Presented with the next challenge, Kaida suddenly stepped forward and released Hema, the off-color Seviper certainly not a thief of any kind, but Kaida was starting to understand. "Hema, take out its ability." Stealing three spoons was too easy under normal circumstances, and only three? What did the fourth person do? Easy, this. [break][break]

Hema coughed, bringing up an acid that was nowhere near dangerous to Pokemon, but had a special effect, and spat it over the psychic type. The Gastro Acid wouldn't harm it, but stung and got under its skin, eliminating its ability with the mysterious poison. [break][break]

"Ok. Steal now!"

Lars was a little more than surprised to see Kaida take the lead in this one—however she’d done that, and with good reason.

Chuckling softly once the ability keeping the remaining spoons in place was neutralized, he then shuffled around in his pockets before pulling out a rarely-used Pokéball and spinning it to full size. He then sent out his Typhlosion, Lanval, who hit the mat in utter confusion.

“I know you’re just as confused as I am… but remember that one move I always warned you not to use? Well, this is the one time I’ll allow you to use it. Go grab one of those spoons for me with Covet, will you?” he said with a slight gesture.

Confused for a few moments, the Typhlosion then approached the Alakazam slowly, before giving it his best impression of the ‘innocent eyed look’. At the same time he had done so, he quickly darted around behind the Alakazam and leapt up, snatching one of the three spoons with Covet before hitting the mat once more and heading back to where Lars was waiting, outstretched hand at the ready.

“Go get your spoons, let’s get this over with,” he said in Iris’s and Cap’s direction.

"take a spoon," she says, pointing at the alakazam. it takes a moment for it to click, but the jolteon soon darts off, utilising its speed to attack with a hasty COVET, grabbing a spoon in its mouth in the process.

Cap's face twisted up in confusion as the dojo student relayed their goal for this floor. His eyes shifted between his companions. Stealing? He wasn't... okay... with stealing. He almost let out a half-crazed laugh but stopped himself. Everyone else seemed more than comfortable with the situation. Alright, Caprice, you got this, buddy. Kaida jumped in to make the first move, and apparently it was a good thing she did. Cap snapped to attention as the Typhlosion and Jolteon leap into action.

"Oh right," he fumbled, digging through his pockets for the right Pokeball. A bouncy Chimchar appeared as the red light faded. The little Pokemon wasted no time. He was already somersaulting his way towards the Alakazam when Cap shouted after him, "Bring me one of those spoons!" Icarus tumbled and bounced, feinting one way before launching himself up and over the Alakazam's head, using a well timed Covet to nab one of the spoons at the last second.

He’d heard the rumors about this particular floor causing problems—because there was a very specific Pokémon needed in order to conquer it.

Thankfully, though, he had just the one who could handle it—maybe him picking up the Pancham way back then was some kind of a sign of divine providence? He never knew.

Either way, Lars made his way over to the Rotomi and swapped out Lanval for his aptly-named Pancham, Lee. Once he had returned to the mat, he spun the Pokéball a few moments before popping it to full size and sending out the little kung-fu fighting panda.

“Well… that’s your opponent, Lee. Do me proud out there, will you? Storm Throw it, now!” and off went the Pancham, his Mold Breaker ability kicking in before striking the Kabutops with the fiercest of blows it could manage as it unleashed its Storm Throw attack. After he had completed the task, he walked back to Lars, waving his tiny little fists in the Ranger’s direction.

“Wha—oh, okay,” he said, crouching down and giving the Pancham an encouraging fist-bump of a gesture.

“Nicely done.”

Kaida removed a new Pokeball, a Pokemon that wasn't familiar to her, but was necessary for this particular task. The Throh that came out stompted on the mat and obediently looked at Kaida, who it was tasked with obeying for this task. "Thank you for helping...do the, um, Storm Throw." [break][break]

The borrowed Throh sucked in a breath before screaming forward, arms outstretched as his Mold Breaker caused him to overcome all obstacles. Storm Throw would crack against the Battle Armor, and break through critically. [break][break]

Cap was content to follow in the steps of the others. They all seemed like pretty capable people, really. Maybe he could convince them to go grab a drink with him after all of this tower nonsense was over and done with. With a flash of red light, Cap adds his own Pokemon to the mix: a towering Pangoro who fixed him with a sour look for a moment.

"I'm sure you know what to do," Cap said sheepishly. The Pokemon lent by his boss were coming in more and more handy. And, luckily for Caprice, they were all pretty well versed in what they needed to do. The Pangoro snorted, pounding one fist into the palm of his other hand. He charged, grappling the Kabutops with one mighty paw and hurling it with Storm Throw. Mold Breaker would ensure the opponent's defenses were of no consequence.

notes: pangoro uses storm throw with the mold breaker ability!
