typically, caden doesn't try to stay much later after his shift than necessary. after all, he only has so many free days off. that being said, he had stayed after that day waiting for a colleague who had later bailed on him.

[break][break] it made him in such a state that he barely was watching where he was going, when his leg caught unexpectedly on someone which nearly sent him spiraling into the pavement. the rocket caught himself just in time, face twisting with annoyance. "the fuck —" he started, before blinking at the sight that accosted him.

[break][break] "shit," he muttered, immediately dropping to the floor. "hey," he said, fingers reaching out to feel the ginger's pulse. was he dead? fuck. "are you okay?"
