his toxin was a strong one. it was surprising that fernando had little shift in his equilibrium or motor function. this guy was just the ripe for the picking. a rare flower among the common! before he could move forward mugen would come to be binded. "neat trick!" he'd call out another pokemon: LIEPARD.

FURY SWIPE was used to sever the vine that ensnared him!

"oi, get in there salamence!" the dragon-type would continue to clash with the tapu fini's mystical water. steam erupting between the pair. "haha, he's busy with his own fight." that just meant it was time for liepard to play. with LIMBER movement. it would maneuver to aid the seviper in battle. the playful liepard prepared a NIGHT SLASH for Tapu Fini wheras seviper prepared a POISON TAIL for FERNANDO SILPH.

though, quickly, with a shout he would say, "swap!" the liepard would aim for FERNANDO SILPH and seviper the tapu fini from the back.

mugen is amazed by fernando's "resilience" to the poison.

salamance continues to hold the surf in place with his flamethrower for a little while longer.
liepard is summoned, uses fury swipes on the vines. then rushes in to help seviper.
prepares to use night slash on tapu fini and seviper poison tail on FERNANDO SILPH--at first.
but he orders the pair to swap targets.

not battle execute alter. fernando has grown stronger!!!!

he'd jump away from the salamance who was met with an unexpected assault. a man who was all about action was a man worth his time. "don't be so modest now! seviper, sniping haze!" a gas of soot was sharply shot out of its throat. creating a black fog.

and then there was salamance.

the dragon was was hurdled back through the fire by a great force of wind. it would now be currently residing on the other side of the wall of flames. but, without warning or tell, a flamethrower was shot through that said wall in return toward the direction it would recall seeing the tapu fini. rather it hit or miss was not of the dragon's concern. but it craved combat, especially with one as powerful as the legendary itself. it would come to soar into the sky. preparing to release a second flamethrower from above.

as the battle between tapu fini and salamance commenced. there was more to be had, done, and said between the former councilman and the ranger killer.

this "sniping haze". as it was called, held a hidden secret. befitting of one who got paid to kill his enemy by any means. this attack looked normal to the naked eye...at first. but in the midst of spewing this black fog. there was a glint that couldn't be missed. this said glint would come to fly past FERNANDO SILPH's cheek--cutting it. the sound of it landing behind the former councilman was heard and, had he chosen to see what the item was, he would come to find the weapon to be an assassin's knife. upon that said knife there was slither of poison upon it.

how long would it take for the poison to act? that would all depend upon him. "got my gift!?" he called out in the cloud of hidden smoke. maneuvering simultaneously within it. "entertain me and i'll give you the antidote. me and my seviper were looking forward to having some fun! don't disappoint us!" seviper would emerge from the smoke to surprise the councilman with a POISON TAIL from the side. hissing loudly enough for the councilman to react.

salamance shoots a flamethrower through the wall back to where it remembered seeing the tapu fini. it would soar into the air and would release a second flamethrower from above toward tapu fini.

HAZE is used by seviper. though it is called "SNIPING HAZE".
a cloud of black soot envelops both them and the councilman!
in the cloud of smog FERNANDO SILPH could see a glint. suddenly he is cut upon the cheek! that said "glint" lands behind him. he will see that it's a knife coated in poison.

mugen says something anime!
seviper, hissing loud enough for fernando to react, prepares to cut the councilman with a POISON TAIL !

an INTENSE PRESSURE manifested from mugen. FERNANDO SILPH had been through so much that, at this point, he should have possessed the ability to sense a bloodlust as strong as mugen's. guiding the salamance downward raging storm of hellfire ( FLAMETHROWER ) rained from above. creating an open field surrounded by nothing but searing flames of rage. "yo!"

he'd jump off of his salamance with a widened grin. "i've heard so much about you. the councilman, some sort of president, and the rumoured 'one-man army', gyahaha!" he would lick his lips with excitement. "i get to kill my first league member, and a supposedly strong one at that." which led the ranger killer to ask, "how's it feel to be the most loved man of this region? i wonder..." mugen would sniff the air, "why do you have the scent, or rather..." upon close examination, "...the look of someone who's murdered before?"

[attr="class","light"]a heavy quake began as a loud noise reverberated throughout the hidden decrypted and old rocky village of the draconid tribe. emerging from their own entrance was mugen's team. several ground-type pokemon, baiscally a group of excadrill, opened up a door for the rebel squad. upon entering the chaotic battlefield claydol were drawn to them.

