kyle runs to the thickness of the wilds, looks around, and then releases his ninetales.

"make it snow!"

the ninetales grants kyle's wish as he exits his pokeball, snow warning immediately cooling the warm hoenn summer air with its presence. suddenly, everything problem currently has is solved, and none of the people who would berate him for suddenly changing the weather could do so since he's away from everyone else.

it's not like he can permanently set up a snowy section here with just his own pokemon anyways.

the entire place drops to freezing temperatures. most of the wild pokemon have ventured off for warmer temperatures. there was one pokemon that remained however, and kyle's ninetales guides his trainer's attention towards it.

"what's it?" he asks, following his pokemon's gaze.

he walks straight from the clearing towards the direction that the ninetales pointed at until he comes across a bush where a frozen puddle of ditto lay. he supposed that gelatinous mixtures do get solidified in the cold, but it never occurred to him that the same applies to living creatures.

a ditto's a ditto anyways, and as rare as they are, kyle knows he'll find an opportunity where he'll need it, forgetting that he already has one in his storage somewhere.

stuck in an unfavorable condition, kyle drops a pokeball from his height onto the ditto for a capture.
