Clever little tease. mint frost wouldn't weasel out of Calem's grasp that easy. Yet he followed the other and did not press the issue, just enjoying the flushed pink of his face and the mischief they were getting into.

Up close, the flowers were even prettier. The hillside view was amazing. Calem gave a glance and nod to Luxray before finding a nice spot to sit amongst the blossoms.

Intel had told him they were strange and a chance they were dangerous. Calem found he didn't really care, sitting down amongst the blossoms. He held a hand out to mint frost.

"Sit with me?" Asked innocently enough. Even with the warming Spring of a tropical night, there was still a slight chill in the air. Perhaps he could coax the other to rest under his arm. Then he could...

Well, best not to get ahead of himself.

"I know we can not stay long, yet I am reluctant to leave. The sooner we leave, the sooner we part ways for the night."

Calem glances up, sharp and quick. Martín del Mar would see his face morph from a flat and blank expression to that of a polite smile. Blink and you miss it. The picture of kindness. It's a bit eerie how the Hatterenne wears a similar expression. What was the old saying, though? Pokemon took after their trainers? Maybe it wasn't so unusual, then.

"Thank you very much. We've been working very hard. Right?" He glances towards the Beeheeyem, whose face lights up once again.

His own eyes glance over the pokemon before he nods lightly and clicks his tongue. The Hatterene walks over with measured steps before slamming down with a Brutal Swing on the Munna. It hits the ground and stays still. A Luxury Ball is plucked from an empty pocket and tossed at the pink pokemon.

"Calem Pollet. Lovely to meet you." He lowers his head and bows to the other like a prince might.

There was a small thrill that went through him. Did mint frost have a naughty side, too? Sneaking closer to some rare and off limits flower wasn't something just everyone did. Calem had no problem with it; but finding that the other was willing to put that aside was interesting.

Of course he allowed Mint to pull him closer. In fact, he would take that chance to try and sneak an arm around the other, rest a hand on his hip.

"If you think we can." Is whispered between them, almost breathless. This small conspiracy between them. "But if we get caught, you owe me a kiss. Deal?" His smile widened into something playful. His own mischief.

"Very important." Is repeated back. jayden cross should know so well how Calem likes to play his games. It is only after he has had his fun that anything would be revealed.

For his part, Calem makes himself at home. A chair is pulled out so he can sit on it, cross his legs politely with his hands in his lap. There is something predatory even in that small action.

"When I return to Hoenn, you will be coming with me." His smile is not as kind as it was before, even if it was wider. "Underboss Choi was murdered by the League. We need more strong Rockets there until things are stable once again." Not that Calem cared very much about stability. This was just another chance for him to have fun.

The Hatterene points. Another Hatterene points back, a mirror image. This one is scuffed and scarred; clearly a pokemon who had seen much battle and hardships. Yet she smiles at the unfamiliar pair of Martín del Mar and his pokemon. She smiles and she watches with beady eyes that reflect kindness.

There is another, a Beeheeyem. It floats in front of the redhead. A large rock is lifted with psychic force before being lowered to the ground gently. More effort than most Psychic types bother to put in. As Mars would know- it was not the lifting that was the hardest part, it was having the control to not just release the psychic force.

"Again." Is called out, almost softly. Calem hadn't noticed them yet, even if his Hattrene has. The Beeheeyem's face lights up in an odd pattern before it does as told- lifting the rock again so it can place it precisely back down.

"Cross." A nod to the other, hips lips curling further upwards.

A quick flip and he reached into one of his deep coat pockets. A small, flat package with nice wrapping was pulled out before being offered.

"I couldn't miss a friend's birthday." Is purred out, sweet. If jayden cross didn't know any better, it might even sound like he meant it.

Inside was a knife. Serrated. Meant for ripping and pain. A fine gift, in Calem's eyes.

"I also have very important news for you."

Dinner had went wonderful. His date, mint frost, had seemed a bit nervous. Yet he had excelled; most others would have used the dessert spoon for the soup or something silly as that. Mint had done excellent. The other was flustered, which was cute, but they had fallen into an easy and gentle conversation.

