[attr="class","illie i"]apparently searching for pokemon an automaton can actually have a fair wrestling match against is harder than she thought? who knew? not surprising given the size and general sneakiness the golurk possesses but still... nothing but small, frail pokemon for hours? ugh.

"okay," she murmurs, glancing over her shoulder at the lumbering automaton behind her. the discolored phantom gives her a thumbs up and a rumble. "let's go." this time, perhaps, will be the winning ticket. or nothing more than a nail in a coffin. time will tell, she supposes. either way... her feet hurt already.

[attr="class","illie i"]an actual teddy bear crosses their path and both figures stop to stare. it's cute, really, but not exactly ready to man handle her automaton. maybe if it grew in size... the disappointed rumble from her golurk is telling.

"come on," she murmurs, a hand moving to tug at the automaton's. "let's keep looking." they abandon the stufful in this clearing and begin to drift to the next, careful to not disturb the teddy further.

[attr="class","illie i"]next comes the evolved form of her riolu. better, but not quite enough. and while she wants to stop n offer a small wave toward the lucario, they are on a strict schedule and her golurk is growing a little restless. it ushers her away with large clay hands forming a shooing motion.

the lucario doesn't bother to stop them. instead, it shrugs and moves along.

[attr="class","illie i"]three strikes seems to be enough for her automaton to grow bored. whether it's of the area or the game of cat and mouse, she isn't sure. all the golurk offers is a soft huff and a drifting gaze, as if the clouds moving overhead are suddenly much more interesting than the third pokemon to cross their path. and perhaps she flashes an apologetic smile to the newcomer for disturbing it. and maybe she feels a little bad about the way it pouts as if the fighting type was actually excited to make some friends.

definitely a little bad when she glances over her shoulder while they make their exit... only to find the conkeldurr looking a little more defeated and a little more sad the farther they get. poor thing.
