Some people say that all publicity is good publicity, and generally Mars wouldn't agree with that, however... It's different when it comes to contests. A slow start seems to have no negative effect on the banker and he still sports a brilliantly confident smile. After all, scores aside, the last performance had been meant to be hilarious, what is hilarious is memorable, and memorable gets you cash.

As if in an ode to parenthood, the Dragapult trills, its bioluminescent scales shining a SPOTLIGHT upon the pair of Dreepy.

Can anyone argue with that definition of toughness and not look like a prick? Probably not, but of course our wonderful P.O.G Bank CEO wouldn't choose this performance with that intention in mind. Never! He just really supports families, alright?

As one of the directors of Team Rocket's M.A.G.M.A Division, it's not unusual for Mars to visit Cillian Quinn's Blackstone Labs. The science and research side of things has always been something in which his fellow underboss has more expertise, but Mars' appreciation for such fields is one that cannot be denied. He generally is rather pleased when his work ends up leading him here.

It doesn't take all that long for them to encounter another pokémon, this time among roses. It occurs to Mars that perhaps the Safari Zone puts particular effort into having their temperatures be warmer during the month of February, to be suitable for the Valentine's Day theme.

The presence of the Gardevoir apparently attracts that of a Gallade, but it's with disinterest and disdain that Phemonoe regards her male counterpart. Quite frankly, she couldn't care less.

This time, she doesn't bother with scaring the pokémon away, but this time it's the Unown that does after its presence interrupts Mars' stargazing (by way of it using its PSYCHO CUT on a nearby tree).

Mars had learned to snowboard only a few miles away from Snowpoint City. The Marzáns have a beautiful chalet near Lake Acuity, and even though Mars' own relationship with his grandparents is a complex one full of hatred and disdain, that is a place of which he has fond memories (not because of them, naturally).

However, when faced with Kolya's question a lie comes as smooth and easily as they always do to him, backed by a Paldean name and biographies that tell the story of how Martín del Mar grew up in the delightful south of Kalos:

"At the Glaseado Mountains, actually. This place reminds me of them with all the Paldean pokémon showing up lately."

One of which finds itself faced with a Magneton, but as per usual, this proves to be no problem for Mars' snowboarding Gholdengo. No commands need to be given when it comes to defense and retaliation, and it's after a short struggle that the Magnet Pokémon falls to Oro's PSYCHIC power.

Mars has never needed alcohol as a way to gain courage, and anxiety over social interactions is something that he has never really experienced. But... he can understand what this game's version of Oscar is saying. To a degree, at least.
