He just gave her a cheshire grin, leaning his head onto his fist.

"Ya were warned, love. No take-backsies." He said, looking a little too content with himself as he stretched his arms over his head, reclining further into the seat. "Need any help?"

He wasn't too sure of what she was doing or if there was a particular method to it, but he already felt bad just watching her move around stuff while he sat on his ass.

Doug looked everything except ashamed as he watched her move through the office, eyes lingering in all the lovely places— as well as all the not so innocent ones.

He simply winked at her from where he sat, spinning around like a kid on her swivel chair.

"And now you can think of me while at work." He said playfully, blowing her a kiss while rotating in place. "Hope that makes the daily grind easier~."

There's something in her tone that stops him from dismissing the possibility out of hand, even as he sees how believing such a thing is tearing at her from inside.

His brow furrows, his lip curls— but he doesn't argue, for once.

His hand moved to press a digit to the back of her hand, slowly drawing rivers up an down her wrist.

I kisses her then. Pinned to the pillar and red faced like a tamato berry— she was irresistible. Even he, who loved to play with his food, couldn't help himself.

"Are ya?" He asked, squeezing her hand as he settled his head on her shoulder. "Ya sure?"

He loved her; and after loving her for a while, he had come to understand a few of her quirks.

Her insistence on assuming the worse whenever she herself was concerned, was one of her more trouble some quirks.

He rolled his gaze over to Celebi.

"I dunno. Celebi's one of the nicer legendaries." He said simply, nuzzling against her. "I don't think he would've hung around ya, if he knew you were gonna do something... 'terrible'.

"30? Well now. That's more than enough time, wouldn't ya say?" He said, pressing his forehead against hers, pecking at her nose as her glasses slid down.

His hand grew stronger as it slid down her hip, over her skirt, the rest of his body pressed more firmly against hers as he reached up to cradle her cheek.

"Now... who asked for what, again?" He wondered as he slid his thumb over her lower lip.

"Getting cute with me now?" He muttered, blowing hot air over her glasses and fogging up the lenses, his grip growing a bit more form as he turned around. "That's a bad idea."

He moved her against the pillar, his palm planting itself against the stone surface as he leaned in. With her heels, she was just as tall as him— perhaps even taller.

But that would just make it easier to kiss her.

"How long until our reservation?" He asked suddenly, his free hand gliding up and down her hip.

He pulled her back , his arm wrapping firmly around her waist whilst he was still leaned against the pillar, his chest firm against her back.

His lips pressed against her cheek, then the corner of her lip.

"Ah, forgot what I was gonna say. Never mind."

"Maybe." His hand glowed a neon magenta against her, a soothing cool attempting to flood her system. "I'm qualified to treat all wounds, though."

His gaze moved to follow Yuina's, falling upon the little prince of the forest.

He hummed, leaning his head against her shoulder.

"Sure do. That's Celebi— Lele's dance partner." He said, humming thoughtfully. "He's the prince of the forest. Uuuh... think he can travel through time? Ms. cait alfric used to be his avatar."

He thought he really should visit the woman and her family more often...

"Whaaat?" He intoned innocently, batting his eyelashes at her.

Not that it could be seen in the bloody dark. "I'm just saying. It is conveniently placed, right?"

Not nearly enough, as it turned out.

The very air around them shifted. An unnatural pull nearly dragged Doug off the couch he had claimed.

He was back on his feet in a heartbeat, moving closer to Yuina as his Orthworm wrapped around them.

His gaze narrowed at the dark, getting used to the pitch black. His hand raised, digit pointed forth in a finger gun.

He shoots brightly lit scale towards the other end of the office. It's radius of illumination cut through the dark as it advanced.

Revealing the coiling, slithering wiring dragging along the floors, advancing towards them. Sharp crackles of lightning travel freely through the wiring as the entity controlling them realized it had been discovered.

Doug didn't see the main body, but instinct and memory worked all the same. He moved to stand in front of Yuina, snarling.

"Xurkitree."

They were both ill equipped to fight that one. His hand moved south to grab another net ball.

"Should've brought Garo out 'fore jumping in."

Darn, that would've been funnier.

"Eh. Why are any of us here?" He asked her, shrugging his shoulders with a smile as he leaned back against something.

He then made what he hoped was a funny face.

"No. really. Why."

It really took a peculiar sort of folk to stay in Hoenn, in spite of everything, specially when they had every means to just leave.

His hand squeezed hers, his funny face quaking and growing a redder as she leaned in ever so slightly closer, bringing those big, pretty eyes of hers close enough for examination.

He blushed, his gaze looking everywhere and anywhere.

"I... Ahem." He cleared his throat, pursing his lips as he glanced aside, cheeks red. "I don't wanna be anywhere but here. With you."
