It does sound crazy – a superhero running around and actually performing superhuman feats. Even if this were a world full of pokemon, they’re the ones who should be performing humanly impossible feats – like that slowking.

He invisibly arches a brow at Ji-hoon’s remark. ”You seem to be more lucky than a magnet of trouble considering you got out of that situation a second time.” he retorts with a hint of sarcasm in his tone.

Continuing to hose down the fire without really looking at it, he simply stares back at the dark-haired man almost vacantly thanks to the helmet. ”That’s what keeps things interesting, isn’t it?”

The need for money is life’s common issue. Hendrix can only nod in agreement towards the girl’s plight. ”Well, seems like you can chalk that as a job well done then.” he quips back, eyeing the school of corsola as they’ve swim about.

Seeing as they’re generally safe thanks to the Sharpedo and Carvahna swimming about and scaring away any would-be predators, Hendrix begins to descend up with the swift shark.

”Well, no need to hang around, I can get back to land pretty easily. It was nice meeting you, Plank.” he says rather warmly, still finding the young woman to be like a little sister.

Unlike his brother, Dakota seems more amicable and social as he’s quick to acknowledge him. Hendrix beams as a result, finding him to be somewhat more charming.

”I really do get that sentiment.” he says, nodding in agreement towards the man’s preference to working alone. He does moonlight around at night alone as a vigilante, after all – even if he’s allied himself with Kazimir Wynter, the Pokkenger.

Digging out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, he taps at it to try and pull one out, though much to his disappointment, he’s out. ”I specialize in engineering and tinkering. How about you? Are you in the science field like your brother?”

Seeing the man put away his phone, the helmeted vigilante flashes the man a thumbs up. ”You can call me the Pokken Rider.” he says with unbridled confidence – his name paying homage to Hoenn’s local Pokkenger.

Though he doesn’t realize the man’s affiliation with Rocket, he doubts the video will be very useful towards anyone; after all, Lulu Flint’s already seen his suit in action.

As the fire is quickly brought under control, he finds himself staring at the man. ”And what about you? Last time I saw you, you were trying to find your way out of a cave, now you’re trying to put out a fire.”

The sudden flirting is nearly enough to pause him, but he quickly retorts: ”I’m saving you, aren’t I?”

He doesn’t seem to mind or care that he’s being recorded in this instance; after all, there’s a fire that he has to deal with! Pressing his hands together again, he fires out another heavy Hydro Pump, dowsing another portion of fire in the process.

His helmet’s eyes briefly glow a bright red in the process. ”And what about you? Get stuck in anymore tricky situations like last time?”

Threat assessment

His grin is filled with satisfaction as his expression slightly shifts in a GOT EM! kind of moment. He pulls away the cigarette from his lips, letting it hang between his fingers as he properly eyes the woman from top to bottom.

”So you admit it. You are her.” he tauntingly says as if his assumptions weren’t already a matter of the fact.

The former Interpol officer inwardly scoffs at the woman’s naivety and her admitted ignorance towards the trouble that the Foundation as caused throughout Unova. Quietly dropping the cigarette, he stomps it out before reaching down to pick it back up.

”Yeah? So what have you done to help then?” he retorts rather viciously. ”Hoenn still seems like a shit show considering. And the news network doesn't mention you.” he says, harping back to the chaos that’s ensued thus far.

Overlooking the blaze swallowing Sootopolis really makes a man question whether hoenn should just be called burnin' as freak fires seem to be the norm within the tropical region. He spots a familiar face fighting against the sudden inferno by summoning rain through his slowking. It's effective at preventing the fire from spreading, but it doesn't solve the immediate issue.

Spotting a nearby couple escaping the park, the Pokken Rider is quick to ALLY SWITCH with the pair, suddenly appearing before Chu-e Choi with a flash of neon yellow light. "Allow me to assist." he says, taking a pose as if he were about to fire off an Aura Sphere of some kind.

A ball of water begins to form between his palms and thrusting them outwards, a powerful HYDRO PUMP bursts out to dowse one part of the fire.

The sudden flash fire didn't do any good for his body as he wracked with pain - a proper backlash for expunging heat that the suit couldn't handle. Probably experiencing some first and second degree burns, he can only wince quietly as the man looks back at him in both awe and fear.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." he says confidently while trudging through the pain. Eyeing the pile of ash through his helmet, he turns back to the man and his pokemon. "Let's get you out of the cave while we still can."

As steam continues to evaporate from his suit, he quickly leads the man out and once they're in a safe space, he salutes the man with both his index and middle finger pressed together and takes off sprinting at a much faster pace than even some of the greatest sprinters in the world.

His experience as an Interpol officer and as the Pokken Rider has given him nearly a second sense when trying to tell whether someone’s trying to deflect. As if pretending he didn’t hear her defense or even caring about it, Hendrix bluntly continues. ”Yeah, yeah. I remember. You had a darker hair color, but you were totally on their billboards and flyers.”

Reaching his hand out to stroke his chin, he slightly smiles. ”Speaking of, I recall that the Foundation did some unsavory things back in Unova. So what’re you doing in Hoenn then?” he asks, continuing to heckle the woman.

While Hendrix continues to follow after the girl, he does continue to maintain a fair distance to keep people from interfering with his questions.

Unlike the professor he knows, the younger man before him is surprisingly jittery, though he does manage to compose himself rather quickly. Hendrix nods and grins when he mentions his relationship with zenji jabami.

”I guess this really is a small world.” he nonchalantly quips while patting his Charizard on the neck. The small little vulpix doesn’t go unnoticed as he smiles warmly at it – his hand an indicator that the orange winged lizard means no harm to the tiny little fox.

Pulling his arm away, he reaches out to offer the dark-haired man a handshake. ”Nice to meet’cha Dakota. I’m Hendrix… Any chance you’ll be working at the institute?” he curiously asks in reference to his brother’s workplace.

Leading the Charizard down to the shore, he spots an eerily familiar man. If it weren’t for the fact that he’s managed to keep himself hinged throughout the week, he’d swear he’s hallucinating. ”Zenji?” he calls out to the man as he slowly approaches.

The man’s overall stature reminds him of Evol’s professor, but as he comes close enough to properly examine the man, he realizes that he’s incorrect, though their resemblance is uncanny. ”Wait, you’re not Zenji. Why do I feel like I’ve seen you before?” he ask, as he hasn’t been properly introduced to the man before.

Six days have passed since they’ve arrived on this deserted island. Thankfully, Hendrix was smart enough to bring a Charizard with him – otherwise, it’d be more of a hassle to try and power through things.

He’s not regretful for having signed himself on; after all, it’s a good training experience if he wants to succeed as the Pokken Rider. Cracking open a tough berry, he hands half of it to the winged lizard who promptly eats it from his hand.

Hendrix gives a small grin as he takes a bite out of it, letting out a low sigh. ”Last day, buddy, we’ll get through this.” he says with a tinge of optimism. He’d be lying if he didn’t miss society and a warm shower.

While every other pokemon busied themselves with analyzing the data from the outside, Porygon was used to looking over programing from within. Using its ability to become a computer program, it sat within, accelerating and finetuning the program to proper count.

After all, that’s its typical job when working with the Pokken Rider.
