.[break][break]

The next morning, Maverick and his beloved canine traveled here and started their hunt. The trainer’s crimson colored orbs flickered to his beloved canine, the only one he managed to bring with him here. “Have you found any signs of the other yet?” The man asked the hellhound as her nostrils flared, taking in the scents in the area. After a few minutes of her trying to rack a scent, a low whine indicated there was no signs yet. The man frowned, but tried not to give up hope. “Let’s keep looking. We have all day.” With that, the pair continued their search. Maverick held his egg close, being sure it was safe.

The wasn’t the type of guy that cared for eggs. Although the man was know for his patience, eggs were not his thing. Granted, he had taken care of at least six eggs back before he came to this region. But still, the amount of time and gentleness it took just wasn’t him. Maverick, has what most expected probably, was a made that was rough, loves to fight and battle, and never was the type to care for babies. Of course, if his mother ever found out her little boy wasn’t the type that liked baby she would surely through a fit. After, she wanted grand children. Bleh… Maverick could almost feel the automated roll of his eyes when that conversation came up.[break][break]

It was only when Azula warning growl arose when the man snapped out of his daze. Crimson colored orbs blinked franticly as his vision cleared to see a sandslash before them. It appeared to be strong too. They pair watched as the sandslash stashed its claws in the air, clearly a warning to step back. The trainer contipated on whether he should engage the wild pokemon for not. Sandslash was a ground type. This would be good disadvantage type training for his massive six foot Houndoom. About as ground type pokemon began to scratch its feet across the earth in its last warning snarl, Maverick decided today wasn’t the day for it. Azula snarled in return, ready to pounce when her trainer gave her orders.[break][break]

“Leave it girl,” the scarred man mumbled with a sigh, partly disappointed that he was walking away from a good training exercise, “We need to keep looking. They’re out there some where. Maybe the next one. I know you’re aching for a battle.” The fire and dark type growled, sneezing in aggravation that she had to once again… walk away. Waving off the wild pokemon and turning the other way, the pair kept searching for their long lost companions.

It wasn’t long after sandslash that the pair came across yet another creature Maverick was unfamiliar with. Azula let out a low growl as the oddly looking creature hovered in flight before them. Warm colored orbs flickered to Azula as her muscles stiffen, body lowered in defense mode. “Flappe! Flap! Flap!” The creature called out, swaggering back and forth before them. The man chuckled light, a hint of ta grin spread across his lips. “I think it wants to battle Azula,” the trainer told his beloved massive houndoom as she snarled. “Flap! Flap!” With grass and dragon type’s broken wings took on a white glow as they opened wide, only to charge forward in a wing attack. However, Azula was quicker. The canine dodge to the left, feeling the lick of flames touch her tongue. And whence safely moved out of the way, muzzle burst open with a stream of flames. The flamethrower catch the creature off guard as it suddenly engulfed in flames.[break][break]

The creature screamed, though shook the flames off swiftly. But before the creature could attack, Maverick barked his orders. “Azula! Howl than flamethrower once more.” Without hesitation, the fire and dark type throw her head back. Muzzle parted slightly as her let out a loud eerie howl erupted into the sky, the cry of the wolf echoed off their surroundings. She would almost feel the power boost. Once Azula was satisfied with the howl, hot lava filled her gut once more. Seconds passed and once again, a blazing hot stream of flames exploded from her muzzle and hurled towards the flapple. The creature hollered once more, feeling the burn. But this time however, the pokemon fell to the earth in a thud. Taking the opportunity, Maverick snatched a poke ball from his pocket. With the flick of his wrist, the two tone ball flew in the air and smacked the creatures head. The ball opened up and sucked the creature in. Once the wild pokemon in the ball, it locked close and began its normal process. Will he have yet another pokemon in his party?
