Maverick remained silent, staring blankly at the alolan meowth as he hissed and scratched at the air in the canine’s direction. What the hell was wrong with this pokemon? The man blinked, his gaze shifted to Kyle’s when he commented on its behavior. And really, Maverick was took back too. He only shrugged his shoulder, both species and actually pokemon were new to him. Even as the electric canine charged forward, the trainer didn’t say anything at first. He only watched as the cat hissed even louder, somehow arching his back even more and baring his little teeth. And when the bolturd was close, Remy booked it. He ran in circles trying to escape the jaws of the canine. However, Remy just wasn’t quick enough.

Pain surged through the feline as he screamed in pain from the crunch he had to endure. Although he was dark type too, the sheer fact that he was caught sent him into the panic frenzy. He flailed about, creaming all the while. It was kinda of amusing really, the once sassy lazy cat now going bat shit crazy. But after a minute or too, the man let out a huffed chuckle and tried to calm the crazy feline. “Remy,” the man hollered over his feline fiasco, “Use nightslash to escape.”

At first, the feline only continued his hissing, snarling, flailing about fiasco as the Pokemon’s ability strong jaw kept him from escaping. But then, his claws extended out from his paws. A dark aurora surround them as they grew twice as big than normal. In hopes he could get a hit in enough to escape, the alolan meowth used nightshade anywhere he could in hopes the canine would let him go just enough to wiggle free and flee.

The feline screamed in agony as he thrashed against and flailed about in an attempt to escape the boltunds grip. However, Remy just couldn’t get out of the pokemon’s strong jaw. And in truth, Maverick couldn’t do anything either unless he choice to recall him. His fingers held his ball, but he didn’t bring his arm forward to recall. Instead, the trainer watched as the electric creature started to roll around. His meowth pleaded to be set free of his trap, though the man still refused to called the creature back. Remy just had to tough it out until the canine let him go. And let him go, he did.

Suddenly, the canine threw the feline in the air. Remy’s body flailed about as his own cat like abilities kicked in. And a few wiggles and soon, he was ready to land on his feet like most cats do. Seeing that his feline was about to be done and his pride will yet again be smashed, Maverick hollered. “Dark pulse!” With every last bit of energy the creature could, a dark aura slowly formed around his golden charm. And when he was just a few feet from the canine in the air, a beam of purple and black shot out form the charm in an attempt to dark pulse the canine below him. If the attack didn’t work, he would be at the mercy of the canine once again.

The dark pulse worked, forcing the canine to let him go. A wave relief washed over him that he was finally out of the creature’s clutches. However, his victory was short lived. The fall to the ground wasn’t nice either. His body hit the ground with a soft thud, sending another shock wave of pain through his entire body. Remy groaned in agony, unable to move due to unbearable pain. Weakly, he tried to crawl his way away from the canine but they canine wasn’t having that.

As soon as the creature made contact with the feline, surges of electric pusled through his body like he was struck by lightning. Remy hollered, hair standing on end and body flailed about until the attacks effects were done. Maverick sighed, seeing his cat motionless in front of him. “Well,” the man mumbled to himself, poking at his pride again, “He’s done.” Pointing the pokeball, it sucked him in within moments. Maverick lost again. This is really turning into a bad day.

Plucking another ball from his rooster, another pokemon materialize before him. The umbreon meow at the bolturd, checks blushed at the strong looking male. Hopefully this time, Maverick won’t lose. “Mean look than Assurance.” “Umbreee!” The creature replied happy. Her ruby eyes took on even darker red, a dark ghostly aura surrounds them as she stares down her opponent in hopes it would make the creature not escape. And once she felt the status effect worked, she darted towards the canine as swiftly as she could. Darting left and right to try to keep the bolturd not knowing when or where she is going to attack. Her aim was that the mean look would make the pokemon freeze in fear, giving her an opening to use assurance.

In a way, there was a reason why this guy was part of the Elite Four. And really, the scarred trainer should consider himself honored to be battling against him even though it was merely a practice session. But really, it just rained on his sense of pride and made the trainer realized he had a long way to go before he could even challenge a gym let alone battle an elite four personal officially. The man sighed, but tried to let it get to him. Even as the umbreon landed a successful hit on the boltund, it back fired just as quickly.

The nuzzle made the umbreon checks redden in a blush at first, feeling as though the creature was showing her affection. Did he like her? But it swiftly turned in shock, literally. A rub against her shoulder send shock waves of electricity through her entire body, forcing her body to lock up and fall to the ground not so gracefully. She let out a groan as she tried to stand up, feeling almost dizzy at first. Luckily, Nisha managed to get to her feet. But when she tried to move, sparks skipped across her fur proving she was unable to move any further. She let out a loud meow in pain as the parallelization forced her ability of synchronize to activate. However, it was canceled due to her opponent being unable to be paralyzed because of it being an electric type.

Mavierkc growled at himself, already seeing how this battle was going to end too. Warm orbs flickered to his opponent, wondering what he was about to order his canine to do with his creature unable to move for an unknown amount of time. “Stay calm Nisha,” he hollered out in hopes it would encourage her to keep fighting until the end, “Concentrate. Fight it.” The dark type pokemon cried out, trying with even fiber of her being to move her legs or even tail. But nothing responded to her command, only sparks skipped across her body feeling the buzz of electricity still pulsing though her. She was at the mercy of the canine.
