"So multiple places then?" mercutio questioned, tilting his head slightly.

A lot of going north it sounded like. Though he at least new the routes that the man spoke of. Route 110, the city of Maulville, and then Route 111? He hadn't gone looking in either area, so it would be a new experience going to those places. So he was just going to have to give it a go.

"Alright, I'll give those places a try." mercutio replied, a small nod leaving him.

It was the only thing he could think to say. And honestly, he had nothing to lose if he went there.

"Decorating is fun, sometimes I let the young masters help with that part." Mercutio replied.

He looked at the photo that was shown to him, seeing the attempts of jigglypuff macrons. It was a good attempt, as macarons were hard to make already. They were very finicky and required you to do the steps just right.

"Nothing wrong with sharing the treats you make." Mercutio answered. "I don't eat them that much, I do like to. They just prove a little hard to manage due to..."

With that, he gestured to his underbite, the two pointy teeth that stuck out as well. It was hard to clean them when some things liked to get in the crevases between teeth. And since he served a household, he found himself needing to at least have a clean smile a lot of the time. So he tried to take as little risk as he could. The waitress seemed to arrive and he caught the look she gave him. Still he stayed quiet as he sat there, letting the other order first.

"I'll take a plain double cheeseburger with fries and a glass of water." Mercutio added.

Chu-e Choi

"No, I'm from Hoenn. It is...required of me to be more formal when addressing others." Mercutio answered. "A habit that persists outside of the household.."

Indeed it was just habit and a required thing for him to do in the Apricot household. So it remained even outside of the household. IT probably wasn't a good thing. Perhaps he should try to not...always do that? But at the same time he'd been seen doing it all the time anyway, what was the point in doing otherwise?

Mercutio didn't even bother looking at the two pokemon that appeared. Senon was already catching the one and honestly, Mercutio wasn't quite in the mood now to try and see if something appealed to him. Maybe in a few moments once the subject changed, he'd be more in the mood?

"Ah I see now." Mercutio replied, giving a nod.

It was a piece of home to the other...that made sense for him wanting to order it. Not a bad reason either. He was certain that Chu-e was aware that it might not be as good as if it was made back in Sinnoh. Still, Mercutio was happy that the other was looking forward to their meal.

Their face seemed to lit up when he mentioned the baking and honestly, it made a weak chuckle leave him. It had just amused the larger man that baking was going to be a form of conversation while they were in a little dinner of sorts. Nothing wrong there, it was just amusing in his mind. It also meant that he wasn't going to have to mention the illegal fighting he did underground. Now Mercutio wasn't one to snoop at someone else's phone, so he only looked if the other showed him a picture of a treat or something specific.

"Mainly sweets and treats for the young masters, they're strong choclate and vanilla fans. But I've managed to get one of them to like orange creame in a treat." Mercutio replied, a happy smile coming to his face as he sat there. "Course they still love cookies the most."

Chu-e Choi

"I'm just...saying the limited knowledge I know in order to help..." Mercutio admitted.

Her hand wraps around his wrist easily and pulls him along, could he have resisted? Yes. But that would be horribly rude of him considering he had already agreed to help her out if he was able to. Since he already agreed, it was only right that he went along with her.

"I see...I had only heard about the contest and not much about what it was for." Mercutio replied. "They are right, many people are still affected. I'm happy to see that this wishes to have a positive influence."

Oh the many times that contests were secretly not for anything positive.

"No we didn't really get the chance to do so." Mercutio admitted, adjusting his hold on the Kricketot and he examined the broken skin on his arm.

It wasn't bad enough to put concern into him. Yes he would wash the wound out when he got a chance but he wasn't going to fret over it for now. It was a simple injury that would probably heal in a day or so. The man waited for the introduction of the small igglybuff to end, allowing the small whistling tune to be repeated. Even the kricketot made a few jingle sounds, wising to imitate the music around them. It as quite amusing.

"Mercutio Kyle." Mercutio introduced himself after Senon. "Pleasure to meet you, Sir Game."

It was a interesting name, certainly one he hadn't heard of before. He caught a glimpse of the other bug pokemon but he didn't pay it anymind. He already had the kricketot in his arms and honestly, he wasn't sure on if he wanted a second one already.

"It would strengthen it." Mercutio agreed, giving a nod. "Which is why care is needed when making any sauce, the amount used would affect how much the flavor gets empowered but what else in the dish always plays a role in that too. After all, a meat pie doesn't just have meat in it. You can put vegetables in there that can help balance the boldness of the point noir as it soaks into the meat."

