paxton concordas grabs Calem and all the blond would see is that vicious smile. Whatever satisfaction that Paxton got from slamming his head into the table might be besmirched; this was what Calem wanted, at least in part. His plan had worked and they both knew it.

Plates rattle as his head slams down.

The Xatu shifts and it's subtle.

Wind picks up as razors of solidified air slice at the other. Pushing at the other to create some distance, keep Calem from getting his head caved in.

His eyes meet Paxton's again. A red spot in on his forehead, a trickle of blood running down his cheek. It mixes with a smudge of white frosting that's on Calem's cheek and mouth. His tongue traces the frosting and blood on his lip, the two mixing, slow and almost sensual. He still has that fucking grin. He winks.

Then the flash of a teleport.

And Calem is gone.

Calem does not care what paxton concordas calls his Xatu because he calls it much worse behind closed doors.

Slow, uncoiling like a snake, he rises to meet the other.

Leans forward. His own hands flat on the table, a mirror of Paxton. The other would be able to smell his cologne- something sickly and metallic hiding just underneath. Smirking. Always smirking.

There are many things Calem knows he could say to set Paxton off.

Instead, he settles on using the proximity to steal a kiss.

Unlike paxton concordas, who instantly reached for weapons, Calem stays still and calm. Collected. Maybe a little too collected. The Xatu stays still.

"I was sure that your tongue was slipped out of your throat." A pointed look is given at the uncovered scar. "I suppose we just have to be wrong sometimes."

A coy tilt of the head.

"What's wrong? Not happy to be my date?"

And then paxton concordas would see him.

Calem. Sitting with one leg crossed over the other, a perfect princely pose shadowed by a deathly still Xatu at his back.

He flicked his eyes up and down Paxton but caught on his throat, then looked more closely at his face. His smile etched into something more fierce, mocking, baring his teeth like an animal.

"How nice to see you again-" His eyes flick to the provided paper. "Paxton. I had wondered what ignoramus would grope a woman in public."

"Ah?" It seemed, for a moment, that maybe mint frost had stunned Calem speechless. Just for a moment, just long enough. In the moment that the other glanced away to save himself, Mint would kiss the briefly hungry look that crossed Calem's face; Mint was the steak and Calem the starving dog. A quick breath and Calem ran his tongue over his lower lip.

"You sure have."

Leaned in, quick, to purr in Mint's ear in a husky breath.

But then Calem just smiled sweetly. Voice normal after he cleared his throat behind his fist.

"Ah, you know the area better than myself, then." Calem rolled on past, as if he hadn't said anything at all.

"I've only lived there since the summer. This mild winter is very different than what I'm used to dealing with. Perhaps you can show me some nice local shops, sometime? I feel as if I still get lost."

In their walking, Calem waved towards a little boardwalk shop. Milkshakes, smoothies, icees... all homemade. A hole in the wall but it looked busy. Maybe not the kind of 'drink' that Mint had expected but it was at least nearby. "I've seen this place a few times when I'm in Slateport but I've been too shy to visit on my own." And, from the looks of it, most of the people hovering around were families with children or couples.

Hide Moriya's hand was shook- but Calem didn't let it go, pulling it up to press a kiss on the back of the other man's hand with a small wink. A coy smile graced his lips when he straightened back up.

"Perhaps I will call you for a real date... if you would be so willing?" Spoken without missing a beat.

His own drink was picked up and a long sip taken from it, fox-like grin never leaving him.

"A shame we haven't more time. Tell me about yourself, Hide."

It was a good thing that Hide Moriya liked red, because he was sure getting it.

Calem walked with all the charm and grace of a storybook prince. And when he was close enough, he smiled and offered his hand to the other.

"Calem. Are you Hide?" A soft smile given to his current date. "It's so lovely to meet you." He paused and swept his eyes over the other, quick. "And so lucky for me, if I may be so bold." A deep and rich laugh was given after.

The bell dings to signal the end and Calem tips his drink back.

"I hope your next date is excellent as well, Ceri." A small nod to her as Calem places his empty glass back down with a small 'tink' on the table. "Come, Xatu." The psychic type, which had been eerily still the whole time, now gives a very subtle shift as his trainer moves.

"In my experience, most people don't. I've sold shit smeared on a canvas for tens of thousands before. It's just good PR and how nice of a story you can spin." A shrug. Most of the art Calem had seen was, in his opinion, ugly as hell. Few artists and their work really captures his attention.

"That's very kind of you to say." Glancing around, Calem raises a hand for one of the bustling and busy waiters. Soon, a drink is slid to Ceri Glynn, something far too cheap for his tastes. Still, he raises his own. "A toast to our future luck in love?" Ice clinks in amber liquid. Their time was almost up, after all.

A solemn nod was given in agreement with Ceri Glynn. Networking was very important for such a job as hers.

"I'm not sure this meeting will be fruitful for you, unless networking with an art dealer helps. Though, a lovely conversation is always welcome." Calem stays serene, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips the whole time.

"I am afraid I am in the same boat as you, Ceri." His face softened a bit and smile lowered subtly- but did not go completely away. "It is harder than one would expect to find a partner." A pause. "Well, one who lasts for more than a night or so."
