It was time to get some training started. With the lost of his former team and the unknown if he would ever find them all again, the scarred man couldn’t just wait around in hopes he would one day find them all. Yes, it sucked giving up and walking away from the past seven years he spent special training them. But in the end, Mav could be waiting another seven to even find them all and that was IF he could. Deciding to walk away from his former team of owning his own gym, the late twenty year old instead focused on becoming a champion. And over the past several years, his interest in pokemon expanded into not just dark types. Maverick has decided he wanted to venture in not only dark type pokemon, but dragon and fire as well. However, his mission to save and rescue any houndour or houndoom that he came across was still his number one.
But today wasn’t about that, today was time to test some of his newer recruits. With his desire to get some hard core practice in, Maverick posted on the internet ti find someone to train with. And within no time, the dark haired man found a match and traveled here to battle. Warm crimson colored digits flickered to his massive six foot tall hell hound Azula, sporting her famous bone white rapidash skull. Rough hands extended out to brush the smooth surface of the skull were her jaw line would be, a hint of a grin tugged at the edge of his lips. “I know you are eager to battle Azula,” the man spoke tenderly to his companion as she stood on guard next to him, “But you are well versed in the art of battle. These new comers are not. If anything, I need you to help me train them.” The ebony furred creature let out a low growl, annoyed though appeared to understand. “Good,” the trainer replied, shoving his hands into the pockets of his dark pants before letting his gaze cast over his surrounds.
The pair waited on the outskirts of verdanturf closer to the route. To be honest, he wasn’t really sure were his person wanted to battle or anything. In fact, Mav only new of the name. A mister Kyle Lopez. The man sounded promising for a good practice session but only time could tell. With a bored sigh, the pair patiently waited. Maverick casually stood off to the side of main traffic in and out of the town, warm colored orbs glued to his cell phone held in his right hand frowning at something. Thankfully, the man wore a white button up today. It was a warm one, especially with the sun occasionally peeking out from behind the clouds. A light breeze cooled him off as well, though it wasn’t strong enough to mess with his wind blown back hair style today.
