Cardamom let out a small sigh as the music died down. Apparently the group with the fancams had won most of the attention there. Above her, she heard Shin let out a small, sulky "urs", and she just knew that he had his forearms crossed. She lifted him down from her shoulders, swaying him back and forth slightly.[break][break]
"Hey there buddy, it's alright," she said, patting him on the head. "You did pretty good out there, and the concert was nice, wasn't it?" Eventually, she managed to sooth him enough that he was no longer giving the other groups nasty stares. With a sigh of relief, she lifted him up so that he was now hanging off one of her shoulders and went to talk to the rest of the mosh pit group.[break][break]
"Well, we didn't win, but the concert itself was good, wasn't it?" she offered.

Cardamom's brother, Luke, picked this Absol up in an alleyway, somehow managing to win his trust with an extra-spicy fruit tart. He is constantly on edge around strangers, and extremely clingy towards the Bliss siblings. While he's more of Luke's Pokemon, he will accompany Cardamom on their adventures if Luke asks him to. His blade is quite chipped and cracked, and he actually doesn't use it in battle at all. With care, it's gotten a bit better, though it may not ever be at its full potential.

A quiet and observant creature, Cardamom and Shin ran into her while they were trying to chase down a Toucannon who's stolen their breakfast cereal. While they failed to track it down, they did encounter a new friend. She had been trying to track down the Toucannon as well due to them having disturbed her training. Cardamom offered to share some of her family's treats with the Riolu, who agreed to come along, and found the snacks delicious enough that she decided she wouldn't mind sticking around for a bit more.

The first Pokemon that Cardamom captured on their own, Biff is a bit of a grump and somewhat wary of Shin. He prefers the company of Fern the Amoonguss, one of Cardamom's mama Cori's Pokemon, probably due to them both being mushrooms. However, he does also enjoy getting to travel around on Cardamom's shoulders, and they've found out the spot on his carapace that he likes getting scratched the most.

Banana Bread and Cardamom both winced as the bolt of electricity came flying towards the Tropius. He didn't even try to dodge, instead choosing to fly forwards right at his opponent, closing the distance before the thunder crackled around him, making his muscles seize up tightly. He froze in midair, struggling to move and get in closer. However, halfway to approaching his opponent, his body finally froze completely, his wings barely able to flap enough to keep him upright. Cardamom let out a worried hiss.[break][break]
"Come on Banana Bread!" she whispered. "You can do it!" But for now, the Tropius was a sitting Ducklett for whatever the Rotom planned to do next.

The energy in the mosh pit was wild enough that Cardamom didn't really want to put Shin down, but at some point he'd wriggled off her shoulders anyways. She let out a yelp when she realized, immediately crouching down and trying her best to push her way past the rest of the dancing crowd to look for her tiny companion. "Shin?" she called, extremely worried. "Shin, where are you?" She heard a few yelps coming from the crowd-surfing and fancam groups, but didn't put those to mind until the Teddiursa came scampering back, a sneaky smirk on his face as he brushed off his claws. She frowned, picking him up to stare at his eyes.[break][break]
"Shin, you haven't been causing trouble for the other teams, have you?" she asked. He shrugged and let out an innocent "ursa". Sighing, she scooped him back onto her shoulders. "Don't run off again, now will you?" she murmured softly.[break][break]

Cardamom didn't quite know how she and Shin had ended up in the mosh pit, but she'd somehow gotten caught up in the high energy of the crowd anyways. Cheering and yelling, she was now jumping up and down with everyone else, Shin now perched on her shoulders in order to stop him from being trampled or sneaking off to try and mess with the other groups. Instead, for now he simply raised his claws and Slashed at the air, roaring as loud as his little bear lungs could and doing his best to win the singer's attention.[break][break]

"Well, it was actually my mom's idea. All her Pokemon have names like that." Cardamom wasn't quite sure how to respond to the compliment about the name, since she herself found it a somewhat odd choice of theme. Still, she wasn't about to complain to it to someone who seemed to like said name.[break][break]
Cardamom nodded at the offer to go first. "Sure! Just let me get situated first," she added, Banana Bread already diving down to set her down on a nearby rock before flying back up to meet the Rotom head-on. He wasn't as agile, of course, but as he flew back up to face his opponent he let out a low bellow, a cry of challenge. Cardamom grinned up at him, cupping her hands to her mouth to call out her first command.[break][break]
"Let's start big! Leaf Tornado!" The Tropius' leafy wings started flapping even faster as she ordered the move to be used, and slowly bits of leaves started gathering around him, collecting into a ring around his middle before they flew forwards, encircling the Rotom in a whirling dervish of leaves that sliced and cut at the Ghost-type.[break][break]

Cardamom definitely noted Thor's distress. Although she knew she probably shouldn't feed him without explicit permission from his trainer, she just couldn't pass up sad puppy eyes like that. Picking up a bone-shaped biscuit with several assorted flavor berry bits mixed in, she leaned over to hold it out as an offering, even as Michiko evaluated her work. If Thor seemed interested, she would happily toss it for him to catch.[break][break]
"You really like it?" she asked, sounding a mix of surprised and hopeful. The compliments did seem genuine enough to get her to perk up a bit, blinking bashfully. And then Michiko asked for a second.[break][break]
"O-oh! Of course I can!" Cardamom quickly grabbed another cookie and several more piping bags, this time being a bit more careful about not squeezing them too hard. This time, there wasn't any uneven frosting, at least, although the shape was still somewhat shaky and less symmetrical. Her attempts at filling in the outline flood-style also weren't quite effective, leading to some uneven coloring. Still, the final result was one that she could feel much more proud of. This one she handed over with far less shyness.[break][break]
"Here you go!" she chirped. "I even made them face different directions so it can look like they're kissing each other!" Indeed, the two Luvdisc cookies were mirror images of each other, at least in the sense of which direction they faced.

Cardamom heard someone calling out to her, and turned, taking a moment to make sure that it was actually directed at her. Not seeing anyone else in the general vicinity, she nodded, directing Banana Bread to turn in Kyle's direction and fly a bit closer. "Yeah! I was kind of planning to just participate in some of the games, but battling was pretty fun too!" She started slightly when the Aerodactyl lunged forward, but Banana Bread's response was simply to glare intimidatingly. Luckily, Kyle seemed to have the fossil Pokemon under control.[break][break]
"Anyways, I heard there were bonus prizes for certain types of battling, and one of them was a Sky Battle! Banana Bread didn't get to participate in the last fight, so I thought I could crack two eggs with the same bowl and let him stretch his limbs a bit!" She patted the Tropius on the neck affectionately as she spoke, just to make clear who she was talking about.

Okay, technically Cardamom was just here to help out with her parents' booth, and she'd mostly signed up for the tournament just as an afterthought. After all, there were supposed to be several other events she could participate in to earn points. Still, actual battles were actually quite the thrill to direct. And since Banana Bread had missed the last one due to being stuck on advertising duty, she figured she owed him one.[break][break]
Which was why the two of them were currently flying a ways above the beach, looking around for other people who might be open to a challenge. Banana Bread's advertising board had also been helpfully replaced with a quickly hand-drawn "Seeking Challenges" board, in font hopefully large enough to be seen from below as well. Then again, maybe they'd encounter someone else also taking to the air to find a challenge.[break][break]
"You're the only one I've got who can do a Sky Battle," noted Cardamom, patting the Tropius on the head. "So let's try and see if we can find someone else in the sky to challenge, alright?" The Tropius let out a murmur of assent, bringing a smile to her face.