"you losers deal with these. me and seviper are going out for a hunt."

better yet, as seviper remained coiled around his waist, he'd call upon another player from his reserve. "salamance, get out here." a battle scarred dragon emerged. placing himself upon the back of the winged beast. he'd grin menacingly. "take to the sky and let's see what we can find."

leaving the group with him to deal with the claydol. he would begin to search for his prey(s).

[attr="class","light"]a simple gesture was made with his hand; it was as if he were saying, "yeah, yeah whatever"! his back turned on the admin fox (Remiel Calcifet) as he departed from this realm. mugen heeded an echo that caught his attention. this echo emerged from shifting gravel. this shifting was made by a silent step that ran from the hunter himself.

a grin became affixed.

"it's showtime."

before the mission started for his group. mugen would instruct the strategist of their group to bring out electrode. once they were finished setting up the suicidal pokemon. they were set to go off.

"boom."

mugen lowly said as a large explosion of no more than two to four electrode were set off simultaneously at the entrance. this would cause the cavern itself to shake abruptly. a cave-in was made in order to lock those in. "phase one and done. make sure you scout the perimeter for these other exit routes that fox masked guy talked about. i don't want a single one to get out." while sloth and delta dealt with sealing off any form of escape. it was now time for phase two.

"makin' our entrance, gyahaha!" a comrade spoke with heinous glee. "that's right, bring it out." an excadrill was called forth and commanded by its owner to create a different point of entry. a pokemon that was so attuned with the earth had a higher chance of finding a proper point of entry to cut the league officials off. for once they were to arrive, they would be greeted by an unexpected foe and his band of misfits.

mugen's group caused a cave-in.
delta (npc) and sloth (npc) were told to stay back and seal off the other exits. once done they were to meet up with the group later in the village through the entry made by another misfits excadrill.
mugen and his band of misfits are making their own entry to the dragon village. ain't nobody got time for claydol's.

his tongue clicked. and just when he was about ready to abandon the party. as the rest showed up in their own way. mugen would listen to the woman who spoke upon the communication device. "i like them already," he commented on Katherine Fairburne's request.

as Ezra Zeke arrived. mugen and his seviper, who remained coiled around him, stood at-ease for now. "oi, so you found a way in is what i'm hearin'?" he'd ask the fox-faced admin Remiel Calcifet. "anyway, you lot can do what you want. i wanna go have some fun with that group, specifically that woman (illeana reyes) and this FERNANDO SILPH guy." a menacing grin formed at the thought of the many interesting players within league's party.

sheathing his hooked swords. mugen would gently pat his seviper, "will get to play soon, friend. just give me a bit more time."

note: mugen is chatting with Remiel Calcifet.

[attr="class","light"]the individual that had just been threatened would come to gently shove the weapon away. "violence is not needed to get your way. if all goes according to plan, then we should be able to do what is needed and succeed with efficiency." the 'poindexter' stated. before continuing with his explanation, he would add, "and my codename is delta."

each person here was then handed a device. "some of you have been assigned a respective target. each with their own recorded information gathered from the base, provided by moi, and their previous history involving rocket." a photo of each individual apart of FERNANDO SILPH's team was seen upon the device. their respective photos were rightfully captured before having entered.

in unison sun-sun and luna would say, "isn't this FERNANDO SILPH?" a famous name that's constantly thrown about in rocket. he was considered a natural enemy, practically public enemy #1 for their faction. that's when mugen's ear perked. "who is he?" delta would proceed to explain all that was known since rocket's first encounter with the man. as mugen listened he could do nothing more than grin.

there wasn't much known about Xander Belmont. though the male had a powerful physique that ushered mugen's desire to test the water . his attention wasn't sought after 'what ifs', but rather someone with more concrete history. delta provided mugen with just that. illeana reyes, cait alfric, and FERNANDO SILPH. one of them that stood out the most was FERNANDO SILPH.

"and the two women alongside him are considered important?" mugen would ask. a nod was given in response by delta. "perfect." he'd call out his partnered pokemon seviper. "coil," he would order it. the black mamba then proceeded to do as requested. it would come to slither around mugen's torso and upper body nice and tight.

the well-versed killer proceeded to check his toolkit. once everything was accounted for, he would double check his hook swords. he wanted to ensure their sharpened edge were up to snuff. after all, they were generously updated by rocket per his request for something more akin to the armored body of a aggron.

mugen's face became a tint of red. he could feel the presence of strength from afar, call it a hunch if you will. the sound of shifting rock would cause the male's ear to perk. he would say nothing for the time being. "silph was it? so that's the infamous 'one-man army' i heard so much about back at the base." mugen was ready to go.

