“WAIT IS THAT…” Elinor contains herself for a moment, as the surprise washes over her. How did this game know about Land Hoenn, how did this game know Regidrago was there? So many questions. For a brief moment she pondered if Amor Rose had been involved, but she pushed the thought away.

Highly unlikely. She cooled down.

Presented with more choices, she pondered what she should do. She could attempt to fight. But that was not what the game was about. The game was about to gain favor with this character.

Surely there was only one option here that would do so.

She tapped OPTION NR. 4 ‘Attempt to sacrifice yourself to protect Dionysus’

Elinor grabbed a snack while the scene unfolded. The Sygna suit looked cute, and it honestly made her think about getting one of her own. But those thoughts were quickly pushed away as the next part of the scene unfolded.

Her attention in particular was grabbed by the appearance of her AI doppelganger.

Oh this’ll be good.

But alas that was not the focus right now. She was given more options to pick from and well. As she pressed OPTION NR. 2 ‘ Capture them’ she pondered if her AI counterpart would think the same.

It seemed they had come to an agreement. Unfortunately for Elinor Chu-e was quick to divulge that he had no information to share.

But even such agreeableness was worth something. “No, You’ve given me much more than I honestly expected when I walked in here.”

His agreeableness should be commended, perhaps even rewarded.

“And because of that if there’s a question or perhaps even a small favor, then I’d be willing to fulfill either, should it be within my means.”

Of course Elinor still had to walk through red-tape to do the latter.

“It’s treating me about as well as it can.” Elinor admitted.

“The work is rough, lots of meetings, paperwork. Boring stuff like that. But I can’t complain about the company” A small tired chuckle escaped her for a moment. The very thought of it all made her weary.

But before long she pulled up the facade once more returning to her bright chipper look as she returned her attention to Matias.

“How’s the Elite Four treating you?”

The sound of cheerful Chatot songs spread through the office. Though if one listened closely it was possible to realize that the Chatot was improvising imitating the voice of its trainer who currently was hard at work filling forms and making decisions.

As always sitting prim and proper in her chair, she took a moment to swipe away a lock of pink hair that had danced in front of her. But before she could return to work, she heard the sound of a knock on her office door.

“Come in.” Elinor called.

But the Chatot was quick to fly over and open the door for the Young Gym Leader.

“Oh, hello Josh. What brings you here?” She had an inclination but didn’t want to assume. She gestured for the young man to take a seat while the Chatot flew back on its perch behind her.

With the Karrablast out of sight Elinor could continue on her way. But the way she picked meant that it didn’t take long before she stumbled upon another Pokémon.

This time it was a Roselia with an odd coloration. And it seemed eager to fight.

Luckily she had brought just the right one. She summoned her Scizor quickly and the battle began.

Petal dances VS X-Scissors, however, left much to be desired.

The battle was over almost before it had begun. Roselia was defeated.

Elinor threw one of the Safari balls at it. Hoping to catch it without further ado.

The Noivern backed off at the gentle boop of its snout. But stuck close to watch. Its gaze fixated upon the plucking of strings.

Elinor’s gaze met with the musician. But she did not move closer, not at first. But when Niky began to give the Noivern a lesson in how to play.

The Noivern enjoyed the attention, watching and most important, listening carefully to each note the string pulled produced. It even tried to touch one very carefully, well aware that its claws could easily cause irreparable damage to the instrument.

MISSION: BOND-BRIDGE
LOCATION: Rustboro City

The Carpet bombing continued. The Celesteela flew unhindered or unopposed through the air destroying everything in their wake as they intended to blow the Distortion away.

Elinor heard the voice of Alexei Ivanov through their communications device. “No sign of them yet…” Elinor didn’t get to finish as a Celesteela with an unusual cargo flew right past them. This would’ve been a real good moment for a slow-motion shot.

Wait, was that a person? The look had been brief, but as she turned her head it certainly seemed to be. With a quick gentle tap Elinor turned the Hisuian Braviary around and set into pursuit of the flying one carrying Lasciel Elis.

“Scratch that, I think I might’ve found them.” Elinor informed. “You two keep an eye on the Celesteela.”

While she hadn’t intended to bark orders like that, she figured it might be wise for them to keep on eye on the destructive squad that by now was just about to reach the distortion.

The Hisuian Braviary was quick to catch up to the human-carrying Celesteela, positioning itself such that it would be rather easy to jump onto it. "You look like you could need a hand!" Elinor would yell, though wind. wingbeat and general Celesteela noises, would work against her voice.

The Flabebe was left to its own devices as Elinor continued on.

It didn’t take her long before she stumbled upon yet another Pokemon that held no interest to her, even though it looked to have a fancy coloration, it was still only a Karrablast.

She was certain there were better options out there, and so left it be.

Mt. Chimney rose high as always. But that didn’t halt Elinor from scaling its walls and walking its roads.

Clad in proper hiking gear she made her way ever onward. She was here to search the mountain in hope perhaps that she could stumble upon one of the many Legendary Pokémon that roamed unclaimed. Certain reports certainly seemed to suggest that something had been spotted in this general direction. Little it may be to go on, she owed Hoenn at least this much.

Accompanied by her Talonflame that flew high above. Its gaze carefully combed through the landscape in case of danger.

But a singular bird Pokémon was not her only companion on this day. No, she had dragged along with her Laurence Anderson, hoping that the presence of another Legendary’s Avatar (And perhaps even the bird itself, should Lars decide to drag it out of its NEET-cave) might rouse whatever was here into action.

Starving, eh? It sure seems to be eating a lot. She thought, remembering the news of the havoc it was causing in Galar. If that was not enough to sate it. Then there was nothing that could possibly do that. "I suppose that is something..." She mused. She'd have prefered something more tangible, but beggars couldn't be choosers.

“That is where we differ. For I would rather see it dead than alive simply because of the danger it poses.” Elinor stated, trying to downplay her wish for vengeance. The mere thought of its continued existence was like a gentle gust to the embers smoldering within her.

“But I can’t deny that it would be satisfying to see it pay for all that it has done.” She admitted. And should she or someone else manage to sway Chu-e to their cause, then Necrozma would be a powerful asset.

Elinor had taken a moment to visit her direct family. An unannounced visit was sure to bring much joy.

Alas none of them had been home, not even her smallest sibling Morrigan. Honestly, that had surprised her the most. She’d figured the girl would’ve just come home from school at this time. But it seemed not to be the case.

And so Elinor, accompanied by her Noivern, drifted around Rustboro City for a break, knowing full well that The League would demand her attention once more soon enough.

It was during this drifting. That she heard the sound of music or at the least someone plucking at strings. It caught her attention enough for her to halt her walking and gaze upon the musician.

Alas her Noivern wasn’t as considerate and moved up close, perhaps too close, clearly curious at the instrument and how it worked.

Canid Pokémon? She wondered if this game was simply just a game or if there was something else behind it.

Either way she was given work to do and as the in-game assistant of Dahlia good she would do it.

She quickly pressed OPTION NR 1 ‘A Vespiquen Sygna Suit’ fashionable and stylish and well, a fair bit extra, which was only appropriate for the commissioner.
