The residence of one 'Dr. Patrick Cavalli' was a two-bedroom bungalow on the outskirts of Fallarbor. Its proximity to Meteor Falls meant that Gavin was incredibly familiar with its yawning caves.[break][break]

Today, he's not alone. A sparring session is interrupted when Gavin spots a familiar head of blonde hair some distance away; she hasn't noticed them, he thinks, and he turns his attention to his Rocket cohort.[break][break]

"She's not of ours," he tells Sebastian, his voice barely above a whisper. They're nowhere within earshot, but he's always been over-cautious. "She knows me as Patrick; that's my name as far as we're concerned. What do I call you?"[break][break]

Not all Rockets operate under false names, but it's always good to ask.[break][break]

After clearing things up with Sebastian, Gavin clears his throat and calls, "Hey, captain!" The ordinarily stoic Rocket grins and lifts a hand in greeting. "Fancy meeting you so far from the ocean."

Skyler has to blow a few strands of curly hair away from her face as she pushes herself over a rocky ledge. This isn't one of her usual haunts; in fact, if not for the constant sound of running water, the blonde would feel completely out of her element.

Still, the contract she's signed has - for some reason - specified this locale in particular.

As she looks around, she sees a couple of waterfalls and some decently-sized pools of water, which might explain her presence here. She's brought with her some snorkeling equipment as well as other tools useful to pry fossils or precious materials from their surroundings.

It's as she's studying the cavernous length of Meteor Falls that she hears the slightly echoed greeting. The voice is familiar to her, but it's only as she meets the eyes of Dr. Cavalli that she recognizes it. "Dr. Cavalli!" A lopsided smile blooms over her mouth as she warmly greets the scientist. "We have to stop meeting like this. Not the most comfortable of places."

He's actually not that far away from her, and as she makes her way to him she finds yet another familiar figure standing next to the scientist. There's a second in which her brain freezes and she has to search for his name in her memories. "Harold?" She asks, tilting her head slightly to the side as she regards the blond man.

Exchanging each others' names in slight confusion would be quite the awkward event, though Sebastian would be quick to not let the group of three fall to shambles already.

Skyler, hello. I didn't know that the Doctor knew you or vice versa, what a small world!

And Meteor Falls of all places, is this uhh, destiny....? Weiiiiiird.

Chuckling to himself Sebastian would stand still as a dull buzzing would slowly, but surely begin to grow louder and louder. Soon a yellow figure could be seen and eventually Beedrill would arrive on scene, the bug taking position beside Sebastian, the latter's ally named Queenie.

This is Queenie my Beedrill, recently caught her and she's proven to be a huge help on my adventure. I know the buzzing sound is probably going to get hard to get adjusted too, but if you use earbuds it'll be manageable.

Sebastian would chuckle to himself once more, neglecting to put a pair in himself as he had already gone used to the Pokemon's noise or at least for the most part.

But, there was something strange about Queenie the Beedrill.....

It is a relief to realise they're all acquainted; it offers a veneer of credibility to the Rocket duo. It's unfortunate that he's not familiar with who Harold had presented himself as to the treasure hunter. He'll have to be careful to not fracture his ally's cover.

"Uncomfortable?" His laugh echoes in the cavernous space. "I don't know what you mean. This is my kind of place."

Though his tone is light, airy, he does not jest with the words. Meteor Falls was a good place to train, to hunt for fossils, to simply unwind after a long day of work. And, as he and Sebastian had been in the midst of proving, to spar.

A grating hum grows louder as Harold's Beedrill draws close; at first, Gavin worries it might drive away the wildlife, but he's proven wrong as several Pokemon emerge from their respective environments to investigate the sound.

He is drawn immediately to the jingle of dragon scales, gesturing his Metagross forth. It's PSYCHIC blast catches the poor creature off guard, and Gavin readies a pokeball as it lays stunned upon the white stone. Its attempt to drive him off with a scary face proves fruitless, the scientist striding right up to the Hakamo-o and tapping it with a ball.

When the blond man says her name she's immediately able to attach memories to the face. Her frown of concentration is replaced by a faint smile as she gives him a little wave. "Ah yeah, it's a strange coincidence. Small world indeed, ey?" Her eyes shift to Dr. Cavalli momentarily before focusing on Harold again. "You haven't been destroying more trees, I hope?" Her teasing words are drowned out by a sudden buzzing sudden that has the young sailor turning around in confusion.

The Beedrill looks strange so removed from its usual forested habitat. The buzzing has grown quite loud too, but not enough that Skyler has to cover her ears. Fortunately she still seems to be able to hear the others well enough. "I'll manage. Don't worry," she reassures Harold, turning to face Dr. Cavalli.

"I guess it would be." Despite spending most of her time out on the sea, Skyler's parents are historians and she's heard her fair share of stories about this place. "Looking to find more ancient artefacts, Dr. Cavalli?"

There's a large pool of water close to Skyler, and she's aware of a Swanna drawing closer to her, its eyes shinning with territorial aggression. The young woman nudges the Starmie forward and it uses a PSYCHIC to shake it around a little bit. The pokéball Skyler sends its way is almost an afterthought.

"Wait," she suddenly exclaims, looking at the two men, "how do you two know each other?"

Hehh, hehh...Yeah, I've been planting them to make up for it...

It was a half truth, he had planted a couple, but less than five. It was a tedious task after all and the blond was no true gardener even though he did have one back home.

Uhh...

Before he knew it Sebastian was left to watch the other blonds act, seeking out their own Wild Pokemon targets while he himself hung back a tad. In this he was allowed a wide frame visage of the area/unfolding scene to which meant he'd catch sight of the Slowpoke slowly exiting the water nearby too.

OHH!

Belting out with a shocked bellow Sebastian would quickly slap his left hand to his mouth to cover it up while sprinting forward.

Queenie use Night Slash!

It was strange, a Beedrill using Night Slash.

Strange indeed....

In the next few moments the buzzing bug would zig zag about in the air before slashing at the dumb Slowpoke with it's pincers until the Wild Pokemon rolled over onto it's side, tired or defeated mattered not. Quickly thereafter Sebastian would lob a Poke Ball after the Slowpoke while his mind drifted to the mission where he had encountered oscar clayton, starting a alliance off with a very strange beginning.

Almost immediately after capturing the Slowpoke Sebastian would find himself quite spooked as a Dreepy floated through, or rather phased through from the wall nearby. Nigh grinding his teeth the blond would nonetheless aim his hand then at the ghastly dragon, ordering Queenie to attack again.

Queenie, Night Slash again!

Another zig, zag and a dark energy covered stinger would be slashed across the Beedrill's victim/target, proving to be super effective. Lobbing a Poke Ball after this new Pokemon Sebastian would await to see if their efforts bore fruit once more.