"i'll give the cap'n of this op. another minute, but after that..." mugen grinned menacingly. "i'm gonna have some fun and kick up a fuss."

note:

- mugen is talking with the npcs, so this is a filler post tbh nothing to read yet
- delta gives a rundown of what rocket knows so far about you lot, currently Xander Belmont is unknown due to lack of data.
- each of them were given a target to deal with. so i may or may not throw a npc your way in the later pages for funsies.

a snicker was heard.

"luna, look, you were right! the stars were aligned!"

a feminine voice said with glee.

"the cosmos whisper that today misfortune will befall both the league and this region, sun-sun."

a soft and quiet statement followed, manifested from the voice box of a mysterious woman.

"...zzz...stay...awake...zzz..."

a yawn would escape the tired individual.

"it's as our lady of the night said, Lulu Flint is never wrong. such an admirable woman!"

the sound of incessant typing was heard after the following statement was made.

mugen didn't expect to get stacked with a group of mixed personalities. his luck was shit. the stars weren't exactly aligned for him. he had little to no idea who any of these people were. all that he knew was that Remiel Calcifet served as team leader upon this assignment. what the rest did wasn't exactly his problem.

"oi, oi, you're all so damn noisy..." he lazily spoke to the four of them. "can't you all shut up or get lost or somethin'...?" mugen had casually found himself placed flat on his back staring up at the sky. he wondered when the show was about to begin. "oi, poindexter," he spoke to the individual possessing a laptop in his hand. "remind me again why we're here?"

the one he called "poindexter" became infuriated by mugen's chosen nickname for him. the individual that praised rocket's head scientist would begin to inform the group to their being here. "it is our objective to ensure that the league cannot obtain the fragments they seek. our squadron was formed out of the data i gathered on everyone here, led by our fearless admin Remiel Calcifet! as a member of this team you will do well to listen to our great admin!" mugen dozed off in the middle of the individual's explanation. he was immensely bored.

as they waited for the arrival of Remiel Calcifet and Ezra Zeke. they would come to await, allowing for league ( or rather silph faction ) to purposely get ahead of them. each person here was gathered for one reason or another. the group remained out of sight for now.

standing from his 'rocky seat' mugen would stretch out his arm. "so, from what i understand, you rejects will be playing with-slash-picking up rocks like children who never had a friend at recess?" the 'poindexter' would try to interject, but he would be halted with a single finger. "i don't get off to rocks, i prefer people. so tell the goddamn 'admin' and his lackey to hurry the hell up." he'd hold a knife taken from his waist bag and placed it to the male's throat.

"you wouldn't like me when i'm bored. i'd hate to kill one of lulu's pets." mugen forewarned the rocket grunt.

- nothing important happened, mugen and the npc brady bunch saw FERNANDO SILPH (and co.?) enter ahead of them.

- mugen is sitting back with a bunch of npcs waiting for Remiel Calcifet and Ezra Zeke to show.

[attr="class","light"]so they were people given supernatural ability by a pokemon? that sounded pretty rare, and also fascinating. it started to make him develop unpleasant ideas. "so you're all some sort of chosen plaything by a pokemon." a hand would cover his mouth as he thought more on it. "talk about exciting," the guardsman blushed. "i wanna play with one."

he'd turn to Lulu Flint, asking, "before we start, tell me, do the people who're league have some of those whatever you are? how strong are they? is there one who can't die?" he wasn't sure if Lulu Flint knew the information he wanted. but he believed that she was aware of enough to make him excited for the future ahead. "you tell me what i want and i'll be obedient for as long as you need, beautiful." he grinned madly with joy.

"to think there was more going on in hoenn than i had thought. you really know how to make a guy's heart-skip, you just don't miss!" he'd let out a bellowed laugh. winding his right arm and cracking his neck, mugen would say, "alright, alright. i got no choice but to play nice with you. i owe you for telling me something sweet." he would make sure to behave himself, for now, on this mission.

[attr="class","light"]winding-up his right arm. a strange word escaped Lulu Flint 's maw, "avatar?" he repeated with a brow risen. "is that some sort of special, elite title?" he'd ask questionably. though, before Lulu Flint could answer, she'd ask of whether he was ready to go or not.

"hell yeah," he toothily grinned. "just tell me what the hell a avatar is on the way there though."
