Caden tried to - poorly - measure the distance of the other man, but it was difficult and all too fast.

But there was something unsettling about being paralyzed and stuck in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but creepy ghosts to keep you company.

[break][break] Almost as if his irritable thought conjured the other boy into existence, they appeared. A flash of red hair and a brilliant white light that had him flinching backwards.

[break][break] caden's voice called back, feeling particularly petulant in that moment. because he hadn't wanted to be here, certainly not alone, but this was just another one of those occasions when marcus kotov wielded his superiority over him, telling him to go in his steed simply because he didn't want to.

[break][break] the grunt walked languidly out of the shadow and into view. from a distance, it wouldn't really seem like he was a team rocket grunt. after all, caden refused to wear that ugly uniform.

[break][break] he wore a clean, black sweater that looked like it was made of 100% cotton, slacks, and fashionable black gloves. his hair was perfect coiffed. it looked almost like he was out of place here, which he probably was.
