as marcel approaches, the houndour bares its fangs. a sudden FLAMETHROWER is intercepted by his sylveon, who throws a PROTECT in front of marcel. "well, he's got guts," marcel jokes to his unimpressed pokemon as he digs round his pockets for an empty pokeball. a second PROTECT is used, but before they can risk a third, marcel throws a pokeball at the dog pokemon.
