AN OPEN INVITATION has circulated on social media, inviting all to join ritual in their first official game night. it’s questionably vague. perhaps this is strategic. maybe it’s reason to be cautious. while some express excitement, and confirm ‘going’, others opt to comment in reference to last year’s event:[break][break]
’don’t forget a fire extinguisher!’ says one. ’good luck!’ reads another. additionally, more comment on the ’weird change in atmosphere lately’. ritual’s become ’sketchy’, and 'is it even still under the same ownership?’[break][break]
 while criminal types in the know tend to take to the speakeasy below (its entrance hidden within the complex tunnel system), many have opted to enter through the main doors instead to participate in the public event. [break][break]
bartender Caprice Isaac , should he be working, will find himself tending to a much larger crowd than usual—but other new faces are present behind the bar as well.[break][break]
 pool is free. fancy pizza has been ordered. guests and their pokémon are mingling, many on the various black leather seating, playing cards on low tables. cigars smoke from sparkling crystal ashtrays. [break][break]
it’s a fancy lounge with an old appeal, and while the drinks are especially cheap this evening, make no mistake: the top shelf is tippy top. treat yourself.[break][break]
bar owner virgil roach approaches a microphone, a cubone at his feet. behind him on the wall hangs a banner, announcing: 'CLUB APOGEE, OPENING THIS SUMMER. BOTTLE SERVICE. VIP ROOMS. INFINITY POOL. ACROSS FROM THE GOLDEN PYROAR CASINO & RESORT IN BEACHFRONT SLATEPORT.’[break][break]
 the screech of feedback stops many conversations, and his drawl follows over the speakers, ”howdy, ya’ll. hope yer havin’ a good night, ‘n came ready t’ play some games. we’ll be startin’ in a few minutes, so getchyer drinks ‘n get ready for some charades.”[break][break]
he replaces the microphone and steps away, cubone following as he sips a whiskey.
RULES GUIDELINES INSTRUCTIONS
- i will be posting the first game soon.
- you do not have to participate in any games to be in this thread! furthermore, if you do participate, you are not required to join every game to ‘stay in’. feel free to skip.
your characters may use one pokemon (no switching) to help you in your games. more on this later. you may now switch your pokémon!- you may post multiple times during a round, however, you won’t need to roll after your first post.
- you should keep track of your total score in the bottom of your post for everyone to see.
- pay attention to the rules as we move along. i will be adding new instructions for each round.
- there are no sign-ups. jump in whenever.
OTHER NOTES
- there will be a prize for winning each round, and a grand prize at the end of the event for whoever has accumulated the most points total across all games.
- games will be one round each, and last about 3-5 days ideally, depending on my workload for school. games will be announced as i post them.
- each round is a single game being played together by all characters involved icly. have fun with interactions!
