Ahhhhh SHIT it's that time again mother Fuckers! Hide your bugs, Oscar's back to snatch them into the night! This time he didn't come to play, you either get in the ball or you get DEAD! It's training day for Gavin's Pokemon: Rockruff, the rambunctious pup gifted to him by Emma Wolfe, leads the charge as Gavin and Shieldon follow behind.[break][break]

A lazy amber gaze sweeps the cheerful route. It's bright and smells of flowers, but the proximity to Benoit's gym leads Dark-types to be found here as often as the bugs whose droning hum presents a constant backdrop of noise.[break][break]

"You can have first pick on whatever we find, unless we come across a Tyranitar by chance." Teeth flash in a quick grin. "Then you'll have to fight me for it."

Oscar smirked at Gavin, "You got it boss! Already got mine. I'm here for bugs." And bugs he shall find; quite shortly after that exchange two curious entities would approach. One was some bullshit kricketune and like, whatever it could go fuck itself. But the other?

Oscar narrowed his eyes as a Shuckle sheepishly approached. Ah, his oldest foe. He had memories from his childhood of a Shuckle antagonizing his Wimpod after it tried to drink its juices. These bastards were all the same, selfish and unsympathetic to the plights of others. They were perfect for his team.

"Razor, fuckle that shuckle." Razor roared as he launched himself at the shelled pokemon, firing off Dragon Dart Dreepys. The startled Shuckle Withdrew into its shell, tanking the hits like a champion. Oscar cackled, "Ya see that? These things are fucking incredible! Razor, Astonish!"

Razor swooped in as the Shuckle emerged, and when he was close enough he let out a high pitched screech. The Shuckle was scared shitless, flinching as the dragapult ripped past it at top speed. While it was distracted, Oscar took his chance to throw a pokeball.

Gavin's not a fan of bugs. They don't gross him out, he doesn't find them creepy, but few members of the species could hold his attention. His Golisopod was among the few. The Kricketune that hums in a nearby bush is not.[break][break]

Rockruff's still learning, hasn't quite caught on to Gavin's non-verbal style of direction. It cocks his head at his hand signal, and he sighs.

"Stone Edge, the bug over there."[break][break]

An excited yelp of affirmation alerts Kricketune to its impending demise: though it attempts to fend Rockruff off with its fell stinger, the pup's STONE EDGE proves far more effective.[break][break]

Gavin gives Rockruff an approving nod.

Oscar cackled as his pokeball stopped moving, a successful capture. He picked it up and eyed it longingly, "This thing is gonna make so much berry juice!" He tossed it up and caught it before looking back at Gavin, "You know, fun fact. Shuckle are actually the slowest-OH SHIT!"

Oscar ducked as a Beedrill narrowly sped past his head. Razor sprang into action, meeting the angry wasp as it turned for another swipe. They clashed in mid-air, the beedrill railing on Razor with a flurry of Pin Missles. Razor did not tolerate that for long, following up immediately with his own attack.

Razor's eyes suddenly disappeared, and his body went pale. He opened his mouth, and a swarm of insects flew out to Infest the beedrill. The attack surely wasn't too damaging, but the beedrill was clearly spooked as it flew around wildly before nose diving into the ground.

Before it could get up, Oscar threw a pokeball.

Admittedly, Gavin spots the Beedrill before Oscar does.[break][break]

He feigns ignorance, attention fixed on Oscar, but the facade cracks beneath laughter as his comrade ducks and curses. Gavin tilts his head, tone exuding false innocence: "The slowest what, sorry?"[break][break]

He's grinning, in high spirits as he watches his Shieldon approach a wild creature. It doesn't seem to see the prehistoric rock-type, blundering directly into it before growling and opening its maw to crunch down. Gavin watches without offering direction; it was important for his Pokemon to learn to defend themselves without his input.[break][break]

Shieldon's thick skull PROTECTS it from the Deino's teeth; it rams its IRON HEAD against the dragon and sends it sprawling, lumbering up to perform a final TAKE DOWN. Gavin whistles his approval and throws a ball.