A surprised expression came to his face as the offer was given. Well....that....Mercutio didn't know if he'd be that helpful to her in the way she needed. Sure he knew a little bit about the matter but he never really did a fancy dish before.

"I'm not a marvelous cook..." mercutio admitted. "I know a few things but probably not near your level of expertise...however I'd be willing to help you out in other ways that I can."

It didn't hurt to be honest with her on this. He wasn't a Chef. He had heard about the competition and while there was a thought for a moment to join in with some sort of pastry or sweet, he voted against it. So many other people deserved to take part. Maybe just helping someone out with their dream was a good enough thing to do?

Seeing her agree without a fight was...surprising. In truth, he expected her to resist. To throw some sort of words at him with the meaning of 'don't touch me' or 'I'm fine, leave me alone!' Instead, she agreed simply. So he took create care to scoop her up. Her legs would dangle over his right arm and he used his left arm to support her back. Keeping his hands away from her to show that he had no ulterior motives by doing this. He was only doing this to help her as he knew that twisted foot wasn't going to let her walk even if he offered to support her. Immedeatly he started walking, taking the pace careful but he was doing fast walking. Not wanting to risk her injury getting worse or causing more pain if he had started to run. So fast walking was the best thing he could think to do.

A quiet and low voice came to him, a thanks that if other people were around, he wouldn't have heard. Thankfully they were out on a empty route, silence was all around them.

"No problem." Mercutio replied.

The injury probably wouldn't have happened if she hadn't come across him. Well...nothing he could do about it now other than help her get to a doctor.

A pie huh? Well then, that could complicate thing a bit.

"Well Merlot, Malbec, and Caberent Sauvignon all can help with the savory side. These do help compliment the bold flavors of the dish and often they're already a earthy/ pepper flavor." Mercutio suggested. "Skiddo meat tends to absorb the flavor very well when cooked with wine sauces...though I'm not sure if that would change in pie form.."

This was honestly the only thing he could think of to suggest at the moment. Again, he wasn't...good with the fancy cooking. Sweets and deserts were one thing, dishes for meals was just...a complicated matter.

"In general, look for something of the red wine variety in the point noirs if you don't fancy either of those options.

A few blinks left Mercutio as he watched the other man do a trick move on the spearow. Honestly this was..surprising to him. Never had he seen a trainer use a rock to distract a pokemon; by having it hit the bird, and then throw a pokeball while it was getting ready to unleash it's fury. It was certainly different but, Mercutio didn't know what to say in response to it. Instead, he heard the loud screech of another bird pokemon, causing him to tense as well as the small bug in his arms.

Sure enough, a larger bird appeared. Spreading it's large wings out as it dived at him. This pokemon wasn't afraid of humans it seemed...fearless even, as it was going for the bug pokemon with Mercutio's grasp. It didn't care that someone was holding it...this bird was brave enough to try and risk getting in contact with humans to get a meal. Had it been following the clefable and kricketot? Possible. As Mercutio took a side step and raised a arm to shield his new party memember, the sharp talons hit his arm. Tearing the fabric and causing some blood to leave his arm.

Alright then...if this bird was going to be this foolish and willing for a fight, maybe he could use that. As the Staravia flew higher into the air, getting ready to make a come back. Mercutio unleashed his granbull, the purple dog landed firmly on her hindpaws with a loud bark leaving her. She glanced to Mercutio, already noticing the small trickle of blood and the small pokemon he was holding firm to his chest; the bug making scared sounds as it tried to find a way to hide closer against the man despite him already shielding it.

"Maybelle, wait for my signal..." Mercutio instructed, his green eyes never moving from the bird as it circled above them.

A loud screech left it as it dived down and the granbull growled lowly. Adjusting her stance as she waited for the order to be given. The bird was diving headfirst, it's talons close to it's body....just a few...

"Headbutt, now!!" Mercutio ordered, the granbull launched itself upward with all it's might.

Due to how fast their divebomb was becoming, the staravia attempted to pull up. HOwever, doing so slowed it some as they tried to fight the wind tunnel they made for themself. Allowing for the thick skull of the granbull to strike part of their chest but mostly the underside of their neck. The bird let out a cough like sound as it spiraled out of control. Slamming into the stone ground. Pulling out a pokeball, Mercutio threw it at the bird. Hoping to get it into the ball before it could cause more trouble.
