[attr="class","witness"]Francie isn't the least bit surprised that somebody recognizes her. She makes her way forward, keeping her scarf tugged up over her face, along with a pair of clear protection glasses. Equipment that she typically uses when taking her lycanrocs to lay in the ash, which is what they're doing as they slowly follow behind her.

"Thank you for the warning, councilman Lykos! We've never been formally introduced, I don't think..."

Her memory's foggy, but she's pretty sure she's only seen him in group texts and email announcements.

"Francie Myrtle! It's a pleasure to finally meet you!"

Finally, a councilmen other than kim cole-essam that Francie can meet herself and become friends with. After all, isn't that like, the point of life? Make as many friends as possible??

It usually is the point for Francie, anyway.

Orion Lykos

[attr="class","witness"]Being the only responsible lycanroc that Francie has, Louie, the dusk form, makes his way over to sit beside her and listen to their conversation. He's also giving the 'fuck off' vibes to anything that comes close, then makes eye contact with the absol. Now that was a pokemon he could get behind. Down to business. No nonsense.

Unlike the midday and midnight lycanrocs behind him, whom are play fighting like lunatics on the side of the mountain. The midday bites the midnight's take, who farts in the midday's face, and then there is a lot of whining and cackles.

Francie isn't embarrassed or bothered by any of it.

"Oh... miss Myrtle, I can't seem to get used to that... but anyway! What a strange place to run into you, though. Are you out on patrol?"

It'd make sense for somebody like mister Lykos.

[attr="class","witness"]There is a mutual understanding between the two of them. Francie doesn't much like being called miss either, for close to the same reason. She's never been a miss, really, or felt like a miss. People calling her miss gave her a bad taste in her mouth, unless they were younger than her.

But, she's come to accept it, given her position. It helps that she feels she can wear the title proudly, now. The title of gym leader. Like being through what she's been through, and going where she's gone, and having helped in the distant way she has-- well, needless to say, it didn't feel so foreign to her anymore.

"I think, once you get the-- eh??"

Suddenly the flash of pink is noticed, and Francie is beaming. It is definitely a pink heracross, a true rarity, and Francie's far too excited.

"Louie!"

A swift rock climb later and Louie's closed in on the heracross. While it tried for close combat, Louie had gotten a good crunch in. Luckily, the heracross endured enough that Francie was able to throw a ball at it.

"Oh my goodness. Can you believe that?? What luck!"

[attr="class","witness"]Francie doesn't mind the wild pokemon either. She's far to enthralled in her new pink heracross, that she'll probably never use. Either way, it's her fist shiny, and she can't help the way she grins.

"It's super cute, and I'm sure there's a breeder out there who might want it."

Pocketing the ball, then thinking on the looming doom that might have happened otherwise. She hadn't even thought of that. She had simply thought that perhaps somebody who wanted it for a good purpose would find it. Poachers were never on the forefront of her mind until he mentioned it.

"Oh, I suppose you're right... hm. I'm a bit more relieved at having caught it, then. I mean, usually I'm not one for any type but rock... I'm learning, though! That each type has its place, y'know?"

[attr="class","witness"]avery jones? The name didn't sound familiar, and she showed as much by shaking her head lightly.

"Not off the top of my head, but I'll do a search when I get home. So that this thing will have a good home! Thanks so much, Orion."

Suddenly, she flinched.

"Oh wait-- Is it okay that I call you that? I didn't think about it, um, it just slipped. I call Kim, Kim, but, I mean, that's different right? I've known him for forever..."

Maybe she was trying to justify her actions like me trying to justify why Shiv gave us a sawk not a throh, but, nobody will know.
