[attr="class","gia i"]okay, as far as plans go... this might be one of the stupidest decisions yet. that's not to say that she necessarily planned this through but, well, how exactly do you plan for being stranded on an island? with nothing but the pokemon in your possession and the clothes on your back, it's not logical to even attempt to plan. and so, she didn't. instead, she simply roped the only person she could think of into her schemes and managed to completely screw the both of them.

"sooo," she begins with a drawl, actively avoiding the woman's gaze in the process. she doesn't need to look to know the expression emma wears is nothing less than murderous. "come here often?" smacked. she's going to get smacked.

naturally, it had begun as all of her terrible ideas begin: with a tv show. too many nights spent on the couch resulted in her hitting up her favorite baddie with a simple question. 'you tryna do something fun?' of course, she had been ignored because really, does anyone expect emma to put up with her shit? no, absolutely not. she had to pester her way into getting the woman where she wanted her. only then did she secure the bag. and by bag, she most certainly means her signature on a contract.

"you wanna play a game?" she snickers, as if to further cement the notion that emma is going to kill her before they leave this island. "this is a challenge, right? why not make it fun?"

The harshness in her tone is mostly misdirected. She's frustrated at her current situation: stuck on an island without communication or Pokemon to take her away from her. It would likely only be a matter of time before her Noivern realized she was missing and would come looking - but it was times like these that she wished she had caught the stupid giant bat.[break][break]

This is what she gets for being respectful and considerate of feelings. It's a Pokemon, Emma, it's a tool for you to use. And yet she hadn't ever treated it like one. Not since it had rescued her.[break][break]

Emma walks away from the chatty blonde, muttering under her breath about how stupid all of this was among other unsavory things.[break][break]

But Giada's ridiculous ask to play a game has Emma turning around to face her with disbelief and frustration. [break][break]

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

[attr="class","gia i"]"nope," she pops the p with a smack of glossy lips and a following snicker. her, stop talking? when hell freezes over or tepigs fly, maybe. until then, emma will be stuck hearing her ramble for a week. or... until she's tucked into a makeshift forever box and tossed out to sea. something tells her the latter is more feasible than anything else.

naturally, she tries to follow when emma turns, as if they're better together and it's a travesty to leave her in the sand. the woman is a bit too quick on her feet or heels and sand don't mix. whatever the case, she's lagging behind just enough to stare at emma's back instead of sauntering shoulder to shoulder. it's not all bad, though... she's in the prime spot to see the look on her companion's face when she whips back around, feet stilling in slightly damp sand.

"a game," she retorts with a roll of her eyes like it's common sense, like it's something everyone does. and perhaps it is but they're not everyone and they certainly never have time for games. "you know, checkers, tag? oooh, cat and mouse!" it's difficult to keep the giggles at bay. they punctuate every suggestion that comes flying out of her mouth until she's dissolving into laughter. maybe the sun's getting to her. no, not yet. this is a game in and of itself if she really bothers to think about it. and maybe that's why she keeps pressing her luck, as if the concept of riling up emma is enticing all on its own. "not in a playful mood, babe?"

She can feel the start of a migraine coming on but she's too stubborn to give it any mind. Instead, her expression just looks pinched and uncomfortable as she reasons through their situation. They needed to build a makeshift shelter. She needed to leave a signal or a sign for the Noivern to find her. It had impeccable echolocation abilities, it would find them.[break][break]

"You know, it's easier if you take the heels off, Morgan."[break][break]

There's a reason Emma doesn't wear them, herself. It's not that she can't, she'd just rather not break an ankle or a stiletto heel trying to get a job done. [break][break]

"We don't have time for games."[break][break]

Emma sounds distracted, already planning ten steps ahead in order to keep them alive - both of them. It was increasingly difficult to do so when Giada was insisting on being a distraction.[break][break]

And, to add insult to injury, she could see no source of water from her immediate position. Her expression is set in a firm line as she thinks this over.[break][break]

"Do I look playful to you? Focus. Do something useful and help me find some water."

[attr="class","giada i"]okay, she's a little offended now. first, emma doesn't want to play a game and now, to add insult to injury, she's making comments about her heels? the audacity. although, the woman does have a point... it would be easier to follow her if her heels didn't keep sinking into the sand. eventually, they'll get stuck and she'll be forced to pry them off and out but for now, she merely scoffs and steps a little lighter as if that'll actually help. it doesn't but shh.

"there's always time for games," she says it so matter-of-factly that she's sure emma will merely roll her eyes. and so she'll grin as if it's already a won battle. checkmate? nope, definitely not but the blonde will think so anyway.

giada falls silent for a moment, content with merely seeing if she can actually watch the gears in emma's head churn. she can't but she could picture it at least. and while she should be contributing, giada morgan has a nasty little habit of constantly being distracted by anything and everything. really, you should see her on a job. shoutout to the poor blokes that get stuck with her.

"you never look playful," giada mumbles, a pout beginning to etch itself onto her features. irritated emma never leaves room for arguments, however, so she merely sighs and gives a quick glance to their surroundings. "water might be further inland? you know, like a lake or whatever?" aren't they still near the beach? or is the whole thing technically a beach? just, you know, with more trees and less sand in some places. her brain already hurts. damn, thinking sucks.
