The sounds of battle echo through the the area, ash and soot rising as more of the powder falls to the ground. By the end of the dispute, swarms of Scraggy begin to scatter through untouched grass, and in the middle of it all stands a single woman with two pokemon by her side, a Sylveon and a Mightyena.

One final wave sprints through the grass, two Scraggy with a burning vengeance lunging towards the woman.

She'd simply turn her back, retrieving a thermos from her bag and begin pouring herself a drink, her pokemon quickly handling the Scraggy with ease, the two dropping just as easily as they came.



With a final sip of her drink, she pours the remaining liquid onto the plants, continuing on her way.

“And why do you think that is exactly Miss Collins?” She questions near immediately after the womans worded concerns.

“Convenience.” She answers confidently, her hands reaching for the tablet, swiping through a premade slideshow of pictures, a map of hoenn displayed and points marked with a digital pen.

“Our current location is here in Lilycove, and while yes, there are many that go out and about the city, your daycare is based in only one location.”

Her fingers reach for the screen, zooming in on Lilycove as a whole before circling an area near a pokeball marker, tapping on it a few times as she looked to Avery.

“What we plan to do is create another daycare within the city somewhere around here, where the location we’re currently within is not. With this you will have more income and there will be more convenience for your customers.”

Reeling back, she would continue speaking, only a breath separating her sentences as she spoke them aloud.

“This is the approach we plan to take for all major cities, Slateport, Mauville, Rustboro, and so on and so forth, with two being in each. We will also base locations along a few select routes between smaller towns and cities as to further convenience those along their commutes. If you accept this offer Collins daycares will be almost as common as pokemon centers; we might even be able to collaborate with centers and provide daycare services for a fee within them to save on space and finances.”

Marie adjust herself once more, sitting fully upright as she concluded her plans.

“Of course this is all simply wishful thinking until a deal is made... Would you like to hear anything more of our proposed arrangements?”

Her expression remains calm, completely professional, when the going ons of the region had been mentioned. This was no news to her, nor would it be news to any other. Rampaging beast causing a ruckus all about hoenn catching the eyes of those who even so much as glimpsed at the news or peeped to the skies.

She hummed in acknowledgement of her words, taking a sip of her water and giving a light nod for her to continue; she seemed to have more to say even with the brief pause she allowed.

Once she finished speaking, Marie gave a thankful smile, once more nodding before she began to speak.

“I’m sure Miss Lupin would be more than willing to accept these conditions, so I will relay your words to her as soon as we finish up here. With that being said, I would like to continue as if we already have her blessing, eliminating the need for any further needless meetings and wasting of time.”

“We are a corporation Miss Abbiati, and while your endorsement is greatly appreciated I would still like to discuss the possibility of gaining a profit from the collaboration of your family's business and our company.”

For a moment she rifled through her bag, a few seconds passing before she presented a smart tablet, setting it on the table for the two of them to view, swiping through visuals of her plans as she explained them.

“As I’ve already said, we at Lupin would like to expand your reach of artisanal pearls, shipping them to other regions in order to create a bigger profit with them. But what I had failed the mention are the sights we had set on Galar.”

Just as Olivia had, Marie would take a moment to examine the one opposite of her, but only for a second as she began to swipe through her tablet, bringing up a Galarian map and pointing to a lake.

“Our sources tell us the lakes of Galar are filled with natural resources, the main ones we’ve set our eyes on being pearls. We plan to purchase an area of this lake here in the wild area and create a reserve to prevent overfishing of the aquatic wildlife as well as harvest pearls as they are presented. The abundance of Shellder and Cloyster willing to abscond of their pearls if quite prevalent there, so much so that trainers can find them without even looking.”

“And on the topic of Galar, I’m sure you are quite aware of the reefs in said region and the unfortunate circumstances that have befallen them? While it was not originally planned, I’m sure Miss Lupin would be ready to aid in restoring these reefs in the process of making a profit by introducing non-Galarian Corsola into the reserve we had planned to create.”

As she spoke she presented visual cues alongside her words, circling areas on the map with her finger as well as setting marks on the screen to visualize points of interest.

