His brow furrows as Fernando delivers his to-the-point assessment of the Elite Four. It's only the fact that they're discussing the Four that it clicks: Stormy must not be her real name. That's fair. Orion's not his, either. While he finds Silph's judgement of her harsh, he doesn't argue them in the moment. They've more pressing matters.[break][break]

"Neutral's what I aim for," he agrees: his way of assuring Fernando that no offense was taken.[break][break]

He hopes they can solve this without having to drag kim cole-essam into it, too.[break][break]

He takes what notes he can based on Fernando's report: purple, flying, incredibly strong. It's not much to work with, but it's all they've got. That they'd managed to avoid surveillance and any reports from news or nosy civilians was a testament to the attacker's caution. They wouldn't slip up easy, he imagines.[break][break]

"I'll look into what I can," he promises. "Who else knows? Hospital?"[break][break]

He'd been bandaged up somewhere, after all: how much had he told them about the Pokemon in particular?

With a troubled huff, Fernando can feel his body relax alongside his exhale. The escapism of putting responsibility onto someone else brings a great relief after spending so much time being the sole inheritor of Hoenn's plagues. At least in his eyes.

"Only me and my Pokemon. You make the first person I've told in detail. The hospital only knows that I was injured in an 'accident'. They didn't press too much when I refused to elaborate."

Naturally, that's not true either. Fernando's told another but he's confident enough in both party's secrecy that he'll never be revealed. The fact that both of them have been told they're the first and only created a bond of trust that's not easily dissuaded. And, should one reveal, Fernando can press both of them aggressively as the only possible source.

For a moment, Fernando pauses. Against his better judgement, he puts all his chips on the table. In the event he's betrayed, he'll know who to blame. "Or you can call me on my private line; it's F-e-r-n E-l-i-a-r-d on a keypad. Fern Eliard." Only a handful of people know his middle name. He's unsure if Orion will make the connection. Regardless, it's trivial.

"I'll recover from this and make my next major appearance at the Pokeathlon. That should be high profile enough that they won't think twice about showing up. If they do, at least we can flush them into the open."

Against the fate of the universe, Fernando sticks to his gun — superstition is for the mentally weak, those that rely on a crutch to explain what they do not understand.

"Hopefully, next time we meet it'll be at better news."

Little do they know, it'll be the biggest tribulation this administration has ever seen.
