guilt shouldn't even be a factor, really, as there is nothing to feel guilty for. the two of them tried it once but it didn't work out. end of story. so he should be happy that luka's found someone else.

he smiles back, returning the same energy as they make their way to the restaurant.

"i haven't seen the line yet but i do hope one's forming." he jokes, chuckling. "it's been quiet for me. i've only dated once after we broke up, and that ended terribly."

luka's six tequila shots versus danny's six glasses of beer. yeah, she definitely has him beat here.[break][break]

danny's singing voice isn't much of a singing voice, but it does the song enough justice to not sound atrocious. it doesn't matter much anyways as the main point here is to have fun with his friend.[break][break]

so he sings danny's part, following along like a young john travolta.[break][break]

when it's over, he's pulling her into a hug as the crowd (what little of it in the bar) applauds them off stage.[break][break]

in another world maybe danny would've been brave enough to joke about how she sure lives up to her reputation, but in this one, he simply sighs, relieved as the plate is yoinked away from him.[break][break]

he chuckles shortly before taking a spoonful of beef stew himself. it's probably the best he's ever made.[break][break]

"but i guess that's why you like me."

as expected, the bar owner hesitates, stumbling on his words before coming up with a lie any six-year-old could concoct.[break][break]

it makes him cough this time. he swallows his spit before reaching for one of his doublades. the other disappears into the SHADOW, SNEAKING.[break][break]

not really, but he figures this lie does more good than harm.

"now let's get out of here before the cops show up from noise complaints."

similar logic in the sense of treating the weapon as an extension of himself. the similarities end there, however, as danny quickly finds that wielding a polearm is vastly different than a mere sword.[break][break]

hurting sherlock is the last thing danny wants, really, but he understands the importance of training and how it'll only strengthen and help sherlock grow as a pokemon.[break][break]

perhaps too focused on sherlock, danny doesn't notice how much the BURN has affected buggy. the heracross stumbles back to its feet just in time to meet the EMBER.[break][break]

"oh, shit."[break][break]

though buggy has GUTS, danny knows better than to push especially when this isn't a real fight. it's just training.[break][break]

recalling buggy, danny sighs, looking over at sherlock and nagi before clapping.[break][break]

"great job, friends!"

again, the man is very clearly talking to nina, but before he can say more, danny's quick to interject with business, perhaps hoping to get out of here as soon as possible.[break][break]

danny glances around before raising his beer to sip.[break][break]

"but you haven't been paying your fees. why is that?"

danny definitely plays video games. oh, how he's spent nights playing games with nagi miwa until dawn only to do the same thing the next night.[break][break]

her reaction, while expected, is also cute. it makes him smile as he looks at her, ignoring the colorful fabrics for now.[break][break]

"my backstory is that i'm a local villager, once bound for great things only to fall into despair after my parents died. the church saved me, and in turn, i've devoted my life to helm, god of protection."[break][break]

he's definitely put a lot of thought and work into this.[break][break]

"you have a few classes to pick from," he gestures over to the board behind the counter which has pictures of the different classes. "i think the fighter class suits you. or ranger. something martial. strong."
