[attr="class","felix i"]"come on," he mumbles, sparing a glance over his shoulder. there's a small grey cat trailing behind him, teetering along on two little legs with her arms awkwardly stuck out for balance. her big eyes don't seem to wander past his silhouette, unblinking and unwavering and frankly, just a little unnerving.

he shoves his hands into his pockets and adds just a smidge of quickness to his step, as if challenging the cat to keep up. she doesn't and he's fading back into a lazy stroll just to not lose the little thing. besides, if he moves too far ahead, she lets out this shrill mewl that has him backing down and choking down waves of guilt.

"bug, do you want to be carried or something?"

not the best thing to say to the espurr, apparently. she holds her head higher, defiant and committed to wandering on her own toe beans. the noise she lets out is halfway between a meow and a scoff and felix lets out a soft chuckle, hands rising in mock defeat. "alright, my bad, bug."

never mess with the espurr. lesson learned...?

anyway, he slows enough to walk side by side with the cat, eyes lazily flicking across the route. he's out here for a reason. whether it's just to take his little bug for a stroll or to add to his tiny team of two, he can't be too certain. oh well. it's nice out and the soft breeze is kinda nice. better than being holed up at home pouring himself into poetry or completely fucking up yet another article, right?
