[attr="class","danny"]danny stumbles along the now bright hallways of her penthouse home, slowly waking up with each step. he yawns, then stops by the room he knows arc was in. he pushes the door open just enough to peer in. he sees his arcanine fast asleep and laying on something that he hopes isn't one of her pokemon. content, he silently closes the door, then walks out into the kitchen.

chuckling, he slides the brownies that were never had away and clears enough space for him to start preparing. here, he's left to his own thoughts, and though preparing and cooking distract him a little, it's not enough to stop him from reflecting back on what happened yesterday.

did they go on a date? is this a one night stand? will he ever see her again after this? what about the paparazzi? will he be forced into the limelight? his mind races with what feels like a million thoughts. so he pulls out his phone, taps on whatever social media, and starts mindlessly scrolling. surprisingly, it's enough to keep his thoughts at bay.

he's pulled back when he feels her arms wrapping around him. it feels warm, nice, and he smiles.

"good morning," he sticks the spatula underneath the pancake, flipping it over. with a little longer left to wait for the last pancake, he turns to face her while making sure to stay in her arms. his own falls around her, holding her close."you smell good. you look good."

"i wasn't sure what you liked so i decided on comfort food. well, comfort food for me, anyways."

[attr="class","danny"]i'd pick spending time with you over those pesky mosquitos any day.

though he doesn't say it, he's glad to hear it. warmth spreads across his chest, reaching up to his cheeks. it's easy to hide them this time as he nestles closer to her neck.

he softly groans when she pulls away from him; his arm trails after her but he makes no real attempts to stop her. just being playful, really. but at the mention of breakfast, he also rises to a seated position, then shakes his head.

"don't worry. i'll make us breakfast." he reaches a hand up to brush strands of hair away from her cheek, touch lingering for longer than he should before he leans forward to give her a quick kiss. "you can stay here and rest. you need it after yesterday."

he leaves her with a flirty joke, then stands to start getting dressed. though his clothes are scattered across the room, he's only really looking for his pants. he soon leaves, but not before stopping by her to give her another quick kiss, this time on her forehead.

[attr="class","danny"]to her first question, he gently nods as his eyes slowly adjusted to the brightness. he focuses on her smile. to her second question, he shakes his head and mutters: "no, i really like it. it feels nice."

"i did," barely comes out as a whisper. he gives into the comfort she provides and snuggles close to her as if he couldn't bear the distance between them. his eyes close for moments, resting.

it has been a while since he's felt like this, too. still slightly groggy, he hasn't quite had the time to process things yet, and it'll likely be a while until he does. for now, he's more than content with just laying in bed with her.

"so did i," he chuckles; eyes slowly opening again. her smile is gentle, warm, and he naturally mirrors it. "nothing as important as you right now, serena."

did he cross a line? possibly. but it doesn't even occur to him, too lost in the moment.

"how about you? not keeping you from any paparazzi today, am i?"

he's not a morning person, not in the slightest, and given how active he had been the entire day and night yesterday, a long rest is exactly what he needs.

"morning." slowly stirring awake, he soon opens his eyes to the shining sun and as blinding as it might be, it's not what has his attention. he smiles, warm. "are you playing with my hair?"

it feels nice. this feels nice.

he shifts closer so their bodies touch, relishing her warmth.

[attr="class","danny"]the ringing of her phone startles him, too, and it drags him out of the moment. he sighs, slightly frustrated that they were interrupted again, but her presence does more than enough to calm him.

"more like interrupted."

he laughs it off and watches her step away. when she does, he turns and leans against the counter. he leaves his shirt unbuttoned.

the smell floats, spreading across the kitchen, and it smells lovely. he smiles at her comment, then feigns a playful shrug.

"i'm not too sure."

he turns his body towards her, elbow leaned against the counter.

"but we were interrupted. seems only fair to continue where we left off."

his lips curl into a smirk.

"wouldn't you agree?"

[attr="class","danny"]she's good. she's really good. she has him in her grasps and she knows it. but it's not like he's resisting; if anything, he's easily giving in.

"we don't."

there is not an ounce of discomfort in him as he's tugged closer. he expects it, craves it, and quick pecks are not nearly enough to satisfy him. he kisses her back, lips parting to get a better taste.

his hands start to roam, starting at her waist. he finds skin and brushes along it, traveling upwards. briefly, he remembers the brownies in the oven. he barely pulls away from the kiss to ask:

"how long do we have?"

[attr="class","danny"]oh how much he wants to simply reach into his pocket and call out his arcanine. his possible savior. but that would mean conceding to angelo and the mere thought of it is enough to propel him forward.

"not that far..."

he pants.

"not that far..."

he pants again.

"mate it's pretty fucking far—"

his words escape him as short breaths. man's struggling to keep up, that much is evident by how he slows down a little and how heavy he's breathing.