Mint was interesting in his own way. Usually Calem would only keep whatever fluff his dates talked about in his head long enough to get what he wanted.

Calem was very interested in getting what he wanted from Mint. So, it was time to turn his charm up.

Hand in hand, Calem raked his eyes quickly over the Crystalblooms before turning his gaze back to his date. The lights from the blooms seemed to dance with every gust of wind, shifting them subtly. Yet, Calem had found something else to stare at.

While Mint looked out over the flowers, Calem was staring right at Mint's eyes.

The shift in the wind, the way the lights danced, in the low light it seemed to make the other's eyes sparkle. Like crystal or some polished gem.

"Yes." Was agreed, quietly. "Very beautiful." He did not divert his gaze.

I need you to take care of something for me.

A summons that Calem could not ignore. Even if that fool Cillian Quinn thought he was needed in Hoenn- one did not ignore Father.

Calem's steps find a sharp rhythm as he walks. The steel in his boots bit into the tiles as he made his way down hallway after hallway. Grunts who spotted him did double takes- those who were in his way dove to avoid it. Calem Pollet was in Kanto and he was on a mission.

He stops in front of one door, heels clicking into place. Perfectly postured, perfectly straight. Black gloved hands knocked sharply on jayden cross's door.

When the other answered, he would find Calem in all his usual, smiling glory. Friendly, if the other didn't know what that smile hid. An angry red hand-print decorated his cheek; the imprint of a ring having left a small bruise.

The real secret of all this was mint frost unlocking the cheat code to getting Calem interested. It had less to do with the lies and hand holding and more to do with his cute face and waist so snatched he could probably touch his thumbs together if he used both hands. Of course, Calem had less innocent ideas that just milkshake dates. Ideas that would involve Mint getting sand in places that sand should not be.

Mint escapes the touch. Calem is a hound on a scent but knows better to chase when it might scare off the query.

So, Calem joins Mint on the bench.

"Perhaps I should have invited you for dinner, then." Turning, Calem rests his arm on the backrest behind Mint. "Gotten you some place cool... I will need to make it up to you." A small grin.

"If you would be so forgiving, I could take you out this Saturday?"

"Maybe we can get number eight together." An amused noise. "Then I would need to be there for number nine... It would be sad not to see you get number ten, after." A silly promise. Of seeing mint frost again, spending more time with him. More fake dates. Maybe... more real ones, instead?

The card is accepted back and tucked into his pocket and they slip away to wait on their order.

"It's no problem, Mint. It was rather cute." Calem hummed and honed in on Mint's face, a false look of concern sweeping over his features; except for the very slightest of smiles. As always. "Oh, my. Are you still not feeling well?" The hand on Mint's waist was, sadly, removed.

But that didn't mean Mint was safe from it. At Calem's concerned comment, he tried to gently cup the other's cheek, rub a gloved thumb over the reddest spot.

"You're so warm... You must have a terrible fever. Here- let's sit down." A nod towards a nearby, shady bench.

mint frost took Calem's hand and his eyebrow shot up. Forward. Calem was only interested in what he could wring from the other's body but it was surprising. So far, Mint had struck Calem as more of a chase. Pity.

The corners of his lips quirked when he realized what the other was doing.

To make it more believable, Calem leaned against the other. He slipped his hand free when Mint went for his wallet; any chance to feel the other up. His arm was wrapped around the other, hand on his hip. Calem gave it a firm squeeze while he could get away with it.

"I promised I would treat us, Mojito." His free hand slipped into his pocket, pulling out a leather wallet branded with designer initials. A black card was passed to the kid along with Mint's card.

Calm nods along, as if engrossed in what mint frost has to say.

"I'm from Johto. It gets very cold in the area I lived in, as well."

Calem allows Mint to lead; it gives him the chance to glance down freely and take in the other's behind. When Mint looks his way again, he's quick to liven up his smile and make it look like he totally wasn't checking him out at all. "A Mint Mojito would be lovely."

He glances at the menu.

"... shame they don't have that flavor. Well, I'll get a Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake."