“I’m sure your family had planned on acting on one, or maybe both of these options that I have presented to you but we at Lupin Inc. figure that it would be better to collaborate when it comes to something like this, especially when it comes to the wellbeing of pokemon.”

A sweet smile forms on her lips, eyes locked on Olivia’s, unwavering in their calm intensity for even a moment.

The pure empty-headedness of this man forced her eyes to roll, the woman feeling them detach from their nerves as she did.

A hand approached her face, rubbing both of her eyes as she straighten them back, a sigh escaping as she tossed them up.

"Fine... Fine... I want sushi."

And with that she allowed him to lead the way.

"What do you mean by that?"

Her words were defensive, the thought of him accusing her of being crazy or some other such nonsense forcing a reaction out of her.

"Just because I'm more perspective of my surroundings of you doesn't mean I'm hearing voices. And if you think a random school of wishiwashi appearing out of nowhere is normal than maybe you're the one that needs some looking at."

She turns to the dusky alleyway, the once pitch dark entrance now fully visible, the voice that called out to her seemingly disappearing with the smog.

"Interesting."

She thought, pulling out her phone and adding this location to a point of interest for the future.

"Have you encountered anything weird like this lately?"

She stood dumbfounded as a hoard of Wishiwashi suddenly appeared. "What?" Being all she uttered before the pokemon attacked, a hydro pump shooting their way quickly.

Marie would quickly act, releasing a Gogoat, the pokemon charging at the mass of fish without a second thought, horn leeching the Wishiwashi and sending a handful of its body flying, the now forlorn wisiwashi flopping about wildly.

Marie couldn't help but cringe at the sight, looking over to Cadis for conformation on what he wanted to do.

A weird question of course but he was a weird guy, but should could have sworn she heard somethin-

Before she could even finish speaking the fridge door would shoot open, a sudden blast of arctic air escaping into the room, food and other such necessities spilling out into the floor at the sudden jolt.

"What the fuck?"

She whispered under her breath before the rotom turned its attention towards her, and with it, the fridge. It would only take a moment of silence before it spewed forth more frigid air in her direction, the cold encasing her face and hair in a thin layer of frost.

She's stand in silence, stunned at the sudden revelation as she looked to Cadis in disbelief.

"So... you weren't just making that up then..."

A moment would go by and the Rotom would exit the fridge, tipping it over in the process. She would bite her lip, studying the scene for a moment then wipe the frost from her eyes.

"We should do something about that."

An astute observation to be acted on with haste.

"Cherry, get them out of here."

And with that simple command, the Mightyena began its hunt, rushing to and fro, only baring its fangs when one refused to move at the simple sight of the dog.

When everything was said and done Marie gave a thanks to Cadis before returning to her previous business.

Yes, yes, good good. He was automatically doing what he needed to to stay out of her way like a good little boy. If she were his mother Marie would be proud, the young man busying himself without the need of her own supervision. It nearly brings a tear to her eyes.

It wasn't until she felt a zap of static that she came to her senses, remembering that she still had a job to do, which was clean up this mess of course.

And she would do so diligently, a static-like giggle echoing in the background.

"Do you have a lawnmower?"

She asked out to Cadis as she cleaned.

As the lights flipped on Hypno scurried about the basement, hiding behind single standing shelves, bags of fertilizer, and anything else they could fit themselves behind.

She sighs, looking at the pitiful pokemon and sending out a Mightyena.

"You can start by helping me get these guys out of here asap."

Her trust was not easily obtained, and he would need to do more than assist her on a few errands to properly earn it. But, being here currently is more than she could count on Sylias for, so he already had a good start.

"They don't look like the'd pose a threat to us but we need to get them out of here."

She hands over a few empty pokeballs to him, waving for the Mightyena to stand at the ready.

"I'll scare them out of here and you catch as many as you can while their backs are turned. This way we can catch them for our underlings in need of a pokemon while also getting them out of here. Two birds one stone."

A half-hearted response given as she hastily tightened up what could only be considered his living room to the best of her ability.

"Maybe you should try the bathroom, Rotoms like to hide in light bulbs and stuff."

A ploy to buy herself a little more time, obviously.
